We lived one week in Hilton croydon. Since we a city trip planned had, we were with the relatively poor traffic connections to London disappointed. Finally, you rely on, easy to the desired destination to come. Mo-friday There were from the hotel a transfer to the train station east croydon. But saturday And sunday Not! Why? Tourists only on weekdays to London? Alternatively there was a few -minute walk away a bus stop, from a bus to the train station drove duration about 15 minutes from there, it was by train to Victoria Station to London- duration about 20 minutes ... only you had the possibility, with the subway continue. For families with children clearly not recommendable! Especially early in the morning and evenings on the way back the trains and buses, of course, completely overcrowded!
A short comment to the rooms and the service: the rooms themselves were acceptable. The furniture was worn, but nevertheless acceptable. Unfortunately was not regularly cleaned. At our request, we need 3 towels and not 2, as we 3 persons are, we were 3 towels and nothing else put in the bathroom.
Every day there was a new surprise in the bathroom: only 3 bath towels, then 1 bath towel and 3 normal towels and so on very annoying!
But apart from, was the breakfast buffet plentiful and the breakfast room clean and pleasant.
Our summary: specially for families with children, every day of vacation in London to spend would like, is the Hilton croydon not recommendable. read more

A simple Hilton Hotel with normal value for money, far outside of town, but the best traffic connection. Very friendly staff. We had a quiet room to the inner courtyard. Unfortunately left the window do not open (for security reasons?). Air conditioning ok. Furniture getting a bit old, however modern Technology. Safe and W-LAN free of charge. Flat tv, no German television channel. Towels, beds and room service reasonable. First class breakfast in a nice ambiance. Right around the corner leisure facilities, bus station, restaurant with pub and some fast food shops. read more

Typical Hilton Hotel in England, already getting old. As usual with relatively small rooms, but everything was there and everything was clean. The main problem was this time, that the air conditioning not working properly respectively chilled and about 30° it was no fun. The window could also be only tilted.
The breakfast buffet was very good with very much selection, also healthy things. We have evenings also in the restaurant eaten which was also very good, particularly the very friendly staff.
Free parking on the house, good traffic connections to the highway. Pub supermarkets etc. In about 1 kilometer. ...
For a city break to London but unsuitable, since no subway-Port (wasn't relevant for us, but one should know it, that Croydon a suburb of London is ( near the airport Gatwick) but without subway. read more

We felt in the hotel very felt at ease. The staff were always friendly, the rooms clean, and for breakfast nothing remained to desire!
The value for money was adequate. The furniture were somewhat older, the bed however very comfortable and the hair dryer, over DTE station to iron everything in the room available! If you luxury wishes, must just a bit deeper into the wallet! But for a rather short duration of the stay the hotel is definitely recommendable!

Window in the bedroom did not open. Mold in the bedroom and the bathroom was plain to see. Curtains with cigarette burns. Unpleasant smell in the bedroom. Carpet was filthy-don't want to know, where the stains. From the minibar lielf water cycle, which was to be recognized on the sideboard. On the men's toilet on the ground floor (lobby) were partly the water drains didn't work, the fixtures and defect lights. The tables for breakfast and dinner were all very dingy, kleberig. Plates were cleared away from the staff was not very timely. All the deficiencies are evident and are ... of the hotel management not turned off, but as we were slightly further expected! read more

This hotel was a nightmare. The room had water stains on the ceiling, electrical outlets were loose and clean it was not. The food in the dining room was poorly prepared and tasted also not. The tables were dirty which was in the entrance area and the public toilets showed. The staff was not very friendly and not helpful. The location of the hotel was very bad. Would not stay. read more

The hotel works very cleanly. The old condition is only noticeable in the hotel course and/or in the rooms. read more

So First The hotel is not really four star, was still ok. thing is that the carpets in the corridor and room was very old and dingy, age/mold in the bathroom and on the hallway or the room smelled a little ' odd". Everything already a bit older. But other than that really ok. We have been as a couple 4 days. We were only there for a short break and made schlafern there. It was really great, as the bus connection was really great. We had a bus stop right in front of the hotel and overall about 35 ... minutes to London City ( Victoriastation) are required. We have had a super deal and have paid 20 euros per person per night. For a Hilton hotel and London really great. read more
