We (two couple) were 8. nights at the melia las americas.
The rooms in our category had a bedroom, bathroom with bathtub and toilet, a closet and d living room. The rooms were with two tv, two air-conditioning devices and a large fridge equipped. The cleaning worked daily pristine and unobtrusive. It was general very clean.
The food (breakfast, lunch, dinner) in the large dining room was always very extensive and very good. Several stations with chefs, the selected ingredients freshly prepare, for example pasta. Fish and meat, eggs, etc., do their jobs very well. From the thememredtauranrs we only ... japanese tested. It wasn't bad but also nothing special. In the themenrestauranrs one receives general difficult places. You have to reserve and they are usually already two days before full. But with the offer at the buffet is it light sword. Also the all day available snacks are good.
Gezränke and above all cocktails are low through the bank really good. Like almost everywhere in Cuba is the coffee bottom drawer.
The service is not bad. You can probably with more tip to accelerate, as the from the canadians, the 90% of the guests bodies, are used. We have rather poor tip and nevertheless always everything get, even if sometimes a couple of minutes lasted longer.
The beach is clean and very nice. The loungers are comfortable. Nearby the beach bar it through music and the entertainment program already sometimes noisy, but it didn't bother us. You can also extends put aside, if it didn't bother.
The sea is very nice. The sand is free of mussels, etc. If there was a stormy is, depends on quickly the red flag outside and the lifeguards leave no more into the water, what with high waves unfortunately is. It is windstil, resembles the sea a pool. The real pool was therefore rarely used. He is rather shallow and little exciting, but serves the purpose as salt-free cooling.
All in all the hotel is recommendable. We would definitely again again, if we to Varadero should be. read more

Am in the hotel after a round trip landed. If you're looking for peace and quiet and wants to bathe, a good beach and great service the is here in any case correct. The food is okay, for cuban standards very good. There is theme restaurants where one must announce oneself before, these should still much better than the buffet. For Cuba-standards a very good hotel. The complex, embedded in a very well-kept 18 -hole-golf course is somewhat older, but well maintained. The choice of food more than enough and good, drinks with original goods prepared. The staff always friendly. The beach is great and there were always enough sunbeds and shade available. 5 minutes away, is a shopping center where you things the lack, shopping. A very good and clean hotel with good rooms, very good food, good beach. At the beach and at the evenings in the bars daily live music. All together you can only recommend. The hotel is outwardly ageing, despite all a beautiful complex with a beautiful broad beach, enough umbrellas and loungers, several pools and a garden area.
The beach is daily cleared away ( loungers provided, garbage bin emptied ), however one must especially at the weekend to prepare, that the security (the what?) generous, if locals ( especially Young people) in the border area loungers documents and the a or other time the beach bar serve.
The room was a full size hotel room, so nothing special lots of space and the bathtub/ shower was easy in need of renovation ( ... booked Premiumroom ).
For the food you have to flexible are, whether the Speisenangebots, with spices is very poor, and mostly are the dishes cold. The staff are too many very friendly, especially with a small grant.
The animation was very hard, culturally very much was offered, lunch at the beach a band, evenings Piano music in the lobby, live music in the bar, evening agenda in the theater and always with very dedicated and well-trained players.
Altogether corresponds the hotel rather not in a five star hotel to German standard, if one with certain restrictions good can arrange, you will nevertheless a very relaxing and relaxing vacation spend. read more

The hotel is already somewhat outdated, however is everywhere very very clean. The proximity to the beach is simply great. The food and the cocktails were top and very varied. The catamaran-trip and subsequent swimming with dolphins is very recommendable. The extra charge for small groups is only 8 SFR so instead of 50 persons 8 persons on board. And only 8 persons with the dolphins swimming,. We had despite rainy season an excellent vacation, since it if at all only evenings or rained at night. read more

We had a wonderful vacation in this hotel. It was everything very clean. The eating and drinking was varied and good, and we have not even all restaurants use it. The beach we found just amazing, quiet, clean and the sea nice and warm, the excursions interesting. Our room was always clean and tidy cleaned. The sea and the beach are very nice, in any case enough pool chairs with sun screens, without reserve to have.

