Stay in the voyager beach resort was a big disappointment to us. We had booked, because we because of the outstanding review here at trip advisor were convinced, that it is a great -hotel should be. Afterwards we can the many positive reviews not explain. One asks oneself, whether the 5 stars -reviews really all 'really' are, because if you have open eyes through the rooms and the resort is, you can so convinced not be. We have altogether five (!) Room different categories show, because we with our original booked room (superior sea view cabin) completely unsatisfied were. Unfortunately ... turned out, that all us shown room old and run-down were. We asked explicitly renovated rooms, but this does not seem to give it, because all us shown room old, dirty bathroom (see the pictures!) Have.
In particular:
Room:
As mentioned, the rooms are old and really needs some redecorating. The bed sheet, the curtains-everything had holes or disgusting stains (comparison pictures). The room safe costs extra (circa 2 € per day) - despite all inclusive.
The bathroom was old, rather filthy and had broken, wacklige mountings. See the pictures, they speak for themselves. The water, the came from, was very salty, you can enjoy almost no difference to the sea water. To drink is it anyway. The extra charge for a sea view room we could ourselves have saved-one saw on the ground floor especially garden, just a small strip sea.
Food:
The choice is altogether rich, the quality the food (compared to other departments in Tanzania/Kenya) but average at best. Caution, the beverages come mostly (probably because of the extremely saliferous tap water) in smeared glasses. Especially unpleasant with the wine, the furthermore not from bottles, but from ugly plastikbeuteln in the glasses filled.
Heavy minus the water in bottles is despite all inclusive subject to a charge (1,80 Euro per 1 liter). Tip: the room boy some tip and ask him, a few bottles more into the room -worked well.
The staff are altogether quite friendly (with a few exceptions!). In other installations in the region the staff is but clearly nice. One must however to prepare, that orders for beverages as good as never really be performed - especially if you more than just a drink ordered.
Other:
The complex is altogether ok. There are three pools, what a good is suitable for swimming. The beach is however very small and barely usable. The snorkeling excursion from the hotel really pleased us (even if you little looks, because the staff fats brotstücke into the water raises and short time cloudy is, that the many fish hardly can see).
Negative wi-fi/ wifi is subject to a charge. Tip: you can also without ticket to the internet, if you the password (in other guests ask) enters.
The entertainment evening shows are too many very worth seeing! You can tell, that the troop fun with their job.
In short:
The good reviews leave unfortunately too much expect, and there are in the region clearly better installations. But if you are there and with the shortcomings put, can one it bear. read more

Very nice hotel with great activities (boats, kayak rentals and so on). The hotel room was large and had a very nice sea view. There was a lot of value for cleanliness put, in other words handrub before entering of the restaurant, what we found was a good thing. The food was varied and very good prepared. The hotel was also visited by many locals, what us land and people a bit further brought. The evening entertainment was very diverse and entertaining. What we didn't like was the door locks to our room, it was very worn and worked so ... not always. You should the door not from the inside with the key locked, as then not more from the room comes. The comment from the reception, if you into the room old, you could also again, i did not help, so i three-quarters hour in the room included was. The hotel staff was not a soul to see, so that the own husband from the room 'gerettet' had to be, the castle from the outside with the under the door durchgeschobenen key had to open. It should be someone new saddow effort! read more

The idea the hotel as a kind of ship to is managed, every day another slogan and a other port of call; ( for example mexican day/ Cancun). The kindness and warmth of the staff ( no matter wether gardener or manager) is outstanding. The rooms are a little dated, however going to be renovated, nevertheless everything is clean. The selection of dishes is massive, even for vegetarians there is a large choice. Furthermore, there was a pasta corner and 2 cooking stations with meat or fish. Even if you leave early must there for breakfast the entire selection. Only ... drawback is, the hotel, as well as the bookshop is completely English made for. Great complex with lots of possibilities. Clean and friendly.
By securities 24 hours everywhere on the complex also feeling of security.
We were first of all for pure relaxation than bathing-and would do it again ( next time but rather than erholungsanschluss a safari)-a eintagessafari enough but also for a brief first access to information.
My expectations - especially for kenyan standard were fully fulfilled!
Cruise/ schiffskonzept is completely to detail solid-very personable!

