The hotel is relatively big, feels at the individual floors however not so, but you feel in good hands. The whole hotel makes a clean impression, breakfast immaculate, friendliness of all employees super, wlan unfortunately only against expensive fee. It is not anymore! The guest structure is international and the age well mixed. read more

    We had a standard double room at the back of the hotel (to the street). Noise was (in the winter) no issue. The size of the room was excellent, the furnishing new. The bathroom was quite nice, the shower responsive but with strong fluctuations in temperature to users in the neighboring rooms.

    There is in principle two restaurants, but was during our stay only one open, the we however not used. The 2. had a half year a michelinstern and shortly thereafter concluded from unknown reasons. The bar was excellent: cocktails good, relatively quick service. For breakfast we had a very friendly service, the choice was excellent, the clearing away worked poor.

    After dispatch the reservation online we received no acknowledgement. Two calls led to the information, that no reservation had received this. This wickelten we then call from. On arrival expected us 2 bottles of mineral water. The staff is without exception friendly, the cleaning of the rooms likewise, clean and fast. In the evening there was a very friendly turndown service and chocolates. The bathroom door was not closed. Husband could only from the inside cordoning off, from the outside you had to open, which from geruchsgründen not ideal. This complaint immediately after arrival does not lead to a rectification during our stay. (we had two nights). Wireless internet only an expensive provider, this is nowadays no longer standard.

    The hotel is located between downtown and jetties near miniature wonderland. You is on foot in good 10 minutes to the Rathaus. Nearby there is kaffeshops, newspaper shop and a supermarket. S-Bahn and underground right on the doorstep, taxi rank in front of the entrance.

We have a short trip in Steigenberger Hotel made and the stay Enjoyed. But unfortunately also again heruasgestellt, in the very good Hotels the staff's hospitality to be desired leaves. Partly at the front desk, a/two women the breakfast service and the breakfast chef Needs here times a training get. * room was great, nice and big and music in the bathroom, * the sauna was unfortunately closed = renovation - great but that one as an alternative the Sofitel-hotel in the neighborhood could use. * breakfast/selection : delicious - should but also for the price from 28 €per person read more

Recommendable hotel for business trips with fair price-performance ratio. The inventory is although already somewhat older but so not bad or in poor condition. Very friendly staff, good dinner, and breakfast in the restaurant and friendly and helpful staff. Would go back and the private. Location close to subway and central! read more

The hotel was reasonable, however in my opinion no 5 stars. You weren't on emerging costs realized, got a wrong bill and in the room it was not created toiletries to fill up. Conclusion : the next visit in Hamburg is not in the Steigenberger his. read more

A very nice hotel, which is very good and good access to u-bahn & S-Bahn has. Lots of things ( alster, jetties, Rathaus) are also more than reachable on foot. The staff were exceedingly friendly and we would like to especially mention. Renovated must be safe everywhere, a shame that we during our visit to the spa and the restaurant gourfleets could not visit, although it was everywhere in the house advertised? The feather dusters should once again the ceiling and the curtains the washing machine see, otherwise the room was clean and spacious. The quality of the dishes for ... breakfast and bistro was very good and also the staff exceedingly friendly. This is the second cold night i am spending in my room in this hotel. The heating doesn't work and there is no extra heater available for me in the hotel. The first night i could't sleep because of the cold temperature and asked for to extra heater, and i received some blankets with the promise of the fixing up of the air conditionning and extra heater. Unfortunatelly this evening, went i came back to my room, nobody informed me about the inconvenience of the wooden floors and the extra heater was still not available for me tonight. This is ... not the child of service i expect from this child of hotel. read more

