Hotel Carlton^{(3 stars)}

This hotel we can recommend to all the for a couple of days in San Francisco would like to remain. The location is great, the sightseeing spots are easy to reach on foot. The rooms are tastefully decorated and above all clean! On my next visit to SFO, I would this hotel definitely book it again! read more

The second time we have stayed at Hotel Carlton. We are very satisfied and would go back a third time. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The room was a little small, but clean and tidy. Food we were not in the restaurant, but it was in the evening always full. In the hotel there was always of 17,30-18:00 complimentary wine, a tip would be nice. We stayed five days in San Francisco and yet we still have not seen it all. In San Francisco, you have to have been in. The people were very friendly. read more

We stayed for two nights in hotel Carlton and felt very comfortable there. A very positive surprise was the friendly front desk at check-in in German! This was the only time, that foreign language skills of the reception staff weeks have witnessed during our trip (in the USA Yes not a matter of urgent necessity is, but still pleasantly noticeable). The check-in, as well as Checlout went off without a hitch. The parking is-as in San Francisco-very high. But it is still urgently, to ensure that car store (not on the uncovered car park opposite the hotel, but by valet ... parking service via), since about four blocks to the south (from Ellis and Howard St. and city hall and hallidie Plaza in the soma, district) a run down area with a high crime and poverty begins. The Sutter St. is perfectly safe, even at night! Our corner room on the sixth floor was very tastefully and individually furnished and had a small walk-in closet with safe. The view from the room was really great. Not so great was the breakfast, or the breakfast service in the hotel's restaurant and coffee shop. In the oriental style restaurant run by two 'hobby-waitresses', which, together with the cook-the slowness of its work on the principle have raised. At least we have on a toasted bagel with jam and orange juice rich waited 35 minutes.! As also helps with the coffee refill anything. As in the area there were a wide variety of restaurants and cafe's, where you can eat cheap and good, you should rather look for alternatives outside of the hotel (which we did). Transportation (cable car & bus) is really good, as you don't have to walk more than three blocks. All in all we had a very pleasant stay. read more

We stayed for three Übernachutngen at the Carlton building. The hotel is really not far away from the city of San Francisco. We are about 10 minute walk into the center of town. The hotel is a real city hotel, no special tools, rooms are simply furnished. But all in all fine for a few days. The rooms are a bit noisy and you can hear at night but one or the other ambulance. Hospital is right around the corner. The people at the reception were all very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended is the city sightseeing tour for foreigners ... (also in German). Breakfast is okay (were once breakfast). Still water for drinking there is not free in the hallways. Otherwise are supermarkets or walgreens (drug store and supermarket in). Parking is rather rare. But in San Francisco you need no car, to all destinations are the cable car distance (6 $per person per ride). But it is a must for everybody. We loved it here! read more

We booked the Carlton for a short stay. The front desk was very welcoming and the staff spoke even a little German. The Carlton is relatively central and one can, if one could walk well, everything. The rooms are functional, clean, have a walk-in closet with safe, a small bathroom and a balcony. In the evening there is always a free wine tasting, very pleasant and helpful atmosphere read more

The front desk was very friendly. My friend was at the time with crutches and we immediately got a room on the ground floor with two bathrooms (one of them was handicapped accessible) get. The equipment was completely good. We tried once the breakfast in the hotel. Was not so outstanding, but not bad. In the vicinity of the hotel there are many possibilities a good breakfast. On the whole, I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel read more
