The burghotel am hohen bogen is very nice located, in a small place nearby the czech border. Cham, furth in the forest, Regensburg are relatively easy to reach and offer shops.
Unfortunately the hotel was quite crowded. Wellness means for us rather, the soul something dangle to may. I was on a bit rest and relaxation looking forward to it. Instead everywhere screaming kids, especially in the wellness area. Pool and sauna were completely overcrowded, only in the separately booked wellness treatment we had a little peace.
There was our room directly at one of the many connecting doors located. ... So that constant slamming of doors belonged to.
Very disappointing we found furthermore the dinner.
Near buffet i think, also as vegetarian, actually always something. But everything that was offered, was either overcooked, bland or out of the bag. The sauces not enjoyable, the dessert enough to make you weep. If i semolina porridge with apfelmuss (from the glass) to dessert get, i can in each cafeteria better food.
The staff were very friendly, there you can say nothing.
Relaxed we feel after the three days in this hotel however not. read more

We have the offer 'ultra all-inclusive ' to the website donna-hotel, unfortunately, this is not recommendable, since almost everything costs extra.
If you're lucky, one gets a plan of the hotel, since this very winding and you are easily lost. Itself in the lift is everything optimal labeled! read more

Negative:
Sauna (will be called, since maximum for 5 people sitting place is!) Is in the basement the relaxation room in addition on the 4 floor - no direct fahrstuhlzugang -indoor pool and sauna is only through paravan dissevered (loud and chlorine smell)-partly large mop or anything-extreme danger of slipping! - winding construction-fireplace room, but not comfortable as a passage room-our breakfast we had to stock up on your own, although not lots of guests there was stained carpets and seating-evening buffet sufficiently available, but without description it is usually not possible the court to recognize or erschmecken - the ... food in the italian evening was worse than inadequate-shower head in the room totally calcified only a thin jet came out-musical (popular!) Constant in the entire place - access to tg winding and was not cleared and dispersed, so that we 2 bad slip had!
The hotel is in the area negative known, like us with various excursions of the locals again and again said, when we the name called!
Positive:
Adequate breakfast buffet - our room was clean - the cleaning crew quickly-

The hotel is spacious, however nevertheless everything was fast and easy to reach.
Employment possibilities there are in the hotel enough: wether the pool- and sauna area, pool or darts!
Sauna is not the newest, however reasonable. Pool is in any case enough.
The staff are with all requests very accommodating and uncomplicated in the handling of complaints.
The dinner is top, both the menu composition, as well as the quality of the dishes.
A very comfortable lounge with bar (with very good cocktails).
The welnnessanwendungen are excellent value for money and very recommendable! read more

We can only recommend the hotel! The staff are in the entire place very friendly, accommodating and always cooperative. At the front desk you get always friendly and it is with all questions helped us. The restaurant offers mornings & evenings a good till very good buffet with enough choice. At the bar and in the bar area you feel comfortable and good atmosphere a nightcap enjoy. The wellness area is clean and offers enough offers for relaxing. + by appointment worked well and were very pleasant
+ parking available free of charge
+ comfortable beds in the rooms
+ bathroom was clean and modern (with a bath)
- tables in the restaurant partly dirty
- not enough staff, long waiting periods in the restaurant
- for the number of guests too few seating in the bar area
- old furniture, is exchanged
- vending machine partly empty and the expiry date of the available drinks was long exceeded
- solarium/gym unusable: equipment broken and quite worn out, you should in the hotel description better not as praise. ...
- towels in the room (were to change on the floor) have been lifted, new folded and back to the use of 'fresh' hung up, not very hygienic!
Conclusion the massages are good, the hotel itself needs improvement. Rather times the existing area renovate and staff increase, instead of more and more room to build. Are not again book. read more

Well so basically:
For the price we paid really recommendable and also gladly again, value for money top!
However: if that is with 'leftover' in contact to apply and will remain really really difficult: either tcheschisches network or, if at all times, very bad german network to no front desk. (eplus network didn't work at all, telekom and Vodafone are ok) and the phone is for phone calls outside the hotel also not to be used, since broken. Good the hotel can now nothing but nevertheless. And if wi-fi in the lobby offered (1 Euro per hour) then it should ... be but more than 0.49 mbps functioning; think, that you can get in a 4 star hotel.
And something else: if you have a family planning a ski vacation should also a couple more own ügel bring your own; not many available and are missing chop on the wall to hang. read more

I was now the 2. time dar. So far i could i never imagine christmas not at home, but the hotel has over the christmas days really tried this nice to make-christmas tree, flu, mulled wine, live Nikolaus, live christmas music, guides hikes and carriage rides. It was once again comfortable, quiet and delicious. Yes it is somewhat outdated, but get it its charm. The furnishing in bavarian idyllic location. Style pleases me and makes it 'cosy'. The most important thing is, that you can relax, it was clean and you get full. For me everything. We are planning now ... already again christmas 2013 to spend there. Thank you read more

A ageing, but equipment and ambience, luxurious hotel. A place to feel comfortable.
The kitchen switches rare, but the offer is so varied, that even for 2 weeks stay ok. Is.
With the all inclusive offer it would be to be, if alcohol-free beer included would be.
The value for money is unbeatable good.
The music in the bar area could be a bit noisy, in order to mood to leave, even if no live music is present.

The hotel is massive. The first impression is great-but the closer look, you can tell, that the hotel already is somewhat older. A little paint can work wonders. There are carpet in the dining room definitely not great. read more

Especially mrs w. from the reception had a very rough and rude dealing with guests with questions. All agreements had to be asked about.
The food is very one-sided-one musszum example only pasta or potatoes or constantly turkeys curry already like.
It is partially very worn and carelessly equipped.
If the hotel is full, are big parts of the staff overstrained. read more

O the outside:
Exterior appearance was very pleasantly. Excitement so large!
O desk
Lady was friendly, but curt. Information about the hotel?! - itself is the man.
O course to the room:
Cups, glasses in the hallway (on the way back was still at the same place) decorate the aberration
To the room. Tip: switch good emboss lights go after short from!
O room:
Room is friendly and simply furnished. On closer view, is the carpet very dirty. Stains were partly with stain removers treated, thus saw the carpet but still dirty from. The walls were estimated 15 years not ... more painted. The upholstery on the chairs should not just be taken. But the best part was the bed - hotel must be urgently with massage be booked, since one otherwise 3 days stay not more neglected. I like ' feathers' slept. Only that the feathers of federkerns were!
O spa:
Children's pool was on the first day not heated - on the 2. day already.
The spintschlüssel must at the front desk for 10 €in/out privileges. Unfortunately, this only when the locker in the locker room. So with swimsuits up into the room (2 floors), over to the front desk (felt 1000 meters and other 2 floors) and then back -15 minutes later we could a locker occupied!
Massage room could occasionally be cleaned! I was the first at 9:00 o'clock in the morning and could but the hair color the customer before on the floor see.
O food:
Food was really good. Rich buffet with a good choice of salads and desserts.
Breakfast with a very a wide choice of all possible. Breakfast juice must however be paid.
Our summary: we will not stay there again.
