We were to 4. the edelweiss & gurgle and with the arrival of the staff the front desk friendly welcome, the car was from the house service unloading, the luggages were within a short time in the rooms, as well as the car in the garage. It is now free wi-fi, which in the hauptnutzungszeiten of the guests however somewhat slow work. The guest structure varies depending on the located in the various countries. Middle of february were mostly british and dutch guests with children on the way; but little german tourists. read more

    Since we already some rooms in the hotel knew, we were this time from the size (38 square meter) and location (south) pleased. The room has beside a sofa area (additional bed) with a tiled fireplace with bench, the electric is heated up. The room (number 302 in 3. floor), however, is the the rooms, a renovation regarding the furniture need (significant signs of usage in the very dark wood). Although toilet and bath were separate, was the bathing area a lot too small. There is little counter space in the sink area and the area can get by one person only be used. There the bed directly at the wall to the bad to the other rooms is, with geräuschsbelästigung be expected. The room was cleaned thoroughly!

    The gastronomy has in the last few years constantly improves and is a 4 star hotel adequate. Even in times of full capacity (in our case: winter holidays in gigabyte and krokusferien in nl) was the service quick and competent (thank you very much especially at René'and Barbara). The breakfast buffet left nothing to be desired and is constantly completed.

    The pool- and sauna suffers from unfortunately for years on a lack of relaxation area. There was at the pool a sufficient number of beach chairs, which from about 3:30 p. m. because of the increasing number of mostly young swimmers, only partially to rest can be used. Both the foreign -, as well as the indoor pool has turned during our stay every afternoon in an adventure playground. All pages into the water cracked, so to swim not more to do. The spa (sauna/massage area) is very nice. Very recommendable are the massages when Gabor.

    Very nice decorated and well designed room, the very well cleaned have been and in good condition are. The most rooms have a south-facing balcony. Unfortunately our room relatively badly soundproofed and the bathroom a bit small. Nevertheless, we have us in the room felt good.

    The breakfast buffet was perfect. It was very rich and up to the end of the breakfast time was everything available. The dinner was also delicious and you had the choice of different meals. The hospitality in the conservatory was however rather moderately. There a tea complained, because it was too thin explained the waitress rude why two teaspoon per pot of enough, instead of us immediately a new cooking and tea after request to bring. The was very petty and should not happen.

    Overall a good and mostly friendly waiters, the however not quite without any drawbacks was. It requests were unfortunately often forget or misunderstood. The cleaning of the rooms overall was very good. The bar staff was very friendly. Noticeable was the both for breakfast, as well as during dinner the badly organized restaurant. It was friendly and tried very hard, but lacked coordination between the staff. The german of the staff could be somewhat better. With problems and complaints showed the staff at the hotel but very accomodating and tried very hard to satisfy the guest.

    The staff is great. Very spacious, reserved seats for all the guests and only steps away from gondola and chairlift. Better and practical it hardly goes. The spa is very nice decorated and well equipped. Especially the jacuzzi with a view of the stunning mountain landscape is very nice. More rules or more supervision by staff would be desirable, as the spa partly somewhat messy appears. It is also with all love for children unacceptable for other guests, if parents with their disposable supporting child in the hot tub to go. Here should the hotel for example, by the furnishing a childrens pool or through increased supervision help.

    The location of the hotel is for a ski vacation perfectly, as it is right next to the ski lifts is available. The supermarket, the ski rental, a bank and the bus stop are right next to the hotel located. Despite this central location is it quiet. Couldn't be better!

Very centrally located, clean and in typical austrian style equipped star hotel with good possibilities to recover. Ski slope right on the doorstep, friendly staff, light restrictions on the 'whistle' in the kitchen or of the food. Altogether but a positive meaning good and solid 4 star house. read more

This hotel is everything you should expect from a skiing hotel, everything to hand and the boot room with the ski shop inside the hotel. Directly by the ski lifts and a central location for bars and shops. The food is fantastic, ad the service is, severed with a smile. Only gripes I would have is they allow smoking in the central bar area, which is not nice and quite often we had to move to another area to get out of the smell of the smoke. Also the pool area was full of children, so not so easy to ... relax after a hard days skiing read more

The hotel lies directly at the slopes. We were very satisfied overall. The room is really sweetly furnished, the bathroom relatively small. The spa is monotonous and not nicely furnished. The outdoor pool was very nice, but it is too cold. The service is in general very friendly. German knowledge but not always perfect. Also was missing a real wine connoisseurs, (sommelier picked amarone with the weisswein!). Since we 2. right next to a noisy group and us hardly converse could, we could on the next day the move \u263a In general very recommendable! But we the next year back ... to the alpina. There the rooms are not so nice, however therefor the spa. read more

We spend a week in October with two kids the edelweiss & gurgle hotel. The room was brilliant, the offer for children free in the room the parents was very attractive. There are wonderful wellness facilities, otherwise you can, hiking or simply relax. The weather was sunny & warm even end of October and the view of the mountains very nice. It is quiet and simply nicer in obergurgl, much pleasant as down the valley. The food was excellent, with nice service. The drinks prices, cakes, lunch menu and so on were not expensive. Host all want again next year ... go there. Each season would be there. read more

Altogether the hotel was a total success for our vacation. We are with a dog arrived, it was a pity that it is not in the restaurant was allowed. Complained about opening hours of the spa area was only through the front desk employee fully fixed. ( the TV were also abendzeiten after 20 o'clock for pool and sauna specified, everything closes however at 20 o'clock). That was but also already everything to ' Kritikfähigem '. The employees are all very friendly and always also for a personal word to have. in the dining room we were served in a ... very friendly manner; here we are particularly positive Barbara and Rene in memory. There is evenings a 5-course menu; it is always the walk to the salad buffet ( very plentiful and many salads to the selection => the selection of salad changes rarely ( is however because of the variety was also not necessary). The hotel we can wholeheartedly recommend, since we rarely so recovered from a vacation came! read more

If you are a fan of Tirolean architecture and landscapes, you can't do better than the Edelweiss & Gurgl in Obergurgl. My wife and I went in early September for a walking holiday. Everywhere you look is a photo opportunity and the clean mountain air did us the world of good. The warm honey tones of the wood panelling in the interior of the hotel is also good for the soul. The food was excellent and the friendliness of the staff outstanding. The hotel was very empty at this time of year, making access to the spa facilities very easy. ... Hope to go again. read more
