Hotel Sawridge^{(3.5 stars)}

We had two rooms with a connecting door-very good large beds (4 ) everything was very clean, and the decor maintained. The bathroom was very clean, a bit small but everything available.

We only visited the breakfast restaurant,. The buffet was well arranged, undrinkable we wonder how you everything so bad job (eggs, bacon, pancakes) the plates all guests always went almost completely back!

We were very lucky, we received a very friendly welcome. The staff has accompanied us to the rooms, the connecting door unlocked and gave us a clatter of air conditioning immediately. The rooms were perfectly cleaned. all toiletries were available. My husband had to send documents on the company, the front desk asked him everything necessary.

It was everything as described. The activities around Jasper will all offered by the hotel's very own entertainment team.

The hotel was located on the outskirts of Jasper, a bit of a walk from the town center. As it is on a side street it was very quiet. The guest structure, many Canadians, Europeans as everywhere in Canada many Asians. Very impressed with the lobby - there was also a Kaminraum has Holzfällerfeeling like you would expect from a Canadian lodge!

Although it is located on the outskirts of the town, everything is by car (has stayed here every one) very easy to reach. Jasper was despite peak season a sleepy place the you know recite in one day. The excursions in the area were a must!

The room was a good size, through the two beds but not particularly spacious. The furniture was a bit old, but basically in good condition. The bathroom is very small, I really can't work together. The technology is for example. Also a little dated (e.g. B. TV), but fully functional. Our room had a constant air conditioning because of their cold air we complained (see above). I don't know if this is in all of the rooms, but in the night, this was not only unnecessary noisy, but also fresh and is therefore extremely disturbing. We had a window that opened but only inside the hotel overlooking the pool.

The service of the hotel is with any other hotel in Canada to compare. It was noticeable at different places, a bad or unfriendly service I've rarely experienced in other countries. First at the check-in desk not a very friendly or welcoming word lost and there is no information for anything (e.g. B. Internet services, meals or so) told. When leaving the hotel was already a bit better, it was at least (almost reluctantly) a nice onward journey. Another gripe arose from a complaint. In our room was constantly running a ventilation, the only cold air blowing. The wanted we turn it off, but it was not possible. After complaints to the reception (the only consulted and did not have commented), was said it repaired. What's happening is never a bit. And also in other - It has to be admitted unnecessary asking - was a bit stupid and quite unfriendly response. Only the maid always greeted friendly and the rooms were cleaned properly. Further services except for the free internet we didn't use it.

The hotel has a good-sized pool and a fitness room. But we didn't use it. Apparently the booking of certain day trips through the hotel sometimes a little bit save (approx. 10 %), but we didn't use them. The internet worked well.

The hotel is located at the far end of Jasper, this place is very manageable, but you don't really care where you're placed. The hotel makes a good impression from the outside and the lobby looks like a ski or maybe even Jagdhotel (a stuffed Grauwolf is available in the lobby). Overall the hotel has 3 floors and many rooms have a window in the courtyard (covered) of the hotel, the restaurant and the pool are. Breakfast and other meals in the integrated restaurants and lounges can be taken. The guest structure was very mixed, mostly Canadians or other English-speaking tourists.

In fact any location in the town was just as good, as everything was overlookable and almost is within walking distance. In town there are at least two supermarkets and a variety of other sports stores and of course some restaurants. The central We were thrilled are of course all winter sports, but also walks and for example. The malignant Canyon that in both summer and winter (Icewalk) attraction. In the immediate area around the hotel has a restaurant (Utopia), the all three meals and cheaper than the hotel's restaurant. We were there only once for breakfast which was alright and priced okay. It is also right next to the hotel a gas station.
