Comfortable, small hotel right on the fishing harbor of Sassnitz. Quiet yet central location, restaurants, shops and the city center in a few minutes. Next to the hotel a path leads down to the seafront and the port with several museums (for example, a U-boat museum) and other attractions. In the off season is the ideal as a starting point for hikes, the jasmund national park with the chalk starts right at the exit from Sassnitz and is about 30 minutes after. In the summer I would recommend the experience more ruegen-holidays the beach of process, from Sassnitz from binz ... in about ten minutes to reach by car. The hotel itself is nice and comfortably furnished, the breakfast was plentiful and tasty. The lakeside rooms with a great view of the harbor and sea. The hotel has a large lawn for sunbathing, which we of course February couldn't use, but in summer, certainly invites to relax. The hotel Waterkant lives up to its name: It is about 40 meters above the Steilhangs and and has its location great views of the harbor. On a clear day view you could see to Binz and Sellin. A staircase in the immediate vicinity of the hotel in about 70 steps leading directly to the harbor, the beach promenade with numerous ( fish)-restaurants, museums and shopping. The hotel has everything we need for a relaxing holiday. The central location is ideal for getting to by bike, ship or car to explore the island. The rooms are clean, spacious and the ... view from the balcony is spectacular. The sunrise can be seen from the bed. The breakfast buffet is extensive and good, the hostess is very attentive and hurry to want to meet. The afternoon sun can in the small garden in the Hollywood swing. The hotel is very nice, clean and not too big, just right. We stayed at the November, I had my birthday and wanted to look for leave, instead of celebrating, we want it was just good. It is quite centrally located in the city, but very quiet and everything is easily accessible. A bus station is in the proximity, but we were with the car. From here you can nice trips around the island, it was known good. White cliffs (Königsstuhl, stub benk bunting) are not far away, there is also a bus and the restaurants and bars around the ... hotel were we. Restaurants, etc. are close by, everywhere you could eat delicious fish there. There are lovely stores in the vicinity. From the balcony of our room we had a great view of the harbor knowledge, with the sea front lower mole. There you should you walk if the weather is fine, it is quite long, so two or three I believe kilometer and at the end of a lighthouse is. The rooms were big enough, clean and well furnished with safe, mini bar and television. Like many hotel rooms, no surprises, except for the beautiful balcony and the view. The breakfast was good, standard and the breakfast room had a whole wall overlooking a small garden and the sea, was great. The staff was nice and decent in the background, little pushy, but a bit more attention, I would have liked to see maybe. The hotel has a swimming pool, but it was not so important November. Other sport and leisure facilities at the hotel were not noticed, but we wanted also rather hiking and explore the area. A few parking facilities are available next to the hotel, but will not suffice, if all rooms are occupied, I think. read more
