Really recommendable for a short break. Especially the pub around the corner ('the Wellington') is worth a visit. Also the breakfast is really enjoyable. In addition to that, WiFi is free of charge. Perfect. read more

The mespil hotel has approximately 250 rooms. It served us as a starting point for a city tour. Our stay took 1 week. The entrance area, the staircase, elevator and hallways are clean and tidy. Vending machines ( drinks, ice etc.) on the ground floor and 2nd floor. We had a room to the lateral road, it was quiet. The audience was mixed, more often groups, but also locals. From the ages were all age groups represented. At the front desk sometimes a German speaking/ German staff, apart from that is the language of course speaks English. read more

As part of our Southern Ireland trip 'Irish Highlights' by DERTOUR we were staying at the beginning and end of the trip in this hotel. The hotel is already somewhat older, but so far clean and tidy. Only in the gastronomy area, you must be careful, as glasses and tableware could be sticky sometimes or show rests from the previous users.
Breakfast is continental or typical Irish/English plentiful at the buffet.
In less than 30 minutes you are in the pedestrian area and the pub district Temple Bar behind it.
The rooms to the inner courtyard are at night somewhat ... louder, since there are constantly activities and fans running.

Nice hotel! Situated on a small river! Centrally located, with about 30 minutes walk to the pedestrian zone! Pubs are in the immediate vicinity! Breakfast buffet is varied and tasty! The dinner is good, but not always completely fresh (after my fancy)! The staff are very friendly! read more

We were for 4 days in this hotel. Good, central location. The check-in was a bit strange, as we had a somewhat arrogant young lady in front of us. Otherwise, the staff is very nice and helpful.
The furniture is quite worn out. Veneers torn and so on, but everything was clean.
However it is recommendable because of the good price-performance ratio. read more

The hotel is older and also something worn-out but on the whole OK. The variety at breakfast was not particularly (for example, no fresh fruit).
It was clean and the staff also everything. into the center of Dublin is about 15 minutes to foot one way, we found the was very comfortable. two beautiful parks are also in the vicinity of the hotel. read more

The hotel isn't brand new any more, however quite reasonable. At the beginning and at the end of our trip we stayed one night each in this hotel. The first night we were on the 5th Floor, where the water pressure is very poor and the shower is not fun. The second night on the first floor was better, however therefore noisy, although the window faced out to the side street.
The location of the hotel is perfect, though. You are within 15 minutes walking on Stephen's Green.
Also the staff at reception are very willing to help and will ... be glad to answer all questions. read more

Everyone has different expectations what good beds, but I have never slept on a durchhängenden mattress. In addition, the double bed too small. More than three nights I couldn't work. Otherwise, the location is very nice, clean and relatively quiet, but yet central. Within walking distance of all the major sights. read more

The hotel is a typical city hotel for “Durchreisende”. Corresponding is also the personal service. We were in the context of a round trip at the beginning 1 night and at the end of the round trip 2 nights in this hotel. The condition generally leaves to be desired for European conditions. The equipment of the baths as well as the cleanliness of the rooms did not correspond indeed to our conceptions. We had half-board, which halfway was correct in the context of the organized bus round trip. read more

The hotel is directly located at Grand Canal, as it is quaint and tranquil. Despite the size of the house it was in the room on the fifth floor quiet. One night was on the hotel hall some noise otherwise they are obviously thick walls for Irish standards - you don't hear from next door. The street in front of the hotel was paved, but after 11:30 pm and in the morning the work. Strangely, there is no closet in the room, you can open the hang your clothes. We had not booked including breakfast. The breakfast buffet was ... well stocked. The room has the charm of a Bahnhofsvorhalle. We had the hotel buffet twice dazugenommen, but you can also one of the numerous cafes around the corner heaps. The location of the hotel to the center is reasonable considering the quality that the rest of the hotel with the affordable price. 200 meters around the corner take bus number 10 with reasonable frequency into the center of town. Walk from Grafton Street of about 20 minutes. read more

The hotel is a good base for exploring the exciting city Dublin. Our check in from the airport was with the air coach bus completely unproblematic. Check-in was great was that the gentleman at the front desk spoke fluent German. We had two double rooms, which were next to each other. Both rooms were large, clean and comfortable warm. We couldn't open the window, but the vent in the bathroom was spotless. Also, the bathroom was fine. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful., as well as the food in the restaurant in the evening, although not so diverse. In about ... ten minutes walk to the 27 -acre park "Stephen's Green" and from there you are in a breeze in the beautiful pedestrian zones. If you like some time is a short trip to the sea: easy bus ride from Connolly station peninsula Howth drive ( about 30 minutes). Will be having Dublin definitely visit again and certainly stay again in the Mespil-hotel again and again! read more

The hotel is because of the edge of the town center (if one in such a way to call can). One reaches the pedestrian precinct anyhow within 15 - 20 minutes. Up to the Temple bar there is then about 5 minutes more. But everything in the bearable measured and definitely to foot feasiblly. There the Irish a friendly Völkchen are were also our receipt at the reception accordingly friendly and forestalling. Our room lay in the third floor forward to the Grand Canal out. Was there also immediately the road, but of it one actually heard nothing. The breakfast ... was offered as buffet and was completely satisfying for us and for well found. I was last also a few teammates in London and can say Ireland have with England absolutely nothing with the breakfast together (fortunately: -)) the Puplikum in the hotel was mixed. Businessmen, holiday-makers or stop those the country approximately around Dublin to look at itself want. read more

In the room did not the light on the dessert, nor the TV, nor the heating tidy. During our stay The bathroom was not cleaned once. There were only towels changed and the beds made, more than ten minutes the maid but not for us anyway Found on the floor from the previous crumbs, the same in the small kitchen unit, which in addition was sticky. We preferred to make us anything to eat here After we approached the cleaning lady and in addition a note left, nothing changed! Never again will I go to the hotel. The price is ... very, very cheap, but cleanliness you might still ask for! read more

We have the Mespil as a starting point for excursions in Dublin and the surrounding area. Overall, we were completely satisfied with the hotel. The typical English breakfast buffet was ( for a full breakfast also very good. Our room was bright and clean. Since it was on the side of the hotel was straßenzugewandten, you always heard some traffic. But it was just in the absolutely tolerable. We had experienced worse! The quite central location of the hotel contingent of course, that for trips out of Dublin first had to be planned a long time, go with a rental ... car from the city herausrauszukommen. However it is all the more suitable as a starting point for tours within the city to serve. You are within 15 minutes in the city center. read more

In December I was with a friend for three nights at the Mespil hotel and highly recommend it. The location is great, central and easily reachable by bus. In 10 minutes you are at the O'Conell Street. Still quiet. Bars, cafes, subway, and Burger King directly next door or around the corner. The staff, maids, receptionist was nice and helpful. The rooms modern and clean. Unfortunately, no German channel, but you are not to watch television in Dublin. The breakfast was delicious and very generous. For the day of our departure, we could have breakfast at the hotel there was ... even a packed lunch to go! read more
