The smeraldo is a typical beach/beach hotel of the last century, with outdated architecture. the standard double rooms are accordingly small and poorly furnished. They are however very clean, bright and renovated. Whoever pure luxury, large living space and great view is important, you should early for a superior room on the top floor, that only for a relatively tight extra charge is available. the breakfast buffet is good, varied and diverse, as well as the lunch and dinner (very good: no buffet-crowd! You can at the breakfast for the lunch and dinner between three different 3-course menus decide) just ... be honest: who eats in Italy already in the hotel? the clientele was mixed, from old to young, much German, Austrians and Italians. People from Eastern Europe I have never seen anything like it. Probably too expensive. read more

    The big plus of the hotel is its location: on a quiet street in Lignano Riviera/Pineta location, only 5 minutes to the beach, set in a fragrant pine grove (mixed with the sea air and evenings with crickets chirp simply dreamlike) restaurants, bars, options for shopping or walk in the evening are within a few minutes easy to reach on foot (hotel Pineta). who wants to make party, should the bus after Sabbiadoro(about 10 to 15 minutes) take, there are clubs and discos, as well as a large pedestrian precinct with classic shopping mile to shop.

It has been nothing had improved greatly 20 years on the Adriatic! Also, which is now at Hotel Smeraldo renovated and "clean" is the attitude still dismissive. The constant, for example.
