The hotel was great! The service excellent, extra wishes were fulfilled immediately. All friendly and attentive. Room new and clean! Food and drinks as a large selection and very tasty! Even 2 theme restaurants ( grill and asia). Everything just great!
The beach is about 7 minute walk (partly over steps, however ok). Excellent for swimming and hiking! Good bus connection around the corner! Faro you should have seen!
Definitely worth a trip. read more

We were in 2012 even 2 times in this hotel and definitely not the last time. Super great hotel with very pleasant staff and very good hotel management and very competent TUI -travel agency. The hotel is from the cellar to the roof really clean, all from the staff are the everything clean and tidy is. As well as the entertainment team great, always friendly and pleasant they make a really great entertainment and great shows. I can only say we see us again. read more

After we two years ago not so great experiences in the guarana made, what we wanted this year even try. For the weather can in the hotel nobody something, however this hotel is unfortunately not on a couple of days rain on piece laid out. The possibilities for recreation in the hotel are very limited and the area does not load to stay a while in the rain a. The restaurant with fully occupied however still the charm a train station and the quality of the dishes varies quite. The evening entertainment in our experience even this time not convinced. ... It is me, why you a large hotel in the evening with a bar ones left. It is crowded in the entertainment bar and that is more than horrible. We could not with the 'draught' cocktails make friends. The hotel is really ausschl. Aimed at the masses and it shows in every corner and end. The specialty restaurant is not the pleasure, as there are, in fact, that is, what in the main restaurant already overdone and overcooked was, just in a smaller selection and something comfortable. The rooms are more or less fine, however the planning of the bathroom better. Bidet and toilet are very close together and through the walls and the utensils quite cramped. We felt unfortunately not comfortable. It is a shame, because it is really a piece really great coast. But we will definitely not return. read more

- eating and drinking was always tasty. We enjoyed the theme restaurants especially good pleased.
- the entire staff are very friendly and helpful.
- the massages were very good ( for example a massage 30 minutes 30 Euro)
- A lan -cable you can at the front desk for a deposit of 5 €rent, towels 10 € deposit.
- mattresses are very hard. You can a soft edition order. This helps a bit.
- almost half the room are north side (no minute sun). In ... the big heat may be good, but so in the late season would be some rays have been nice. When booking so be careful.
- we had the whole 2 weeks a rental car ( best already in Germany book). There is many beautiful things to see. But the verkehrsbeschilderung leaves a lot to be desired. read more

The hotel RIU Guarana is overall a really good all-inclusive hotel.
Unpleasant surprises does not exist. The location of the hotel above the cliffs of Algarve particularly to the experience, when you a room with a view of the sea (to the pool area) and in the upper two floors for a dream view to enjoy can. For this also worth it a charge. Good service and good cleanliness round the overall impression from. With the rather large, well-equipped rooms we were very satisfied.

Especially great we found, that we after a short consultation at the front desk, cushions on the mattresses got, because the beds too hard were. Afterwards we slept wonderful. The staff were always nor very friendly and obliging, although it end of the season was. For which we want to again sincerely thank you. The choice of food was very rich and always of a very good quality. A praise to the kitchen staff.
Because we a car had rented, we can animation not say much, but the evening shows were entertaining.
The only small drawback were the lots of ... stairs to the beach, the for families with small children and people with a handicap a bit hard. But below if you at the beach arrived, one for the small strain 1000 times rewarded. We would at any time book the hotel again. read more

I had with my mother a very nice holiday, although we only vereinzelnen days a little sunshine wanted. The hotel is great. What you from its free time power, am to everyone against to leave. The entertainers offer daily sports and (almost) every evening there was a great show of which.
I have no large to complain about and will RIU Guarana definitely again visit.
However I found it quite unfortunately, that wi-fi-access subject to a charge was. But it has its good sides no internet to have. read more

The RIU Guarana is isolated but really recommendable.
The staff is biggest trouble and the food i found very varied.
The pool area is absolutely sufficient.
Unfortunately the hotel is a little out of the way to the city Albufeira.
I think as a beach holiday and family vacation very recommendable. read more

Despite the size of the hotel it was not overcrowded. It was at any time of the day possible, loungers by the pool to find. Furthermore we were positively surprised, as friendly all of the staff are, anyway the staff already a long vacation season with many holidaymakers behind itself.
We will sure come back spend a vacation in this hotel. read more

The complex is really nice and always clean.
You should know however that the beach approximately 5 to 10 minutes away.
For me was the however not a problem because the path is easy to manage.
Directly next to it is the Riu Palace and the Playa de Cucharas.
All three hotels use the same beach. The way 6 kilometer long and is beautiful.
Our travel time was the September. The temperature was always at 29 to 31 degrees.
Apart from that were all very friendly and the possibilities for outings are great ( for example a day on the ... boat or trip to Lissabon).

