A vacation you better forget. Dining room was too small for the mass of tourists if you half an hour too late is almost all emptied and there are hardly any refilled. We have the three weeks only outside eaten there the food the resort just too bad. The area is wonderful and i am the 6. time and every year it will be worse. I would give this resort two years and it is not more exestieren. The owner amsha is broke. Their houses and hotels in samana and Puerto Plata they had already sell. For me the last ... time %blank%. read more

We were now already in the Casa Marina for the 5. time and always view it more than three star rating. I have but now abjure, are october '11 is the standard very strong downward gone. There were to 80% canadians in the hotel the only drunk and noisily through the hotel or facilities moved, so that even the local police to be called had. In the evening was this people the beach garbage and the clos so verwüsstet the you, if you have to, to the room went. Earlier the dining room in the evening always so lovingly decorated ... and decorated, no trace of them. Also the food is not more what it was times. The quality has worse bottled replaces the in the eiswürfelkühlboxen chilled was where you constantly the ice cube for the beverages extracted, simply disgusting! The rooms seemed run-down and musty. To complaints one has managed to squeeze us at least a room without fustiness to give. The cleanliness of the rooms was despite daily tip to be desired.
Unfortunately around the Casa Marina it is now three stars not even more value!
Furthermore we had the impression the cathedral. Republic as a travel destination always less worth it?! For the people is the demand to tip in the first place, without very much for it do to want. Your life you were the rum and idleness prescribed.
We will now times another destination find, were just disappointed! read more

An older hotel, the three stars standard.
Accordingly you sit in the restaurant and in the hotel only plastic chairs.
The complex is cleaned daily. We especially want to the cleanliness the toilets in the area say. These were several times cleaned daily.
We were from mid-january in the hotel and had a nice crowd. Clearly the locals, the at the weekend hotel, even louder. This is the mentality of the whole country. Everything is clearly louder than with us. read more

The Casa Marina Reef in combination with the casa Marina Beach Hotel a large and well thought out hotel area with two large swimming pools and several small paddling pool for children. There are two own beautiful beaches, one of which would be publicly accessible. The three hot tubs, right on the reef offer sea view. Between reef & beach there were hardly any differences. In the last few years both installations renovated. The rooms at the beach are a bit bigger and minimal equipped than the reef. The value for money is outstanding and for a 3 star hotel ... great. You should but also the expectations on the three stars and on small faults be overlooked. read more

Foreign languages skills in the hotel and at the check in - nothing
Dinner - lunch is unfortunately not at all ( definitely the à la carte coupons benefit)
Excursions definitely not with the travel guide book-totally overpriced - in the town are sufficient people offering, which the excursions for Eindrittel offer
Really relaxing in the hotel - difficult - noise, noise, noise by Canadians and locals ( especially at the weekend) who the hotel people and all Garbage, cups etc. And leave where it is.
Beach is okay - matter of taste, the sosua beach-but permanent Seller clear block. ...
Purchases for cigars, etc. - definitely the supermarket at the large main street use, around new, fresh products to receive.
Sosua is unfortunately a Rotlichtecke with only 50-year-old men Europa the cheap with almost minor girls pleasure. - bad.
In short: who no expectations has, not increase as the food anyway is appalling, 2 weeks beach vacation and beautiful excursions -perfectly adequate. read more

Casa Marina reef is one of the largest hotel in sosua. The rooms are completely renovated and partly for a three star hotel more than in order. The location is right on the sea front, which is due to the size and the spaciousness of the area (reef and beach) partially deserted, but certainly also because of the travel time. We found this very convenient, as we didn't find great crowded beaches. The pools were absolutely clean and cleaned in the evening. The food was very varied, definitely recommend the buffet on the Dominican evening. The breakfast was a mix ... of creole and English. Highly recommended is the coffee and bananas porridge for breakfast the chef. The cocktails and drinks are all branded spirits and soft drinks with. The show in the evening was really funny, since many of the entertainers involved all day by the pool the beach or rumwuseln. If you want to go on excursions, should definitely once after samana in the national park Los Hait Internationales. You should carry a large memory card for photos. The local diving school Merlin (below the town) is led by Jürgen you should have visited. Jürgen takes you on a snorkeling or diving tour and I know a couple of nice stories to tell. Overall was the best vacation so far and we found it hard to get to the Dominican Republic to leave. Thus absolute recommendation! read more

I was always again on the consistent friendliness of the staff in their ability to communicate in spite of many tourists and the large hotel area. The animation team showed great shows in the evening. The nightlife was very memorable and as a woman alone I was treated with respect. The locals are very friendly people and natural, the furnishings in the dining and only with large lack pushy. read more

