Hotel Mercure Salzburg City^{(4 stars)}

In the large and whole was our stay ok. From Mercure but i'm used to better. The room is nicely furnished and clean. At the check-in you had to the receptionist all information from pulling teeth. The lobby is simply and simply held. The hotel façade makes a right down come impression. In the hotel is possible 2 lifts available one was the entire stay decommissioned. Thus was long waiting periods pre-programmed. The staircase is poor signage. It was also not possible after 14 o'clock a good coffee in the hotel to get. Since the bar at 16 o'clock opens. ... And the restaurant at 14 o'clock closes. In the room stands a kettle available with bag but this was unfortunately more inedible. Positive is close proximity to centre. 10 minutes walk to the center. I thoughout business anyway. Particularly the food, friendly service the complete staff and the peace and quiet in the room i very much enjoyed. Also free internet access for me was very convenient. The hotel is not too big and therefore seemed quite cozy. Definitely recommendable! read more

The hotel is located somewhat away of the center, however on foot one is in 10 minutes in the town. The furnishings and size of the room are a normal city hotel. The staff were very nice and helpful, read more

Hotel with international audience. For Salzburg of course. Extremely friendly ladies at the reception. The advertised bar is not really a hotel bar, as you would expect ( weak light, bar ), but a simple closets in the middle of the hellbeleuchteten restaurant. Our room went on the parkplatzseite, where the coaches parked. Very unpleasantly loud, if the chauffeurs at 7 o'clock in the morning a eternity long the motor on the beach running and you like something a bit sleep in would like. Great value for money for a hotel in the city (thanks to online booking via hrs). ... On foot you can reach the touristic pedestrian precinct in circa 10 minutes away by foot, at the same time is one of the main station. It is reasonable, that one for a price of 50, -per person/ night not the same offer expect as for Euro 200,-p. P. / night. But what I from all four star hotel expect can, is cleanliness. And this absolutely not. Especially the cleanliness in the bathroom was a disgrace: hair from the previous guests, indefinable dirt on many places, under the air dried ceiling of the baths one could Schimmelnester see, Spritzwassereste to the doors etc. Also in the rest of the room there were everywhere dust to discover. Housekeeping was limited to the beds. A complaint did ... not effect. Furthermore is the hotel restaurant not recommendable. On the whole there is this hotel nothing to moan about. Rooms are very nice and spacious, as well as the bathroom. What I didn't like was that there during dinner eternally lasted and only a waiter for the whole dining room was responsible. We booked this hotel for our short break in Salzburg selected, as the situation in 15 minutes walk to the city center and any means of transport needs. It is a business hotel. Ideal for business travelers, but not for families. Double room was very small, but modern decor. Bathroom was very minimal. Modern Furniture, satellite TV- Wsserkocher with instant coffee and tea bags. Safety deposit box available, but not fixed, but easy to carry out.
