our room lag in the adjoining building, had older, but practical Decor and had a sufficient size. the bathroom made also an older, but acceptable impression. The nice front desk is told us, that, due to at short notice Booking only rooms in the neighboring house freely would be. the rooms in the main building are comfortable.

the buffet in the evening offered typical Icelandic kitchen in a smaller selection. the quality was very good, the price unfortunately a bit high for the limited offer. nevertheless was the ambiance in the restaurant very friendly (see service). the breakfast also offered enough food, was however also not particularly plentiful.

Already during the check in we were despite very at short notice Booking very friendly and in running English. You gave us the buffet in the evening. The same staff led us in the restaurant very attentive and caring by the dishes, asked for our past experiences on Iceland. altogether I have to the service especially good stress! in this hotel there is not the typical anonymous cool the larger hotels, but it is almost informal at the guests cared!

the hotel, consisting of main and neighboring building, is located on the other Fjordseite from Akureyri next to a farm. It has a private restaurant. altogether everything is rustic comfortably furnished! We booked it spur of the moment 30 minutes before our arrival on a Internet platform, nevertheless everything worked super easy!

the hotel lies on the ring road across the Fjordseite from Akureyri. Akureyri is about 15 minutes' drive away. close to the hotel are apart from that no shops and no dining options to be found. The countryside and the view of the fjord are nice.