We were on honeymoon and had actually a double room booked, but a Bungalowsuite get! We a double room and this is sufficient, but the bungalow is much bigger. In addition with a terrace, living room and two flat-screen TVs. The service was great, only sometimes one wanted us in the buffet restaurant not operate, I find that a great shame in such a hotel! Just amazing!
We were for the first time on Cuba and the hotel is simple recommendable. The rooms and the bathroom are very clean. The mini bar was refilled daily. The beach was located in a bay. But is simply dreamlike. The hotel has a dining room, in the a rich choice to eat find. Also there are 4 theme restaurants, which one 1 time per stay ( reserve with) can visit. All restaurants are delicious, but it Italian restaurant most liked. Around the hour you can in the bar in the lobby snacks get, which was very good. The ... hotel features also with a 8.5 kilometer long and beautiful laid out golf course (18 hole). All of the staff at the hotel was always very friendly. In the dining room is in some table fields the service to desire, which US however did not bother us. Of course you must also say, that the complete staff over 1 CUC tip looking forward, what you of course not constantly must be. The hotel has a large offer at cocktails. If you're not so much alcohol in his cocktail like, it should say, because the handling of alcohol is very generous-)
Approximately 10 minutes on foot from the hotel there is a station for the so-called Hop on hop off bus, as well as a shopping center with plenty of souvenir shops.
The room should on the day of departure until 12 o'clock be vacated, however you have the possibility to for 7-8 CUC per hour the room to extend. The hotel represents however also a room for showers before departure free available.

An ageing hotel, in need of renovation. Buffet restaurant not recommendable, dirty tables,
Food quite boring and without spices. We stayed several times in the theme restaurants, were much better. The staff at the bars is very lazy, chat rather than to serve. Would prefer for each drinks we put a CUC, which too many the Canadians too done have. The immediate area is boring, from midnight is in the hotel nothing more loosely. The golf course is for Cuban standards very expensive (80 CUC ). The excursions the organizers are overpriced, prefer a car rent, because the Cuban scenery ... is
Very nice and streets one can there anyway not quickly drive.
In short: Once Cuba enough> 11 hours flight and 4000. 00 Euro is Cuba not worth. read more

The hotel is situated in a large garden directly on the beautiful sandy beach. The whole complex and the beach are very clean and tidy. My room was large, always very clean and in good condition. The furnishing was nicely bright and new. Despite the size of the hotel there was a pleasant and relaxing atmosphere. The staff were always very nice and friendly.
The food variety is varied and good. In the morning there is a large selection of fruit which always freshly cut will. Only drawback for me was the partly extremely dirty tablecloths both for breakfast, as ... well as during dinner, as they do not often changed, and then the crumbs and stains the predecessor to his plate. This is not in my opinion in a hotel this category.
There is free towels and sufficient sun screens and chairs on the beach. The beach was located in a bay, so that no extensive beach walks. You have to the neighboring hotel walk around. In the other direction was the golf course, thus comes one also not far. Around the complex around does not exist much, apart from a small shopping center but nothing special is. Altogether I have as a single person a very nice vacation with all facilities of an all inclusive-vacation experienced. With few excursions amongst others to Havanna, Trinidad, in the Bay of Pigs, the island of Cayo Blanco and a concert of the Buena Vista social club pepped up, I can this hotel with a clear conscience recommend. Only Lack for me personally, that some employee of the serving staff guests, which are not directly with a tip wave, mostly' overlooked' the consequence for me, that I had this people noticed and it for three weeks no tip received. There have ... some still do not understand, that only a good service and attention opposite the guest on this lead. This statement can of course not on the whole staff download! A instruction for travellers with a cell phone and prepaid contract: before knowledgeable, whether the provider at Cuba the room support. My card worked unfortunately not, so that neither a cell phone -telephone call still another text message to Germany were possible. As a replacement had then half an hour computer reservation for 5 CUC ( circa 4,20 Euro) for an e-mail is. The call minutes from the landline from Cuba to Germany costs approximately exactly much per minute! Immediately again! The hotel is pleasantly quiet, since the access to the hotel only from 18 years is permitted. Therefore no children in the hotel.

We have the stay a very nice and relaxing feel. The eternal Gemäckere of other
Guests we can't understand. The staff were normally always very concerned and without
Tip always very friendly. The buffet restaurant was always clean and tidy, also the tables.
We were always accommodating and served long waiting periods at the table to drink etc. There were none