I was now for the 3. time this year in this hotel and come would gladly come again. If i had to complain about, then already at a high level. It is unfortunately again the reception, cordial is different and as a 'regular' (see above) i would simply be as such to be addressed. A short entry in the accounts can actually be so difficult?! The Steigenberger Hamburg is located with the best location, right at the waterfront and one is immediately in the middle of everything. The town hall square is in about 10 minutes walk, a subway-station is 200 meters away. A swimming pool is in the hotel not available, however a fairly generous spa area with various spa treatments. The hotel is beautiful and refined decor, the entrance hall nicely decorated (we stayed in the holiday season there). The standard double rooms are in my opinion but not the case high prices just. The bathroom is rather small, furthermore very plain, one ... doesn't feel as in a '5-star service'. Our room only had a bath tub, the also for showering had to be used. The rooms have no balcony and due to the location directly at a surface subway-way you can because of the volume the windows actually only always closed. The beds are very comfortable. The hygiene is with drawbacks (for example directly upon arrival we found a hair in the bathtub) good. In the afternoon the room through a 2. the maid service again 'refreshed '. The breakfast buffet in a pleasant atmosphere with a view of the water restaurant. The selection is good, however i found it for a 5 star hotel unworthy and disappointing, that you only ready-to-bake breads offered. The bread selection was also not outstanding. Well, i think, that marmelade and honey not in individual plastic packing are offered, but in prozellanbehältnissen to 'self-siphon'. The service is good as very to evaluate. All of the staff were friendly and accommodating. We were there on the early lunch arrived, why our room not yet available stood (hotel was at the vortag fully booked). You noticed my mobile phone and gave us a route for a walk. Before we provided, we were also already informed, that the room now available and our gepäcl waited then already there for us. The offered gastronomy in the evening tasted excellent, but of course, you also pay a proud price. Overall the hotel is on a recommendable pigeonhole, in my opinion however ultimately too expensive for the offered. Than 'luxury hotel', as the Steigenberger Hamburg defined, i didn't notice them. read more

Of the location and the friendliness of the staff, as i a Steigenberger Hotel thought and it knows. We were disappointed by the rooms which the size and the location, directly at the u-bahn. From the book the breakfast, the price of 28 €prom. , i can only urge you not to anyone. This price is absolutely not justified. Apart from that, the hotel is ok, except for the value for money. read more

The hotel is ideally located, one of the most beautiful areas of hamburg are optimal. The service is perfect, the furnishings corresponded to the typical 5-star standard. If you are even however '5-stars superior-hotel' called, should the rooms in shorter intervals once renovate. While I chipped corners on bed and scratched furniture didn't bother us, but in a five star hotel this should not be the standard are. read more

    Room relatively small, furniture partly a renovation needy. Air conditioning, tv, minibar and safety deposit box (included in the price) available, wi-fi, but you have to pay. Bathroom and toilet very small. Water from the sink drained very slowly, the bathroom door closed not correctly, the bathroom 'stinking '. Three times was to ask for relief, three times nothing happened.

Unfortunately i no longer give it!. For a 5 star hotel i have better expected and we were very dissapointed! Here my complaints and problems: Room outdated, of which the bathroom in bad condition - everywhere lime-at each fittings - the door to the bathroom was yet times correctly installed, a at least two centimeter Schlitz in between and a bit tattered! Now to the bar, the feeling one i now wartehallen moderate, so was not! And furthermore far from enough places in the size of the hotel! I would have liked a bit more choice in rückbüfett desired, only ... standard! And now for breakfast, the food was really lala, but not in a good sense! If sometime around ten the butter iced water swimming. It would be time to change! The salmon, was for six was chilled, nevertheless open. And apart from that it is a standard breakfast, like everywhere! I am a four star superior, may be that i am a bit more critical, but 5 * since your not worth it - it is reasonable value for money simply not. In short is luxury, it was not, it is reminiscent of a middle-class business hotel! read more

The hotel is simply superb. Very friendly staff in every area. Very willing to help and courteous. Breakfast is just very delicious and very varied. Location is excellent. Everything is very easily reachable on foot. Restaurants, port, shopping etc. If too tired to walk, then everything is in one to two S-Bahn and subway connection to reach. S-as well as subway in one minute reachable. The hotel is can only be recommended! The Steigenberger is worth the money! read more
