There were some mediocre shopping options near the hotel. Firstly, we were very surprised by the location. The hotel is located in a rather uncertain neighborhood, so that any out activities is dependant on the taxi.
The room had sheets from the previous guest because of our late arrival and was not in a position to change this.
The room is equipped with a tv and Wi-Fi Internet access but very small.
All in all, it did not correspond to a specified standard and we can not be recommended. read more

For a beach holiday by nearby Salvador (Morro de Sao Paulo) we were a night in Salvador, in order to get to know a bit of the city.
The hotel is an old, well renovated townhouse, from the historical centre nearby.
In the immediate vicinity there is little touristic, however, is the historic centre on foot about 15 minutes. Within walking distance, with the taxi in tight. Ten minutes for 8-9 (3-4 Euro)-real though the hotel free taxi coupons are available.
This way you can use for good, for the return trip you have to call the hotel and then ... however about 15 minutes.-which is, as you are in this wait often beggars annoyed. So the better for the way there, and for the return trip to invest three euro.
Walking is fine during the day, at night but not to be recommended, as the area at night a bit isolated.
The hotel itself was, as already mentioned, well renovated, nicely decorated and made a very clean impression. Our room and bathroom were very small, the double bed was small for me and (1.90 meters) a bit short. But very well equipped with a tv with satellite channels all (HBO, etc. and DW.) and a super fast, free Wi-Fi. For internet users, in the lobby, there were Internet terminals but also, as far as I saw it.
The breakfast buffet was not too big, but good, with fresh fruit, cold cuts/cheese and cakes. Eggs/omelets could be ordered, but typical for Bahia Tapioca there was not.
Conclusion:
The location is not ideal, but by the free taxi service okay. The hotel itself was nice and the rooms small but well equipped and clean. The price/performance ratio okay-actually almost 120 EUR (275 real) too much, but if it with the other hotels in the old town-near compares, it is normal.
So for a short stay (1-3 days) the hotel is highly recommended, if you are going to stay longer I would recommend a beachfront hotel and take trips to the old town. read more