Rooms and the furniture was rather poor, however there are also more expensive room, the better equipped.
The complex is somewhat older but very well maintained, that you from the rooms can't say.
Staff are very friendly, complaints are taken friendly, however definitely not processed.
- buffet, meals are sharpened, very varied. Have in a all inclusive department still not better.
- who the complex also want to leave, must bear in mind, that outside from Mombassa is, thus only with the taxi to reach.
Safe costs circa 2 Euro per day.
- internet ( Wi-Fi) is only in the ... front desk available, 3 hours costs circa 5 Euro. What already usury is, otherwise is the linking quality very bad, net fall out.
- if you have a beach vacation (3 different pools, Whirlpool and slide however broken) in a beautiful club complex with great food and good entertainment want to do, you are here in very good hands. Mombassa himself we can't recommend, since very dangerous ( Bombenatentate, thieves, very pushy salesmen, touts and beggars ). read more

We spent 3 wonderful weeks in the Voyager beach hotel at excellent food and excellent service. The hotel is older, but well kept. We had a beautiful standard-plus-double room, the simply, but very clean was. The staff are very accommodating and helpful and, always a smile on the lips. Also with sunbeds and -umbrellas we had not problems, these are sufficiently available.
The hotel has a excellent value for money and is the best at this beach section.
We would definitely come again!

Beautiful, a bit dated beach hotel. Hotel is wonderful decorated, everything is open and plants grow round.
Rooms are being updated. Condition in our room was clean but a bit shabby. Hotel safe is in the room available, there are but only against rental( 2 euros p. T). Air conditioning and mosquito nets are available. Water to brush your teeth will every day bottled available provided. Apart from that but only served in glasses.
Food was always delicious. The hotel is like a ship opened. Means the food was every evening a other. For example Hawaii, Mexico, and so on ... also decoration and waiter are always adjusted. Once the week there was barbecue. A Italian restaurant can all inclusive available free of charge, but before at the front desk be announced. Also a beautiful Meeresspezialitätenrestaurant is available, must however with 50% of all inclusive zugezahlt will.
Beach chairs pool and beach with cushions available. Chairs on the beach is however wG tides and beachboys only limited possible. There is a great relax pool directly at the beach.
Animation is during the day decent. Evenings there is band, Musicals and so on read more

We were 6 weeks in this hotel and it was just awful! Fits neither the organization the value for money or anything else. Food geschmackslos, complex outdated, no sun screens, too few Couches and the rooms moldy. Next door at the beach there is by far better and cheaper hotels. We are about jumbo travel on false promises of Hrn. Belium hergelockt have been. The Mr. H. With us good everything was other he was no matter. He gave us a recently renovated hotel advertised and reticent in welch' Monika this hotel is. This Mr believe I never something. read more

First time to Kenya, and wouldn't have changed a thing! First thoughts on arrival at Voyager, pictures do not do this place justice! It's a beautiful resort. The bathroom in our room was a little dated, but who goes to Kenya to stay in their hotel room!?
The pools were lovely, the food was amazing! Lots of opportunity to try crocodile! My partner is allergic to nuts, and we always find this a problem when travelling abroad, but the staff at Voyager knew exactly what he meant, and knew off the top of their heads the ingredients in every dish. ...
The staff are the friendliest people I've ever come across, and are so happy to be helping all guests. Kenyan people really make the holiday! (and I never thought I'd be saying that!)
The beach is BEAUTIFUL! White sands, beach boys are a lot of fun, and very friendly! The first time we went I felt awful because everyone wants you to buy something from them, but once they get to know you they're just really chatty.
We went on a 4 day safari with JT Safaris (for which I will write a separate review), and would recommend to anyone!
The animation team are really good, always laughing and joking with each other and guests, and also are amazing dancers!
I'm afraid of the sea, so I didn't take advantage of the all inclusive water sports, but the facilities were very good.
For us, two weeks wasn't enough, next time we will definitely be staying longer!

