Excellent Location for Skiers

The hotel is situated seconds from the slopes. It is perfect if you are a skier as the distance is minimal. The hotel provides ski equipment storage at the onsite stores which is also very convenient. My biggest impression of the hotel was that everyone was genuinely nice and tried their best, although at times it was not enough. We managed to get a reservation on points before the massive Hilton devaluation last year and thus we had a relatively good deal. I'm not sure that it is worth to stay on point at the new rate. Our reservation was ... comprised of several reservations put together, which proved to be a problem at check-in as my gold status was not recognized (i.e., free breakfast). It took some time and effort to get this remedied. read hotel review

The room was functionalץ We were at a junior suite with kitchen at the south tower. I am not sure what classify the room as junior suite as it was really was a regular room with kitchenette. There was no fireplace or balcony in the room. No room upgrade was offered (as a gold member) which was a minor disappointment. But as we were around the Chinese new year and staying on points I am not really surprised.

  • Gastronomy

Breakfast was included and was the typical Hilton buffet affair. Nothing specially good, nothing specially bad. All in all as expected. The buffet include hot and cold items as well as eggs to order if required. I was happy breakfast was included as I'm not sure I would have paid the $55 for two for this breakfast. Service was good and personable throughout. By the second day the waiters already know our preferences and most of the time were proactive.

As I said everyone were really nice and tried their best. That said there were several services hick-ups. Starting with not recognizing my gold status at check-in and taking some time and effort to provide the gold benefits. Usually around 3-4 in the afternoon we needed to hunt the cleaning staff to come and clean the room, which they did quickly and willingly, but I could have done without the reminder. At check-out the wrong credit card was on the reservation (again a side-effect of the combination of reservations which was requested and noted months before our arrival). The hotel include guest laundry, sauna, indoor and out door hot tubs.

The hotel is literally one of the last one in the village before the slopes which is very convenient if you are a skier. On the other hand being at the edge of the village means walking everywhere else which can be a very long and very cold walk when the weather is below freezing. There are plenty of restaurants and shops in the village and we never felt compelled to go elsewhere.

The hotel makes a good impression, it seemed up-to-date and clean. The hotel lies excellent in the center of whistler, everything is within easy reachable. The service we cannot judge, since all our travel guide took over. The breakfast was attractive. Fresh croissants, muffins, toasts and fruit. The rooms were clean and large. The furnishing is good and the bathroom is big enough. read hotel review

The hotel made a bit shabby impression. In our room had only once the wallpaper on the wall by a coworker of the hotel be adhered. Also a luggage rack was missing, but on demand delivered. As soon as you the hotel through the back entrance left, one is immediately in a nice small pedestrian precinct, in which you in small shops, bars and restaurants well can hang out. So one must only the night in the hotel spend. The breakfast was OK. , reminded however a little bit of a cafeteria. For passing-through OK. read hotel review

Super location, right next to the gondolas to dreamlike winter sports region. In the pedestrian precinct with lots of bars and good restaurants. the rooms with the particular Open room card. as I was traveling with a large group, has the tour operator taken out, the room card when leaving the hotel on the desk located. the room was in very good condition, clean and had a bright decor. It was equipped with a king bed with four pillows, two chests of drawers, each with a bedside lamp, telephone and Funkwecker, a sitting area (table with two chairs), a desk with chair, desk lamp, internet connection and telephone, a TV cabinet with flat screen-TV (american and Canadian channels), a built-in cupboard, in the suitcase, the ironing board, the iron, 10 hangers, spare pillows andbed, Safety deposit box, fire extinguishers and two bathrobes stayed. there were different garbage bin on waste separation and a air conditioning. also had the room a fully equipped Kitchenette( fridge, dishwasher, Stove, microwave, kettle, coffee machine, Toaster, cutlery and dishes, ice container, cooking pots and even spatula a cheese grater and). the bath had a bathtub with integrated jacuzzi (cleaning) and shower, was commodious and adapted to the needs (lighted make-up mirror, towels, Bath mat, hair dryer, cosmetictowels, shampoo, Conditionner, mouthwash, shower gel, soap). The mountings were well-kept. Outlets were everywhere in the room and at the desk lamp. Please note, that Canada is an other Electricity system than for example Germany. Cost for available additional water: 3.50 $/ liter the upper room was achieved by one of four lifts. the room hallways were rustic, but very attractive. the competence of the staff I ground floor the flower hotel border (see photos) and had no balcony. There was but also rooms with balcony and views of the nearby environment. The window could be opened.

The breakfast was in the hotel's own restaurant served. After at the buffet and had a place booked, the waiter asked, what you wanted to drink. Choose from different kinds of tea and juice, coffee and milk. You will be received drinks in shortest time. for breakfast there were different sorts of cereals with raisins and dried fruit, fresh fruit ( melons, apples, Pears, fruit salad) with different types of yoghurt, toast with cream cheese (Philadelphia), as well as Pastries. The food was anytime again filled and the staff cleared and left tables quite quickly. furthermore there was a bar and a pub with pool tables, where you put a nice end to the evening we could leave.

The entrance area, besides the front desk, the reply was always occupied and all our questions in English and French, a hotel safe, a currency exchange and four elevators (North/ south tower). Furthermore offers the hotel conference facilities. The wake-up service worked perfect. the hotel also offers a bicycle rental bicycles and bicycle storage. the room and the bath were cleaned every day. Because the hotels in Canada would like to show, that you also to the environment, the towels only changed, if one put them in the bathtub located has. from the staff there is actually not much to see, but at the bars and in the breakfast and there were all very friendly and helpful. Check-in and check-out, as well as to pay the room I can't say anything, since I was traveling with a large group and the tour operator this has taken over.
