Good hotel in excellent location. Exactly in the middle between the three metro stations Sol, opera and Callao. All major points in the city centre are within 10 to 15 minutes to reach. read more

The hotel is clean and well-kept with good value for money and is very centrally located. The grand via isn't far however also not so close, that the traffic noise heard. With the space in front of the hotel there is the hotel rather peacefully located. read more

The hotel is as a base for a city break perfect suitable. Above all the location in the middle of the downtown area makes the hotel an ideal choice. It is surrounded by three underground stations, but also to many places of interest are within walking distance. There were also some shopping possibilities in the immediate vicinity. read more

The hotel would recommend on each case. It is located in the middle of the old town and walking distance to everything is easy to reach. The hotel itself has class and quiet and you feel like you are in the old ruins thoroughly comfortable. The breakfast buffet is incredible. Everything is fresh (also the orange juice) and appetizing to look at. The service you get washed eggs on, in any form, freshly delivered. For a trip to the city a wonderful base from which to explore. Always again with great pleasure! read more

The hotel is centrally located in a quiet street in the old town and about Madrid. To foot one can reach all major attractions. Metro stations are to foot in about five minutes to reach. A wide choice of restaurants and bars are in the immediate vicinity. Our room (115) including the bathroom was very spacious and very clean and attractively decorated. The breakfast was for Southern standards, very varied. The breakfast room is located on the six floor with a view over the old town. We can recommend the hotel to 100%. read more

The Grantur Palacio San Martin is a medium sized hotel in the heart of the old town of Madrid. somewhat conservative style Spanish, a little modern, spotlessly clean. If it is stifling hot outside (we were in July and only recommendable - Under stable conditions cardio machines), as it was an experience to sit in the lobby, which is on the covered patio is air-conditioned and of course. The breakfast buffet is the class adequate with plenty to do for everyone; you can also take a champagne breakfast with smoked salmon. It had to be paid extra, but 11,- ... Euro are adequate. If in this house is "Intertnationalem audience" to speak, this is meant positively. read more

Nice facade, the inside is classic and looked very pleasant and not pushy. Well-attended hotel, without being crowded, well mixed public, but rather couples (at least when we were there). It made on us his clean, neat impression. 4 Stars are rightly appropriate. Lovely little designed lobby with a bar and a small internet corner. Sauna, exercise area in the 5 . top floor (which we didn't use). read more

Great city hotel in great central (Plaza St. Martin - 5 minute walk to Plaza Mayor) but still very quiet. Lovely old building, nicely updated. Room decor classic but not old-fashioned. Nice daylight bath. We got to a room to the square, which was very nice. Facing the courtyard, but it would be even more quiet without nice view. We didn't have breakfast there, I looked at me and looked to be nice (€11 ). Breakfast room on the 6th floor. Floor, with a nice view of the river and the city. read more

The hotel is very centrally located. It is only a short walk to the attractions. Despite the central location at night you could even sleeping with the windows open. Please note: there are rooms to the outside, and to a patio. The patio you no fresh air and also echo it up. The courtyard is covered and downstairs is the bar and some tables. There are guests, isn't noisy. Tip: better but the rooms facing the street. Highly recommended is also a nearby bar and restaurant. There is really cozy, great atmosphere - very good beer and cider. You also ... get to every drink really great tapas. time freshly grilled fish, ham, something casserole. Really good. The restaurant is called El Escarpin and is in the street, the from the pedestrian area leads to the hotel. Also highly recommended: visit one of the flamenco shows. Good food, good dancers - not be put off from the price. The shows are well worth the money. read more

The hotel is located on a small square, is close to the pedestrian zone, the Kunstmeile and the nightlife and is still very quiet location, as it is no major thoroughfare in the immediate vicinity. Even for the taxi driver was getting not easy to find. The old town is an easy walk to conquer. We enjoyed the buffet breakfast not because it is just around the corner enough possibilities. read more

Nice, clean hotel in a nice madrilenian house. Good condition, large, well appointed room with air-conditioning, flat screen TVs, in-room safe. Location was very good: 5 minutes to the metro Opera, 5 minutes to the Metro Sol, 2 minutes. The metro Callao. In the middle of the old town but still manages to be peaceful and quiet location near the not busy Plaza San Martin. Excellent breakfast on the 6th floor. Floor of the hotel with a view over the city. Staff are friendly and competent. Overall many small restaurants and bars. Pleasant neighborhood. From the airport hotel is perfectly ... with the metro (1.40 Euro, two transfers, but it was not problem) read more

The Palacio San Martin is within walking distance - about 3 minutes - both to the Gran Via and Plaza Mayor. You will find only rarely a city hotel in this location and yet very very quiet!! Most of Our rooms face the courtyard and in the summer you certainly dependent on air conditioning, the "quiet" location could be a downside with regard to fresh air... The breakfast buffet is not cheap, but has all treats of fruit, cereals, meats and cheeses, eggs etc. We felt very comfortable here and we will definitely book this hotel again. read more

The hotel is fantastic in every highly recommended. Only a few minutes to get to the pedestrian area, restaurants and bars in walking distance. The rooms are clean and quiet. In the summer but could be annoying that (some) windows to the courtyard and not to open. Breakfast is very good and offers of fruits to egg dishes and juices pretty much everything. Would love to make a return visit! read more
