I just love this hotel. Near everything, you really get to enjoy "la movida" de Madrid. This hotel has everything, mini bar, wi-fi, air conditioning, and the pool on the roof is just amazing, with refreshed water and wonderful view of the city. Some of the rooms on the 8th floor have balconies with incredible view. The staff in great, hotel is clean.... I can't wait to go back. read more

We would for 1a circa 6 nights anytime again senator book. Great location located on Gran Vía, large tastefully renovated room, very clean. Really only point of criticism: the third bed was a smaller Murphy bed and we had despite demand not a full blanket for this bed receive, but only blankets (the Madrid temperatures at the time at night at about 5 degrees). We had room number 506. read more

The hotel lies in the center from Madrid. With the arrival and departure from the airport to the hotel we metro used. I was 2 days in advance at the hotel about taxi and metro asked, have metro elected. The first 2 days, we have the sight seeing buses, afterwards all interesting places still time on foot explored. The hotel was perfect for this perfect. In the perimeter of 30 minutes all important sights are reachable on foot. Madrid is worth a trip. Only with the weather we miscalculated. Madrid in April was ice-cold, ( during the day between 7 ... and 14 Degrees) and always a cold wind. read more

The hotel seemed from the outside very ornate. This sight is in the lobby not completely continued, however is covered inner courtyard and the glass lifts according to the elegant style Madrid's.
Straight the rooms the upper floors offer a beautiful view on the main Madrid's, the Gran Vía! The hotel is great convenient, especially in shopping, eating and drinking subject.
The rooms are right spantanisch furnished, however completely reasonable! Also cleanliness not too short, only kalkränder in the bath tub are here to criticize.
It is located a metro station directly in front of the entrance of the hotel ..., but as superfluous if, as in the great location everything is reachable on foot.
The breakfast the Senator Gran Vía is for Spanish standards very varied. The only thing you won't find, is an egg! The breakfast room is in the lower part of the hotel and seemed very inviting.
I would this hotel in any case recommend it! For a city break it is because of the location super! read more

The four star hotel 'Senator Gran via' in Madrid is located directly at the 6-lane main street and the adjoining shopping arcade. These were for until late very busy. Sleep while having the windows open is not possible. The window are however very well insulated. We had a view of the road. There is no rooms in the back area of the hotel. All rooms go either to the street or for passage.
The breakfast was although every day right but also freshly. It was always for replenishment. You can also fresh Omelets (with different ingredients). But must the communication ... but Spanish or with hands and feet show. English is in the service staff only little pronounced. Different at the front desk. They speak good English and also German.
The location of the hotel is to be described as very good. You could reach everything in the city center good on foot. The city tours only 2 minutes away from hotel and tickets for that were available directly in front of the hotel at the kiosk. Is also in front of the hotel an underground station (metro). So you are in 20 minutes at the airport or in the theme park in the South-West of the city. read more

Friendly, clean, pleasant, bountiful breakfast and, especially, best location in the center, only few minutes on foot the major museums, interesting places and all the pub in the old town. Metro station in front of the house, airport shuttle bus only 5 minutes' walk. A ideal hotel for a city break, which I only recommend can. read more

When we first arrived we were told, that it has a problem. It has not reserved a room for two nights, but two rooms for one night. Now I should clarify the phone! Fortunately, I had booked directly with the hotel online. The written confirmation I had too. After laborious negotiations, we were more than a half hour wait at the counter standing in the rooms (no refreshment etc.!). So far, no sound came of apology! The terrace at the pool is more like renovation! sbedürftig. The floor of the balcony was very dirty. For the balcony furniture was ... missing cushions. The bathroom is in dire need of immediate vicinity are new, the furniture should be renewed! Only the ground is probably newly occupied with laminate. The breakfast buffet is average, the location in the basement without any windows but not nice. positive is the great location right next to the metro and the city. This, however, it is also very loud. Sleep with the windows open is impossible! Maximum three stars! read more

The Hotel Senator Gran Via is the perfect Hotel while visiting Madrid.
The rooms are spacious and clean, very comfortable beds and a choice of pillows, free in room mini-bar, stereo cd player, in room safe box. many rooms have small balconies so that you can enjoy the views along the Gran Via.
The bathrooms are spaciuous and always clean, good lighting, great towels.
The reception staff always remember me, and could not be more courteous and helpful. Guests are very international and of all ages. It is a safe hotel with an excellent security staff. read more

The hotel senator Gran via lies only few going minutes of the Plaza Puerta del Sol. Most objects of interest of the city center are attainable from here to foot well. Directly before the hotel is besides the underground station Gran via. The central situation does not however only have positive sides. Thus available ladies look for customers in direct proximity of the hotel. The hotel building works from the outside quite splendidly. This continues inside not completely, elegantly and maintained however always is it. A Hingucker are the gläsernen elevators at the walls of the inner court. One had ... quartered me first into a smoker room - there are two smoker floors. The immediate change was not a problem, and turned out as stroke of luck. Because I got a room in the respected floor with own roof terrace and view over the city. The room was not largely however sufficiently, likewise the bath. With the guests it predominantly concerned city travelers, pairs and small groups. The breakfast was varied and from good quality. read more

I booked this hotel Senator with a friend and it was for us girls occupied the perfect starting point for our sight seeing through Madrid. There were mostly business travelers and couples. We had booked bed / breakfast and to the good breakfasts so filling food that it stopped until mid-afternoon: O). The metro station just in front of our hotel and there is for the "emergency" a McDonalds. However, the locale different The one corner go to the Gran Via with its many hotels, restaurants, theaters and Nobelgeschäften and around the other in the pedestrian area in which the ... ladies of the horizontal crafts with the matching bars and Klamottengeschäften. It didn't bother us and we felt safe at night as much as people on the roads. All famous sights and Shoppinggeschäfte district, etc. Are very good on foot or by metro. I would definitely recommend the hotel and 100 % of the sister hotel further up the Gran Via (spa hotel) prefer. read more

This was my second stay in Madrid. As I said optimal for a short city break. Whilst the hotel all of possibilities for excursions. The breakfast at the hotel was also very delicious and perfectly adequate. The rooms were very nicely furnished and also fulfilled their purpose. We had visited the city for a football game and I must say that the hotel is just so much better than the game. A visit to the stadium but well worth it. As we have a well-known in Madrid lives always mobility problems to the public transport system I can't say much ... in the city. For shopping but I would not personally go back to Madrid flies, as I Berlin a bit better in comparison. Unfortunately you have to say that the cost of living in Madrid or Spain are quite high in the past few years and have become more expensive. This was confirmed the good friends. Madrid is a huge city and always worth a trip. read more