Our last stay at the Voyager beach was Christmas year 2011/12 ( in November 2012 flies we again), this was the seventh stay in this complex, together we were about 20 times in Kenya, always on the north coast in different hotels and never had some problem. The Voyager beach is a very nice hotel, originally from 2 hotels in summary, therefore, the 3 pools and extensive dreamlike garden with over 500 palm trees and tropical plants. The rooms were so far always very clean. The food in buffet form is varied and tastes very good. Also the two other ... restaurant: Italian and smugglers cove (a/la carte 50% discount for all inclusive guests) are recommendable. The white beach will sometimes due to low tide and high tide with seaweed awash, but from the Hotelgärtnern removed. There is enough chairs in large garden and at the pools. At the animation pool is kids' program. The staff at the hotel is very accommodating and tried, the wishes the hotel guests to fulfill. However go in Afrika the clocks something slow and the hectic Europeans should get used to it or just somewhere else. We have now already friends carried forward, who have never long-haul journeys did, they were so thrilled by Kenya, that you again fly along and more friends along.
I have the individual reviews below read and must become the' insufficient' to say something: Kenya is located in Afrika! If you are looking for a standard at home expected is in the wrong place. The people in Kenya is friendly, helpful and always in a good mood. No matter wether on safari or in Mombasa on the way is. We will again and again to Mombasa flies and a great vacation spend, who more to know would like to, could always report. read more

Nice hotel area with spacious gardens and sunbed areas. three different pool areas (fun, relax, pool). Activity staff friendly but not intrusive. Different entertainment (aerobics, darts, water polo, and V. M.) staff very friendly and helpful; food and international menus. Direct access to the beach, different water sport possibilities, partly also free to use (surfing, canoe, Katamoran). Our room was very spacious with tv and fridge, air conditioning and ceiling fan. Standard rooms have less amenities. Bed sheets are changed daily. Laundry service worked perfectly. Shower gel was always filled, towels were changed every day. For families with small ... kinders unfortunately no baby pool. Will this hotel for our next Kenya holiday again. read more

Food was very good, staff very good overall. Condition of the hotel (room 4212) very tired and run down. Management ignorant to the guest. Broken fridge after a week changed, safe during the whole holiday broken (low battery but two euro per day rent!!!), double charged the restaurant (staff to monitor> tends to fraud!! witnesses it therefor!!!) Insektenbeseitigung poor in the room even after separate invitation. Tiles broken, bathroom door-frame was starting to rot before itself, repair noise during the last four days in building four> management ignored complaints about noise. Pools were very good, pool hand towel procedure very ... bad. Service for drinks at the pool irregular in all inclusive. Conclusion: I will only stay if renovated and improvements to the service, otherwise rather not. Why should I bother me unnecessary, finally, I paid for perfect service. read more

On the whole, our expectations were met at the hotel. Our first stay in Kenya and at the last minute, as is right
The price-performance ratio. The staff are very friendly, but we had the impression, that for a little tip the friendliness increases. Mainly English guests, really very nice, interesting people. The beach is great, but of course you will strongly encouraged to buy. A little nervt, but the hotel is adjacent to the beach, you can also the pool from the beach and the ocean. The best we enjoyed the Welcoming guests, in the " master " all ... hotel staff presented and. That was a nice party. The location of the hotel is great. We would stay at this hotel again. read more

Since we were already for the fourth time Kenya visit, we would like to recommend the hotel, although there are certainly worse alternatives. The area itself was very nice, the rooms are very disappointing, as there was on, daßass not been made. Moreover, this also rather small to see.
The staff is not unfriendly, but a bit more attention to certain things and sometimes a smile would provide a better atmosphere.
You can easily find the hotel, but like I said, we had already considerably better. read more

We were very disappointed with the condition of the room and the hotel. The bathroom was a disgrace, furniture 20 years old and the build a nightmare. The staff was with few exceptions hardly motivated and didn't try. The Al inclusive " " was the cheapest scrapped. But we made the best of it! read more
