Great location but terribly outdated

An old hotel in the beautiful coastal town of oban. Only with the beautiful food hall and the great location, close to the port, speak for this hotel. Otherwise it is just old and finished with the world. Back to the old, thick carpets, including the squeaky wooden floorboards. Old fixtures in the bathroom and little space. Stained bedspreads, holes in the towels and chipped paint everywhere. In short: the best days of the 'royal' are already long back. We were on our Schottland-trip fortunately only one night in this' old shed '. And the food is of course a ... matter of taste. Scottish evenly. read hotel review

For excursions with boat, bus or train the hotel lies very cheap, all abfahrtsstellen are in the immediate vicinity. The royal. Hotel itself is somewhat older date but nevertheless it made a well-kept impression. The rooms are very different, some are quite small, others are very spacious. The furniture in the room is also very different. The breakfast buffet as well as the dinner were plentiful and tasty. Next to the dining room on the first floor there are on the ground floor a bar, where snacks are served. read hotel review

Very nice hotel close to the ferry terminals. The rooms are very small and the walls very thin. Amenities were fine - from TV to kettle. The breakfast buffet is attractive, but do no minute earlier. Dinner is excellent. Good selection and flavors of the dishes. Unfortunately there is only one small lift, therefore, there tours long waits. read hotel review
