We booked the hotel Best Western cantur Gran Canaria at the end of a cruise from 15-02-13 until 18-02-13 over the mountains and sea. On arrival in the hotel had to the arriving guests your heavy bags to to the front desk itself the stairs haul up, although a kofferlift was available, because the remained out of order. The room 314, the canadian who had his lies, was very noisy, we had the feeling, as we would directly on the street nächtigen. The room was quite clean, but bothered us one of the pillars, the right on the right bed ... the movement restricted. The bathroom was not up to the standard of a 4 star hotel, as the soap dispenser had its best times already behind itself. This soap dispenser were filthy, neglected and were very probably never cleaned. The shower itself was neglected and had everywhere mould.
We booked half board, that means breakfast and dinner.
The breakfast was in buffet form presented. Who from the breakfast not expecting much, was in the hotel right. The tables were very spartan set, only with a napkin and a knife and fork and without table cloth.
The dinner was exactly like the breakfast in buffet form, without set tables only with napkin and a knife and fork. The offered food was always cold or lukewarm.
The guests complaints, but the service staff understood only train station. On 3. evening, oh as a miracle, the food was at once warm. The kitchen, that means the offered dishes were not at all the quality a 4 star hotel.
With these pictures, with the the hotel Best Western cantur Gran Canaria advertises, dont match the reality. read more

Great location on canteras beach. Lots of restaurants and local in the immediate area.
Breakfast okay, breads not too great.
Pool a bit small and cool. In the winter not so inviting.
Room tidy, view just on the upper floors nice. read more

The hotel Cantur is about 50 meters from the beach and 10 minutes footpath from the bus station of Santa Catalina,.
In the room you can tell, that in a best Western hotel lives. Everything is available, but best Western and 4*erwartet. The breakfast did not taste us. There is coffee from the automat and juices from the automat. The' cold' breakfast was not to our taste. The warm we didn't try it out. We stayed before and after our Aida trip in the hotel used and it is recommendable. read more

We were already several times in this hotel, it has always very good loved it. So we wanted a suite have. There were however different things not as they should be, files in the closets very dusty, lights in the closets with closed cupboard door not too (which also after complaint not been corrected or the attempt by the technician failed). We had always breakfast, the very good is, also this time. We decided this time also to evening to eat, however only once. Such a bad buffet i'have experienced a long time, very little choice, the warm buffet completely ... cold and completely tasteless. Map gave it not at all, the atmosphere in the restaurant equal to a waiting area, unattentive service rounded then the evening. For us feast, hotel, dinner definitely not! Because this buffet cost still 20 euros, there was iceberg lettuce, tomato, corn, tuna and onions, no cold cuts or marinated salads, from salad dressings, we need not at all only talk. Directly at the beach, is the best Western hotel. It is newly renovated and the rooms are not worn. The breakfast tastes and is adequate. For a beautiful Las Palmas stay very recommendable. The much more expensive Cristina is also nearby. read more
