Carlton Square is a large, somewhat old-stylish hotel. Both, the general parts of the hotel and the rooms are equipped with a fabric covering. You enter the hotel either from the directly underlying parking (24, 50 euro per 24 hrs.) or through the main entrance. The large entrance hall is connected with the restaurant where in the morning the breakfast is served. You also will find a business room with 4 computers which can be used for free. There are two elevators which connect you with one of the 122 rooms read more

We occupied room 327, a large room with an excellent box spring double bed, a very good LCD TV with a lot of channels and a working table. There is also a mini bar and there are coffee/tea facilities which are replenished every day. Our room is situated above the main entrance and that is a problem. Although the windows are double glazed, there is rather much noise from outside. The more because in front of the hotel is a very large tree where some people feel the need to have some conversation at night. Moreover the room is very warm but you can not open a window because of the noise from outside. This means that especially the first night we did not sleep well. Although the room is very good, ask for a room at the rear if you are a light sleeper. As we booked this hotel as a ´secret saver´ at a special rate (the name is only released 48 hours before departure) we were not able to state any preferences. The bathroom is rather large with a large wash stand, a bath tub with a good working shower and at least two towels per person. Soap and shower gel are standard amenities. Room and bathroom are very clean.

The hot/cold breakfast buffet is very good and very abundant: about seven kinds of bread and a variety of milk, meat and cheese products. There are several kinds of juices, cereals, jams and a variety of fesh fruit. It is possible to have lunch and diner in the restaurant or a simple meal in your room but we did not use it.

Upon arrival, I was informed the my booking unfortunately had been canceled. For some obvious reasons. opps?! But as I already paid for and booked through TUI and then was I got a room (nice, or!). In my room was a bit broken which they fixed first after complaing twice demand. At the check out the staff again Kanta. It has never been the checkin people smiled or greeted. All were very busy. No departure phrase used! Rooms were for my taste much too old-fashioned. Young people have every evening before the house under a tree and were very noisy-motorcycle ... in, back and forth. The breakfast and dinner were great, really good, wide and great coffee! The cleanliness and the bathroom were great! I would however for your next visit in Haarlem select another hotel. Magical City! read more

The hotel is popular with a mix of companies for conventions and tourists had booked. It also has a whisky bar in the evening, but we didn't use it, as well as a café, where breakfast was served. The nationalities of the guests was mostly Dutch, but also German and English and consisted of families and couples from the ages between 15 and 70 about. The only complaint I have is the carpet in the breakfast area, the really needed to be cleaned. read more

We booked a superior room and an executive room, which in addition with a larger free in-room safes, and irons. The bathroom was newly renovated with very modern furnishings, hairdryer and bathtub with shower, very clean and comfortable, but a bit small. In the rooms there is free wireless Internet access, air conditioning, pay minibar, and a small balcony. The room itself was a good size and kept very clean. The furnishings were not so modern but they are well maintained and is no complaints. Unfortunately the bed is very narrow (1,50 m), and we had a large ceiling and the mattress was continuous what my mother and me a big difference, for couples but certainly not a problem.

The hotel features one of us unused portions whisky bar with it's guide and a café, which also houses the breakfast room. Here one could a beer or food, but we didn't. There is a room service, the 5.50 EUR costs. You may dishes from a small menu delivered to your room. The by us with includes breakfast is extensive. You shouldn't expect German bread, but the bread rolls are crispy, and fresh croissants are also available. expect a jams, different types of meat and cheese, salmon, hams, a choice of different juices and various cereals, along with tea and coffee. We at least got full.

Upon arrival, we were greeted with a friendly welcome. We were given comprehensive information about Amsterdam and Haarlem. In fact you can be rooms only from 2pm, but we were lucky, and for us were already waiting at 10 :00 am one without charge. The rooms were cleaned very well. The staff is friendly. The check in for the return flight allowing me to use the reception PC, since the two PCs (free) were occupied. Many employees spoke German, all other English. We could easily communicate. We had no complaints, and we didn't use.

Not far from the hotel there is a bus stop. The bus will take you to the train station, crosses but sadly (our knowledge) not main line to the airport (transfer time about 45 minutes), so we about a 10 minute walk from the bus to the hotel to it. The bus from the train station that left on weekends only every 15 minutes, the walk is about 20 minutes). From the train station is taking the train to Amsterdam very good, however, every couple of minutes 15 -minute walk to Central Station. Apart from the transportation is very well located, since it wasn't very noise from is and the neighborhood in which the hotel resides is a safe atmosphere. The hotel is also right on the entrance to the mall, where there are several bars and good restaurants. All in all we are glad to have stayed in Haarlem and not in Amsterdam right.