The hotel is in a nice area but it was unfortunately renovated, so was the 24 -blocked off, and a beach section at the pool was a constant noise from the flexen, drilling, etc. At the other beach area had the neighboring hotel renovated and you heard 24 -the excavator or. The food was always served the same bad and identical at Christmas and New Years Eve and there was nothing special apart from the surcharge, The entertainment was the worst thing I have ever experienced, completely 3. The rooms were daily Klassig with dirty water mopped and the sheets ... changed on request once in 3 weeks!?! read more

a very beautiful area, (Built in about 1999), many hundred rooms over 2 blocks with 3 floors in the reef hotel distributed. The all inclusive complex, right next to the sea, in the entry lane. in this hotel you need the Reisesteckdosenadapter (our cable plugs do not fit in the 110 V doses), however, you can also in the hotel store buy, each about 3,50 euros. Most tourists were from England, Canada, Holland and Germany, in really every age group. The color of the all inclusive Bracelet, is how often the guest already in this hotel was. On the ... weekend travel Dominicans with its complete families to, the last free rooms to reserve. The Beach hotel was due to guest lack closed, that half reef (one block) hotel was due to renovation Work (little construction noise) closed, the rooms very nice. The gardener starts with its Bezinmotorsense only to work, after the guests the pool Area have taken. the guests from the rückliegenden rooms in the block 2 (this is a next renovated) know it will be charged the day and night, if it power outage is, after the Dieselnotstromgenerator its service started. read more

Ca Robert and Naomi heartily agree. Everything had been written, we can also take over for us. The public beaches left and right of the hotel have been closed for guests, was not really. The rooms were cleaned, but only to the extent that the hair from the room, the outside our room cleaned were when we were there, there were and our probably in the next room to find it again. For a floor only a bucket of water to wipe now time not really. Petra and Michael read more

The fifth time in this hotel and still highly recommended. Only downside was the Casa Marina Beach had been open, where you the last years the restaurant and so on. Could use. Apparently a remodel, but will open on the weekend for the locals. Then it is recommended that more trips. The beach is nice, but we do here pipes free, you could cover with sand. We recommend river rafting and the 28 waterfalls by Puerto Plata. You could get good food in the Mura Mi in Sosua. read more

We stayed at the Reef for 18 nights and were very pleased with what we were offered. At check in we asked for a fridge, the after some time delivered to your room. The existing furniture is old which did not bother us, they were working. The two mattresses in the king size beds weren't worn out and not too soft. We had a good night's sleep The only complaint is that the rooms weren't soundproof because you're looking for a "tunnel" were arranged at weekends or even at high Ausslastung equipt could have been disturbing. Towels and bed linen ... were changed daily, the room was cleaned properly. The food in the buffet restaurant was ok but nothing special, it was hot and tasty and was refilled regularly. The tables were schnellsmöglich cleared and cleaned. On weekend there were at times a while as then there were always a lot of lots of Dominicans at a battle field and some have left. A very different great the à-la-carte restaurants Great food, great service Beach chairs at the pool as well as the reef were sufficiently available. Some were unfortunately defective The hotel's own beach was not too big and as it might be the peak times tight. The staff in the bars were friendly, spoke no German but Can't help but wonder everywhere English and Spanish was understood. The hotel is very centrally located, in a few minutes you are in the Centrum as well as on the public beach. Unfortunately there were very few Germans, Americans and Canadians were highly represented in this time, but did not bother us. Our opinion, and who do hochgestochenen expectations, this hotel is a good choice, the central location was very important to us, everything is in a few minutes walk erreichtbar. The nightlife in Sosua is very lively and can had already or other a bit annoying. For telephoning you should an internet cafe, it is substantially cheap as at the hotel. read more

We visited the hotel in December for about 2 weeks and again in January for 5 nights. The Persnoal is very friendly and small problems were immediately cleared. The hotel area was large, clean and friendly. The pool areas are nice and clean with enough sun loungers. The view over the cliffs to the ocean was fantastic, especially when the sun sets. The new Sosua beach, also directly bordered to the hotel is very nice. The entertainment was not too annoying and the evening shows are quite professional. But for me personally, the activities were rather no matter. The food ..., especially in the mornings and afternoons, repeated my opinion too often. The evening buffets were a bit more varied. There are 3 more but a la carte restaurants. In December you had to stand in line for the drinks in the disco pay in January, they were inclusive. Whoever wants to experience more action in is a three-minute walk to the center of Sosua. I have to say, from a 3 -star hotel cannot be expected. If you want cheap vacation, had to accept compromises. I will probably stay there again. read more

Meets the requirements of a 3 star resorts. If you are looking for more then you have to invest in a higher category. We have stayed several times at this resort, but never more than 5 nights. Sosua is an ideal base for a few days of party, but two to three weeks could have been a bit dull. read more

N.b. the difference between Marina Reef and Marina Beach. Had a look at the room of a friend of mine who was staying in Beach. View of a plain courtyard and who knows how many steps up to the room. We were in Reef twice for three days, each time we had a view of the pool and never far to go to the room. That's why you should book Reef. Thanks to its connection with the beach (it's practically a complex), I would see the size of the resort as a plus. Sometimes we chose to drink in ... one beach-bar, sometimes the other. read more