In September we were 2 weeks in the Club Hotel Riu Guarana and had a very good stay.
Should be emphasized the friendliness of all of the staff, in all areas.
We found the food good and varied, also here you were always around cleanliness concerned.
The whole area is very well-kept.
The hotel isn't right next to beach, the sea is but easily accessible via a short on foot
( circa 10 minutes and 100 steps) to reach.

Very clean hotel with friendly staff. The food could have been better. There is seven days a week the same cafeteria food. The themes evenings are laughable as the food remains the same and only a plate more on the buffet stands. The theme restaurants can one forget. The early breakfast for excursion participants and departing is an insult of the customers. A sort of sausage a sort of cheese and bread from the day before. L read more

The hotel offers very much entertainment and leisure activities. The complex is really nice with foreign and innenschwimmbereich. The majority of the guests stay for 2 weeks, some do-as we were-longer. The hotel is for 1400 people. Cleanliness definitely top. We had all-inclusive, what especially for the bar area with the a lot of drinks and cocktails was.
The guest structure during our stay was 40% germans, further 40% british, then spanish, Poland, belgians, french, dutch. A few portuguese gave it also. The spanish will especially over the weekend. read more

massenbunker, 500 room, all inclusive, guest structure: about 80% English, rest German, french and dutch; age structure: 60 + (about 70%) and young families.
With rain no encouraged in the hotel area for all tourist possible!

Nice hotel, great service! The staff are very friendly. The animation is not too obtrusive. The beach is in 5 to 10 minutes over stairs, which with hot weather of course is a bit of a pain. For this is the beach however great! In the city itself there's not much happening, for that you had in the next place drive, taxi or bus. The time now in September we really liked, because it by the pool was not so full, there were always enough loungers available. read more

Already on the pictures of the hotel to see is a relatively new hotel with mainly a zentralbau. There are a further building, where the triple room are accommodated. The rooms have the typical Riu size and are simply, but sufficient equipped.
The hotel complex is relatively restrained. Much more than on the pictures of the hotel there are really not, because the hotel between the Riu Palace and the main street 'crushed' is. My holiday was the clientele mostly in the spectrum 55-60 upwards. read more

The hotel isn't with the Riu Club hotels in Mexico and the Karibik comparable. There is one rather disappointed, as different Riu can be. The food is nothing special varied and the quality of the meat partly bad. The drinks are all concentrates-no taste experience, but partially an impertinence. No fresh juice and Omelettzubereitung for breakfast - a great shame!
The visit of the specialty restaurant is worthwhile not. No operation and the Asia-selections a joke ( spaghetti with pork and little soy sauce is finished the Asiamenü plus potato wedges with SESAME). The grill restaurant is wonderful, you get ... the Kotlettseite without bones (afternoons, there was the durchschnittene Kotlettseite with bone) than filet and steak frites than rump steak sold-finished is the culinary delight.
The chairs by the pool to 80% all broken, on demand we were told, that the end of the season to go and you next year be exchanged-helped us a great.
The children's playground includes 1 slide, 2 swing and 2 small appliances accommodated in the basement before the Riu country. It has the charm - a Brennpunktbezirkes in the city. The Kinderbeteung in the Riu country was nice but the children were rather themselves. The children's animation freed rather the tables with stinky Solvent from the Farbresten and was up busy, because it is the end of the season against-we had another idea of child care.
The noise the street is also in the rooms to the pool side-if you peace would like to, is in the wrong place here.
The majority of the guests came from England and Germany, the remainder divides on the other Nations. Come at the weekend extended families from Portugal and Spain, then it was quite noisy and crowded.
We will not stay at this hotel again, because there are clearly better clubs for the same amount. read more