The hotel is large, easy to find and the outside very appealing. There were lots of rooms of which one of the superior we have stayed in. Free parking if you in Harlem in vain. The very best is to order if you are in the right under the hotel British owned parking garage for 35€ buy a weekly pass, which also for four other parking garages in Harlem Valid. Just ask in the small office at the entrance. Otherwise you pay a lot of money for "bellhops quickly". Price the hotel is adequate. We booked at the last minute ... and get what a bargain for 352€ 4 nights with breakfast. The average age of the guests is probably the 45. Children there was almost no so it was in the hotel at all times pleasantly quiet. read more

The room was clean but not particularly big. The decor is nothing special, chair, armchair, a real king sized bed, (160 * 220 ) A flat-TV and a mini bar. The for 2,50 Eur offered drinks but you get as is the supermarket only 300 meters away. Also, a dry cleaning and laundry service, alternatively can do so in the small Heizmangel desk hidden an ironing board or use. A mini-safe, clean kettle complement the offer.

There is a tastefully decorated dining room in the breakfast is also served. They make you feel almost on a cruise ship with the many glass and woods, the heavy carpets and the shallow music. A small outdoor café invites you to stay. As the views from this however is strictly limited use but you will stay at one of the many beach cafes in the neighboring Zandvoort. The rates are as you would expect in a four star hotel. For a 3 course evening meal we liked to pay 25€ without drinks. The breakfast is hearty, sausage, Vollei and crispy Backon are a nice change to the also offered bread with jam. The unfortunately it was also the change as breakfast not changed during our stay.

Here a small tip the park car parking is free and the beach is 10-15 minutes.

If you come to swim in Harlem is will soon notice that the beach in Zandvoort is good - 8 kilometers (5 miles) away. With a car, you're in about 15 minutes. On site in the so-called Park-route von Humboldt stand guard over where you can store your vehicle for 1.80 per hour or 7€ 5h. The Einkaufssituation in Harlem is rather modest. There are plenty of a euro shops, cell phone shops and clothes shops like Kik or H&M.

For a short get away or a city break the hotel meets its goal. We booked two nights without catering to EUR 59.00 euro/per night. Quite clear: it is a at the check-in, the two classes-company. If you are not right in the hotel booked, you will first 'processed'. We are convinced former, that it in this hotel is nice, clean, spacious rooms, but unfortunately we didn't get any, as well as the other guests with whom we have to talk to us, via the Internet. The hallway to the room was dirty and stinky. The room itself met ... the arrange transportation to the four stars standard, but not more than that. The bathroom was very small and old fashioned. On the second night we something to eat from the hotel to the room. Salad and club sandwich 49.00 euro! The price would be okay former, if we do not get a indedible salad, chicory leaves from octopus existed. (Loud map Ceasar salad with chicken.) So for a short get away without catering suitable. read more

Our double room was very small, but very cozy decorated in yellow and even had a small balcony. The hotel features included a good sized TV, mini bar, coffee/tea/coffee making facilities. The cleanliness was flawless. However, there are Minus points for the extreme Lärmbelästung in the first night. Our room was directly above the restaurant, this was a gala evening. The noise level was incredible. Even with Ohrenstopfen made it impossible to sleep until the event late at night to end of was.

It is a great hotel is located! The breakfast was great, fresh juices, salmon, etc.. The rooms were immaculate, very large, very clean, a really great! Very comfortable beds. very friendly staff! The only downside is, it does not have its own parking, there is a parking garage with private access to the hotel this is unfortunately pretty expensive, 1 €per half hour from 18,00 o'clock to 8:00 costs 2.50 euros for it the whole night! read more

We were satisfied with the hotel. Decor and correspond to the four stars standard. The rooms were (as usual in the Netherlands) a little small, but well appointed therefor. If you would like to have breakfast in the hotel, should be done in a package book in advance, otherwise it cost 19.50 euro per person. Attached to the hotel features a restaurant, Café de la Paix, and a bar, whisky bar. Everything made a very neat impression, but we didn't used. Unfortunately, our room was not with balcony-for smokers due to the Dutch legislation a little tiring, because you ... have to leave the hotel. Due to its central location you can reach the haarlemer city center with numerous shopping possibilities in a few minutes on foot, and the town of Charme. Amsterdam is just a stone's throw away. By car you can use park and Ride and parking for 24 hours cost €per six. In addition there are still tickets for the free urban public transportation. Another piece of advice: parking is available in the entire area of the hotel due to the intensive management of parkraumes very expensive. Only on Sundays is free parking on the street, otherwise it costs of 9:00 o 'clock to 23:00 o' clock 2.50 euro per hour, in the multi-storey car park with direct access to the hotel from 8:00 until 19:00 o'clock 2.00 euro per hour, from 19:00 until 8:00 2.50 euros for the whole period. Even if you get to the seafront runs, it will usually expensive. read more
