We enjoyed our week at Amiral Palace in Istanbul. The hotel is in a quiet location in the old quarter Sultanhammed and close to everywhere centrally located. You can walk or take the tram everything was wonderful. The staff is very friendly and the breakfast buffet was always nice and fresh, unfortunately we didn't take advantage of the beautiful roof terrace as we had 7 days 5 rainy days. But, well worth a visit. read more

The hotel photos are magical of photography. The reality was much smaller, why the hotel "Palace" me, you will miss. The photos and on the floorplan from hrs normally think that that the hotel located in a green area. I am herausgegangen get away from the hotel and I can confirm the tree that you see in the photo, there's really! In my opinion the hotel deserves more than 2 1/2 stars and not 4 as published on HRS. read more

The rooms are small and noisy. The beds are too small, the feet hang out. There were four of us all have this problem. Our rooms were on the road, and across the street is a running because of the day and night preventing the phone rings. Also walk until late in the night by people waiting taxi driver and share their experiences. They also appreciate with absolute certainty, when the neighbor next door about 8am or showers. So is the Preset volume of the TV on top of "0" requests and it takes complicated actions, to the unit to raise a sound.

  • Gastronomy
    3.0

The rather poor Show does not really characteristic dishes. The only less "international" dish was over. The waiter, at the same time obviously also from boy - had only rudimentary knowledges in foreign languages. It was only with hands and feet to make sure we wanted a "dry" wine. The stay was well mantained, a second bottle of from the same variety but we certainly didn't get that.

  • Service
    3.0

The staff is very friendly, but not very qualified. Breakfast is only from 1/2 8, there are many guests already at the airport.

The hotel is situated in the heart of the densely populated Sultanahmet district. This area is mostly older characteristic buildings. There are a lot of hotels, bars and restaurants and it is a good base for the historical center to "for walks around" - the area is not less developed by public transport. The location is actually "highlight" of this hotel.

The location and the entrance of a very nice hotel. The staff was very friendly and very hard as possible. The room (502 ) was in the rafters, air conditioning and 26° C room temperature only warmed up, mold in the bathroom (no ventilation), at night There was constant noise level of across in discotheque. Really a shame. read more

The hotel is a small hotel in a wooden building from the Ottoman period, which with attention to detail has been restored. The rooms are in the way of location and the facilities very different qualities. The roof terrace is an absolute highlight with views of the Bosphorus and the blue mosque. As a city hotel with a yes quite recently stayed stay absolutely recommendable. The guest structure was very pleasant, middle age, mostly couples, quiet guests. read more

The rooms and bathrooms are different in the size considerably. The bathrooms were partly poverty so small. The decor is in very good shape, the beds outstanding. Air conditioning, safe, minibar and TV with international channels in every room. What is missing is a manual for the electronic safe. Balconies are available in any room.

  • Gastronomy
    2.0

The restaurant is situated either on the roof to a side street and a terrace, where breakfast was served. With the breakfast you for a 4 days stay could manage, one can expect good standard with good quality. When the weather is the breakfast in a room in the basement and relatively uncomfortable. Dinner is the place because of the limited menu and the rather high prices less recommendable. The drink prices were very high, so you are paying for a 12 oz can ( which I for a 4 star hotel than borderline steep ) converted about 4€. wine prices also absolutely high. Tip: Good food at reasonable prices and a great view you can 3 doors down at Best Western.

The hotel is located about 35 km from the airport in a quiet side street. For Istanbul standards absolutely quiet. Attractions like the blue mosque, the Tokapi Palace and the large and Egyptian bazaar in short periods (5 to 15 minutes ) within walking distance. Bars and restaurants are 2 blocks away.

Smart boutique hotel in city district Sultanahmnet below the Hagia Sophia. Rooms are modern and clean, but no more than about 16 sqm. Flat screen TV and mini-bar are available in the room. The rooms are small but well equipped. TV, minibar, telephone, safe (free of charge). As well as in the room was an electric kettle and instant coffee and tea. Because Istanbul a very noisy city is, will be impacted. For a good night's sleep better if windows closed. At least at sunrise you heard the mopeds call. But that wasn't a problem, the rooms all are air conditioned.

  • Gastronomy

We only took advantage of breakfast so can't say about the quality of the restaurants. The breakfast was varied. Both Turkish specialities, as well as a European breakfast were offered.

The whole staff spoke English and are always friendly and tried hard. Despite the early check in we could move into our room directly and on the day we left the luggage at the hotel. The rooms were cleaned every day and the also exhaustive. Also the service at breakfast, and on the roof terrace is absolutely in good order.

An ideal starting point for exploring Istanbul. From Ataturk Airport it was about 30-40 minutes by taxi. Nearby there were loads of restaurants and bars.

The service we would describe very discreet. Empty plates on the breakfast buffet were only very sluggish and only after asking refilled. Although we had amazing sunshines we couldn't on the roof terrace but only in the breakfast room (basement) breakfast. We just at the buffet served in the basement with the filled up plates on the roof terrace.

We would highly recommend this hotel! The service was very good - they made us feel very welcome. Breakfast was to Turkish way and highly recommended. The rooms do not have much but clean, neat and well equipped - incl. Tel. , TV, wireless Internet access, hair dryers, sufficient outlets (we found important from various units that we so mitführten - cell phones, photo, laptop, MP3 players).
