The staff at the front desk with the exception of a coworker very unfriendly.
The staff in the dining room came with difficulties not more to it, even here, like everywhere else in Iceland, in the summer months only with pupils and students were working on it. So no specialized staff. Tables were not cleared or mopped, the buffet was mostly empty and was only filled very slowly.
The room was very dirty-but at the second glance. The glass sheet out from behind the bathtub was apparently never cleaned, the mirror were partly dirty, as well as the window.
The ... location of the hotel but makes up for a lot. read more

A traumdesignhotel in cool Reykjavik. The airport bus stops right in front of the door, as he will pick you up a from. The rezeptionsperosnal is very good informed and helpful. We have very nice islandtouren participated, on recommendation from the hotel. Furthermore one lives in the middle of the center, the night life begins on the doorstep. Bars, restaurants, restaurants but also fast food outlets are in 30 meters distance. We will be back! read more

Great hotel, ideal for city breaks to Iceland / Reykjavik. Very central, good service. Does not have its own car park, 24 hour parking is but only about 2 minutes walk. Decor and cleanliness of the rooms were perfect satisfaction. However, the rooms are not overly large, but definitely enough because the whole day anyway. We would recommend the hotel and will surely book again. read more

The hotel is in the best location. All the sights of Reykjavik are fast and within walking distance. It is almost at the end of the thingholtsstraeti 3-5 corner Bankastraeti, just before this to Laugavegur, Reykjavik's main shopping street. From the outside, the hotel made a modest, unobtrusive purist impression. You enter the hotel, but this impression not be confirmed. The name designer hotel is the truth, every detail is integrated consider the picture. The lobby seemed a little fussy ( they make up about 40-50 impression) All the staff were very helpful, incl. room cleaning lady communication was, as ... in Iceland ususal, English excellent and perfectly possible. The room was quite small, but cozy filed. The furnishings are cool design and color and clear, which was wonderful to Island symbolically considered fit and positive has to be considered. Safe was available free of charge, LCD TV ( no international channels) also. Shower and bathroom were fully functional. The breakfast was fresh fruit (melon, pineapple, banana, orange etc. ), Croissants, toast, locals shares ( Skyr etc. ) and the usual Frühstücksanteile offered and can be described as a sufficient. dining room seemed a little dark, tables were not cleared quickly, but didn't really bother. For a Reykjavik-stay is the cente hotel Thingholt if you don't want to do without luxury especially well suitable. read more
