Is a hotel, which from the outside actually okay appears, not too big and not too small. I think 8 floors. The condition is in an old and in need of renovation condition. The lobby, (with two correspondents, were apparently at the same time another hotel or property) resembles a receiving office for refugees, asylum-seekers and so on since would you love already again go.
Lift doors were not immediately to see, since the doors as old, colored planks of wood looked.

We were friendly in the hotel welcome, it was all prepared and the check in took only a couple of minutes. there are two lifts, with a the whole time was broken, but Oh Well... there was still a second. our room was completely fine... we were right by a beautiful Chlorine smell welcomes ;), thus disinfected it was in any case. in general it is for a city break completely fine, you're only for sleeping in the room and enjoy the city. read more

We stayed a week at the Latham hotel in NYC. The hotel is suitable really only to sleep, though you can get.
the rooms are completely white with white linoleum and a fluorescent lamp on the ceiling, in short: uncomfortable it is hardly (and that was the pictures on the internet not shown). Not to mention the view from the window -unless, you will find the wall of the neighboring house in 40 centimeter distance great. The bathroom with the tub (as extra you could rent) was very small and seemed quite worn out.
the rooms are equipped with a ... air conditioning, the one at the days by, if you aren't there, since the noise very annoying is.
the furnishing is rather Spartan, the double size bed one can also save (reminded us of a hospital bed from the three ziger). Unfortunately found several hairs of' previous tenants' on the sheets, which disgusting was. The mandatory cockroach also long wait.
all together the hotel is very dark and shabby. You need to take into consideration the location but. You are really in the heart of life. To time Square it is about 15 minutes on foot, a deli around the corner (CAFE 28) invites you to eat- around the hour. read more

The hotel was as we had imagined-cheap with excellent location, would be the last evening the rat in our room former (7. Floor!), it would have been sufficient for our requirements.
To compensate, we have a night not to pay. read more

For a city break we would recommend staying at this hotel. It was absolutely appropriate. The staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms are ok in terms of size, as you didn't sit in the room all day. The bed was the first thing we checked on arrival, we had large fear bed bugs: ) But we were not angeknabbert. Fortunately, there were no were so there. We were able to open the window in the bathroom, I don't like it, if you don't fresh air. The bathroom was small, it was totally enough. There were hand towels and beach ... towels changed daily and clean. The elevator worked only when we arrived at night, then the whole week not more, but that did not matter so much that the freight elevator of the hotel was used - you had to ring a bell and you were picked up on the floor and drove up and down. We were on the top floor on the 13th (PH) floor, it is probably the floor where the single parents Mamas again. Unfortunately, that was in the middle of the night sometimes a little noisy as the phone herumgeturnt (the word fuck-was very often hear it; -)) but really annoying I found that's not, by our long walks I was broken, so that I slept in The best thing is the location of the hotel, right in the middle of everything. The Empire State Building is a 5 -minute walk to, the Flatiron Building in 3 minutes and distance to Time Square only about 15 mins walk. The Subwaystation is about a 2 minute walk away. Everything was right nearby. I'd suggest the cafe for breakfast 28 - right on the corner. The breakfast is great - you get a large coffee and much more. Have fun in New York we wish you. It is definitely worth a visit. read more

For a few days at the hotel New York is highly recommended. The location is excellent, about 5 minutes walk from the Empire State Building and the Flatiron Building. Metro stations are also several around the corner. The hotel is clean and tidy and the staff friendly and helpful. As we had booked without catering, we went for breakfast in the surrounding areas in the local cafes and bistros. No problem at all. read more

The hotel is very centrally located. about 5 minutes to the Empire State Building, 15 -20 minutes to Time Square. Just around the corner is the Café 28, where you can sit for breakfast and shopping. The check-in was very smooth, the staff (especially at the front desk) is very rude. The bathroom is small, but it was enough, sometimes it is difficult as it is often occupied. The rooms are with, air-conditioning, sink, towels, tv, dresser, is more than enough for a few days, as you need the room except to sleep. The room I would definately not stay ... here again. read more

Basic hotel in a great location. In 3-4 minutes walk to the Empire State Building, or the Flatiron BIULDING on the Fifth Ave. 2 Minutes to the nearest Metro (subway station). The rooms are quite small and sparse: double bed, TV, air-conditioning, sink, chest of drawers, wardrobe. We took a room without an ensuite bathroom (which means shared bathroom). Those who needed luxury this is not the place. The bathrooms were very spacious, could be cleaner(I have been to New York experienced better). Plus they were very very often occupied, so you had to watch the floors including or above ... the bathroom was available. Per floor only one bathroom, which is very little. We stayed in the 3 Floor and had to until eight high where we found a free bathroom. The hotel is a refuge in the upper floors. But it didn't bother us in the least. The hotel offers only night no breakfast. Good breakfast in the cafe 28 (28st corner of 5th Ave) at the gourmet deli. Good and cheap-everything the heart could desire. If you only a cheap place to crash and not looking to spend was well cared for here. Alternatively, I could recommend the hotel 31. As the bathrooms a little better. But otherwise different hotels. Both are almost next to each other. Oh yes before I'll forget it. This is a non-smoking hotel, like most hotels in New York. As a tip, I have added East/West and Greenwich Village to anyone. Who wants to know the really NYC life should be properly time for these parts in Lower Manhattan. read more

The hotel is a typical New York apartment building. Accordingly, there are a front desk for the hotel and I also a pretty standard front desk for residents/tenant this house. The lift has to be so out of hours the hotel's lifts, also with normal New Yorkers are shared, which we did not matter found. read more

The hotel is simply decorated. There are 12 floors. At each floor level there is a "public bathroom with toilet and shower. When we were there, were all the framework of doors and passages recently painted, and the bathroom was modern and clean. Wheelchair accessible would be the hotel itself not bad, as there is a normal operated roller blinds lift and one where such a Elevator boy served. Corridors are wide enough, the bathroom is definitely on our floor (9 ) very large, so as easily fit in a wheelchair, and the rooms were a little small and cramped ..., but it would go. During our Aufzugfahrten, we met mostly families with small children, strollers, partly older and partly younger couples. So everything was represented. The hotel offers only no possibility, so this is a mini minor inconvenience. In the way of daily cleaned, we weren't entirely satisfied. The carpet in the room did not look like it be vacuumed. Whether he time vaccumed, can we can't comment on, we didn't from the maintenance staff: ) As we only used it to sleep got into the room and it was that we didn't matter too much as the beds were clean and no stains or hair from the previous guest. read more

The hotel is very basic and the bathroom was across the hall, a shared bathroom for about 8 people. Despite the or shared bathrooms with the bathroom was always clean and everything was always like the shampoo and soap were available. We had a double room with sink, so that one could still good ready when it traffic in the bath. The only downside to the hotel was the old heaters, the partly shrill whistles. But we were out all day so it didn't bother us and we still get falling asleep. The hotel is for people who want to ... see much of the city absolutely perfect because it is just around the corner from the Empire State Building. Underground station is around the corner and also very good breakfast can be near the hotel! read more

Who demands, in this hotel, we didn't really. The property is simple but clean. The staff was nice. The big bonus, the central location near the 5th Avenue and the nearby subway station. We didn't miss a restaurant, as at the end of the street is a good self-service restaurant "Café 28" (with internet café) is. In summary, we enjoyed our New York-stay and would choose this hotel again. read more
