During our round trip through the north of thailand we were two nights guests in this hotel. The beautiful and spacious resort is located on a river a little bit out of town from Chiang Rai.
The resort, in the thai style, has 256 rooms, is clean and tidy. It becomes apparent gladly booked by tour groups, this the guests largest part somewhat older, the nationalities were mixed.
In the lobby there are free wi-fi. Here are also a cosy bar, a shop, internet room (internet is here liable to pay the costs) and access to the spa area.
Breakfast ... offers a very good selection, but the restaurant is not very attractive, it is a bit of a station concourse. The dinner, which we at the pool bar had ordered, was likewise good and priced okay.
The rooms are clean, a little old-fashionably however furnished nicely, our bathroom was with a bath equipped.
The beautiful pool was unfortunately too cold, could but also because, that before and during our stay rained.
Restaurants, bars and supermarket are, as far as i can judge it, within walking distance, only difficult to reach. read more

A hotel that somewhat remotely located-but but quiet-with the tuk tuk 100 Bhat to the center. The rooms are more than in need of renovation, or the bathrooms make a desolate impression-however one is cleanliness at least tried hard. Likewise the range for breakfast is already plentiful from and no longer corresponds to the otherwise from the outside inviting impression. The service for people the à la carte food was more than poor-despite cooler temperature in the evening this was only on the outdoor swimming pool and there folded despite empty tables the order not at all and the friendliness ... and the effort of the staff was not available. read more

Great complex, but already a bit tattered with the years. Nevertheless very recommendable grounds on the river with a pool bar and very nice, well kept pool. Very spacious and well-kept. Older guests, international.
Very winding wohn'wings', but clean and well maintained.
Safety deposit box at the front desk (without examining the signature). read more

Lonely in beautiful garden area located hotel. Ideal for early morning joggers. Little tourist in our day, the lukewarm but clean pool we had almost alone for us. The breakfast was OK. Evening entertainment (singer gave itself trouble) before empty chairs. The hotel is somewhat older, the ambience made us however very pleased. read more

The hotel has already some years behind it, but for one night on a round trip it is good.
It is very isolated and there are no restaurants and bars nearby.
The drinks prices are acceptable, the breakfast was okay.

The Rimkok Resort hotel is something off the beaten track from Chiang Rai. The hotel is a larger complex with 9 big houses.
In the main building there is a gift shop, hairdresser, restaurant, bar, massage studio and an internet cafe. In the outdoor area there is a big pool the we didn't use. From the hotel runs for 100 Baht the way hourly a shuttle bus after Chiang Rai and back. The room is in terms of size okay. The carpet is somewhat older and the furniture seemed also a bit shabby. In the room were two single beds ..., TV, desk, safe and wardrobe. Also had the room a balcony with two chairs and a small table. The condition the bathroom was average. Partly black Joints and a older toilet seat were the worst there. read more

Fortunately only 1 night! According to our guide a five star hotel-20 years! The bathroom fixtures rusted. The dining room has the feel of a train station hall. The buffet (relatively expensive for Thailand) was not worth the money! Breakfast was rather poor. The pool was quite nicely laid out. But a vacation, I want to make the hotel not even for free! read more

The hotel is located directly on the river, so that you from there very nice excursions with the small speedboats make can. The hotel itself is very large, divided into several blocks. It has certainly seen better days. The decor in the room was quite old, but clean. The check-in process was superb. Unfortunately the hotel is also very badly soundproofed. In the room we had two beds, two chairs, a table and a mini bar. The hotel itself is very large, in the large hall are not only the reception, but also a few shops. The restaurant is unfortunately ... little attractive, you felt like being in a station concourse, the food was also rather very poor. It made the impression strongly, that the hotel is mostly visited for groups for a night is, since also no value on was very friendly service. The pool area is very large and nicely arranged, the garden area is with many old trees were. The hotel is OK for a night. read more

We were within the framework of our trip for 1 night at this hotel and were in accordance with the two previous bad hotel quite pleasantly surprised. Unfortunately we are only after nightfall arrived, so that we the garden with the pool and the Middle river until the next morning we could see, but the looked quite nice. The room, including the size and the equipment, were for 1 night in order. In the very spacious breakfast room it was much to cold and by the air conditioning by the size of the room was to a high noise level. ... The hotel was, as almost all of our round trip hotel, much to far away from the city center. We could only find us in (about 500 meters) close to a small restaurant and food cheap (30 Baht per portion) and tasty to evening. read more

We stayed as part of a Thailand round trip for one night at the hotel. The hotel looks like in previous reviews already very shabby and a renovation would. The room was clean and had a balcony overlooking the river. Unfortunately the tv didn't work.
The hotel's restaurant offers a good selection of food (some good Thai dishes), we had the buffet, which at a reasonable price is available. Unfortunately, the atmosphere in the restaurant was nothing special, it looked more like an old coffee house. The cushions of the seats would also need urgently a cleaning. Also the tablecloths ... had stains from the previous guests.
In the hotel area there wasn't a lot, except for a small restaurant in front of the area, the walk but ten minutes away, as the street through the garden was still quite long. We are only at the arrival with the bus and were too tired to walk there.
The staff in the hotel was very friendly.
I used the opportunity for a massage at the hotel, was completely satisfied with it, because I felt that it was very rude (had in a same massage, which was very pleasant), and the staff of the salons on Thai chatted and giggled with each other, which worsened the atmosphere. So I would not recommend this massage. read more

We were in this hotel for a night a Thailand-tour. 20 years ago this was probably a great hotel, however, was the last years probably not more recently a lot renovated. We felt pretty isolated in us this great hotel. No offer in the area. The restaurant had a beautiful location directly by the river, and the food were very tasty, varied, and cheap for a hotel. Live music in the restaurant was also a good framework for a holiday evening-goose bumps was safe-great singer. The breakfast was a buffet was set up, which was however not very tasty was. read more

The hotel is off the beaten path on the banks of the river. There are no bars, restaurants and shops nearby. But since we only spent one night there, was that it didn't really matter. The hotel is huge, the rooms are located in 3-story buildings in extensive a huge garden. The decor was very simple, but okay for one night. It looked relatively clean. In the main building there was the possibility to massage (Thai massage 300 Baht = about six euro). The quality of the massages, I can't rate. The restaurant, where we got our dinner and breakfast ..., was in the main building. The food was so-so. Breakfast was a hectic. Behind the hotel there was a beautiful, large pool, but we didn't use it. But we could find no major pollution. There was also a pool bar, where in the evening some hours. The cocktails are, however, as almost everywhere in Thailand, almost only from gecrashtem ice cream. The staff had great difficulty with the English language. But with hands and feet worked it was always somehow. On the whole, the hotel is highly recommended for short stays. read more

From the outside the hotel looks very good through the beautiful garden and the river location. Our room was very worn, it was no safe. The bathroom was very old, the fixtures so old, that it a flooding of the bathroom was, as the old seal the water pipe was broken. The hotel staff was however endeavors to avoid further harm, but only what the third craftsmen succeeded. The running tap, but no one has repaired.
Each morning was before the doors a layer of dead insects small, making their lives could we not had to leave to find out! ...
The breakfast was in a cafeteria-like atmosphere, surrounded by, contrary to the mentality of the Thailänders, unfriendly staff. The breakfast was unfortunately the worst on our trip.
The hotel is far away from Chiang Rai, it was a liable to pay the costs shuttle bus.
In Chiang Rai is a must ' Aye's' food with live music. read more
