More than a hostal - a good hotel!

We were 4. for five days, over new year's eve in Madrid. We were more than thrilled by the hostel. It is officially at a hostel, but from our experience was pathetic untwined (may) we say: it is more than that!
The rooms (admittedly very small) were every day cleaned and the towels were changed. The location is fantastic and the ladies at the reception very friendly. On new year's eve it rained, so we stayed in the hostel were. Here erwiß the chic and totally comfortable lounge a good substitute. The vending machine with its low prices must especially ... be mentioned (a beer 1,20 Euro). The huge flat screen tv with all german programs, so ' dinner for one ' wasn't a problem. We had two single rooms and a double room. The rooms are, as mentioned, very small, however for sleeping and showers more than enough. From and to hear one also various nachbargeräusche, which did not disturb us however. The price level was also great!
Next to the lounge there is a computer room with three free computers (with wi-fi connection). Printer to free print are also available.
So: every time would gladly come again.
Note: the single room had a small balcony: so good for smokers read more

Great location for tourists, the most sights and museums are on foot within maximum 15 minutes reachable, the shopping street 'gran via' is only a block away. With the subway to the airport it takes about 1 hour. read more

The hotel is in a great -location ( block to gran via). Sights and possibilities to go out are easy to reach ( mostly also in a few minutes within walking distance). The metro-stops gran via and Callao are from the hotel in 5 minutes reachable. To the airport it is 40 to 45 minutes with the metro.
The rooms are although somewhat small, however therefor clean and with everything equipped, which one needs (bathroom with toilet and shower, flat tv, safe and partly balcony). Only drawback is, that the walls are a bit noisy.
Breakfast there are in the ... hotel unfortunately not, but some cafes in the surroundings.
All together the hotel has great value for money! We can recommend the hotel and would also book it again. read more

Just great! Within 40 minutes one comes from the airport with the metro to the hotel. The staff are very accommodating and helpful. Also the suitcase on the day of departure very safe fixed. read more

The hostal ballesta is on the paper and a price two star hotel, but very well equipped, recently been completely renovated and is located in a side street of the 'Gran via', so extremely central. The staff are very friendly, there is free use of PCs with printer and luggage storage. The single room was very small, but to stay perfectly adequate. Sensational price performance ratio. read more

Great Hotel, would have two or three star rating. Only 3 minutes walk to the metro. 1 minute walk to shops. Price/performance ratio was super! Next time it'll go back to the Hostal ballesta! We were very pleased.
Room is not big but clean. Airconditioning was new and flat-screen tv.
New furniture, beds were not new, but OK. Safe was for free and with code.

The hotel is located right in the heart of madrid, about a five-minute walk to it next metro station, the main shopping street is located in the parallel street to the hostal.
The hotel is ideally located near shopping fashionable and renovated. The rooms are nice and big enough. There are towels, safe, and flat-screen tv. The front desk 24 hour is occupied and approachable. No one spoke German, but with hands and feet worked well. Staff are very friendly.
Room was daily cleaned. Very recommendable. read more

The hostal ballesta is located almost directly in a small side street in the middle of the city center. The metro and the gran via (main street) is less than five minutes walk away.
It is very quiet at night. The front desk 24 hour is occupied. There is an elevator.

I close mean previous speakers on. Class hotel, free Wlan and also 3 terminal for the guests. Breakfast does not give it, also no bar, but in the entrance hall an automat is where it favorably beverages (0.33 beer for 1,20€) and snack gives room roomy, cleanly, climate, TV, roll shops, double noise control glazing, free safe on the room. The curb swallows those generally speaking quarters herumlungern are absolutely unproblematic. U course station “Grand via” is 250m far away from the hotel. Around the corner: Supermarkets, Mc. DO, Kebap, pizza, Tapas. The room was relatively small, for two nights however okay. A room had completely in the back with yard view by that nearly no light into the room came. I found the situation very good, one am in 10 min on the Plaza del Sol. On the road before the Hostal the prostitutes, those stand leave one however in peace. Those actually stand the whole way nearly up to the Plaza del Sol. There are three computers in the Hostal on which one free of charge Internet surfing can. In addition automats with coffee, meal and drinking are located in ... the ground floor, if one gets hunger or thirst at the night. read more

I would not have meant which one in the center so well, inexpensive and nevertheless calmly stay overnight in the middle can. With the Hostal Ballesta concerns it a very good 2Sterne hotel, which lies in a side street to the “Gran via” and only recently completely one reconditioned. Lounge responding arranged and next door are 4 computers with free of charge Internet entrance as well as pressure possibilities. Likewise Getränke&Snackautomat as well as a coffee automat for fair 0,50€. The hotel has 4Etagen with elevator. With the room there is nothing to complain of in this category. Normal ... size of, everything very again and responding furnished with flat picture TV (RTL), safe, telephone, heating and fan, as well as free of charge W-LAN. Each room has also a small balcony. The bathroom was with Dusche/WC. All ranges perfect cleanly. Approximately around the hotel and the “Gran via” is numerous restaurants, shops and business. For my double room for however use I paid 33€, which nevertheless in the middle due to the calm situation however in the center a hammer price is and I will stay overnight again here with the next Madrid attendance with security. read more

The hotel lies in a side street directly to the Gran via. It can be attained of two metro stations out within 5 minutes to foot. The hotel is completely again reconditioned and very clean. The bathroom is small, but completely sufficient (WC, shower, wash basin). The rooms are daily deseamed and the towels are changed. There is no air conditioning system in the hotel! Solang one is awake, can one the Balkontüre on make and a little for passages provide. As soon as one wants to sleep, one should close the door however, since into Spain the garbage disposal ... comes at night and is rather loud it in the road! The hotel makes 3 available computers with printer free of charge in the ground floor. Likewise there is there a lounge a snack and cold and hot beverages an automat. Otherwise there are no meals. A disadvantage of the hotel is the situation. In the road there are many prostitutes and some “Sex clubs”. This is at the beginning much frightening, must it however not. The prostitutes do not let one want completely in peace and from an anything to know. read more

The hotel lies in a calm side street to the Gran via, thus in the middle in Madrid. It was recently completely reconditioned. The rooms are very modern and offer sufficiently place. The bathroom is ok. In the rooms are a Flatscreen TV and one have free W-LAN receipt. Who forgot its computer, computer can use Internet free of charge in the ground floor at one of the 3 and also free expressions transact. In the ground floor is likewise a modern lounge. The staff speaks good English for Spanish conditions. There is a new elevator, which drives however very ... slowly. The hotel is not obstruct friendly, since from the road to the entrance hall 4 high stages to be overcome to have.
