Was very disappointed after my stay. Shower has in every direction injected. Tap leaked. Therefore has the room from a bit musty smell. Breakfast room crowded, no free table. Adjoining was not opened on request. Not recommendable! read more

' - the agate Plaza Kulmbach I have, if I now to both questions exactly can give information. The beautiful and cared for four star hotel, quiet and literally right on the Stadtpark located, has a modern architecture and a pleasant atmosphere. Impressed us especially the generous child policy of the hotel, but also the extensive and quality of high quality breakfast buffet and-last but not least! - the consistently friendly service: with a lot of sensitivity and imagination are ... there just for not -people on business trip and tourists kind ' pakete' laced have been, so that the short breaks the agony of the choice between the very famous plassenburg, the three museums accommodates ( the tin figure museum near busy a whole family also a rainy day) or feast Kronach ( in the hometown of Lukas Cranach) or dampflokmuseum in neuenmarkt (what father and son). Bayreuth is also not far and its many castles, parks and museums, also wunsiedel is worth a visit ( for example the hike the luisenburg rock labyrinth). Who evenings tired legs has, can in the hotel-restaurant Dolce Vita food and afterwards with a genuine eku ' kulminator ' (malt liquor 11%) relaxation. We were there for 3 days and had the steam locomotive in weekend. Everything was already gutvvorbereitet, tickets for the train everything was great. The hotel lies on Stadtpark, the city, and to the train station one can everything well to foot. Also the castle is worth seeing. We were still in the beer museum, unfortunately was just no schaubrauen. The breakfast was great tasty everything beautifully freshly prepared and something of everything. The staff were also very friendly and helpful. In the room it was a bit chilly and the air conditioning hummed. read more

We had at short notice 1 night and found the hotel and the front desk outwardly very appealing and modern. One was welcomed friendly and could also equal into the room. The hotel is about 5 minutes away from the city center
The double room was spacious with mini bar and 1 bottle of water free!
The bathroom had a heat lamp in a shower wonderful warmed. Only drawback was the unpleasant, outdated shower head
We had the half board and got evenings a tasty rich 3-course menu
The breakfast buffet had everything you from a four star hotel expected ... -fresh juice, scrambled egg, selection of rolls, jam, cheese, sausage etc. Everything super!

Pleasant middle class hotel, with which one not by the 4 stars too much expect. Nevertheless great value for money, if you for example to the Bayreuth festivals travels. In a half hour one is at the Festival hall.
The rooms are rather simple (but functional and clean) furnished (a armchair or a couch was missing in our room - what actually standard in a four star hotel is). The bathroom is quite small-but also clean.
The breakfast buffet is adequate and plentiful, but not plush (costs 10 Euro). read more

It was all ok. If i the next time tickets for the festival in Bayreuth get, i gladly again. The green hills is just a tight half an hour away and the prices are significantly appropriate as comparable hotels in Bayreuth.
Apart from that maybe not the most beautiful hotel the world: everything quite simply, everything a bit shabby, the mountings should be replaced.
But the staff are friendly, you get late after the idea still a small something food and also the breakfast is ok. Not more, however also not less! read more

We (5 friendly couple/ motor biker) these were year to 4. times for a extended weekend at the AGATE -hotel and for the next year we have already again an extended weekend-already says a lot!
We once again very good. Friendly, clean, enough big room, the windows were this time at the back to the city park, very quiet for the location! The staff friendly, competent, and accommodating - as always.
The breakfast buffet very extensive and variedleft nothing to be desired! This time we had a 3-course menu booked - delicious! It all simply came together! Better does not ... go it nearly!
Free parking, 10 minutes footpath to city center/ shopping area, any quantity sights in the perimeter of about 30 to 40 kilometer.
The Agate -hotel in Kulmbach we can recommend without hesitation!

We had a couple of nice days with friends for 2. Mal spent in this hotel. It is very recommendable, if castles and fortresses interested. The Plassenburg is very worth seeing, as well as the feasts
Kronach with the related historical town. The breakfast in the hotel is very delicious addressed.
For us only downside, was a group East Europeans the very noisy at the trip there and back were, therefore the rooms are on the entrance area definitely not recommendable nonetheless. read more

A stadtnahes hotel with enough parking spaces. For us base for the Schlössertour ( but also Raft trips... ). The reception at the front desk was friendly and very good prepared. Even the sign was already completed. The room was quiet for park and was clean. The breakfast buffet was high quality and extensive.

Nice hotel within walking distance to city center.
The hotel lies on a small park, through the one in the city center walking distance. In this park is also a children's playground.
Sufficient free parking in front of the house.
Breakfast matched the usual 4-star standard and was good.

We have a weekend at the AGATE hotel and were completely contented. All staff this house were friendly and willing to help. Our room was large and clean. The breakfast buffet was varied and very good quality. Also was constantly refilled. Many free hotel parking you can car left and on foot in the city center head. We can recommend a visit the Plessenburg, where you amongst others in an interesting management can participate. Since the area Kulmbachs still a lot has to offer, we will definitely once again at the AGATE hotel Kulmbach book a room. read more

We stayed for a weekend at the hotel. Our family room was very large and with large tv, coffee maker, minibar and safe. The bathroom was very small and the shower was a catastrophe-totally out of date and hot water only if you cold likes. In the room and bathroom was clean. The heating on the air conditioning to taxes, which is very noisy and not warms. It was freezing in the room. For breakfast there was a large selection and everything is very well prepared. The staff are very friendly and attentive. We ate in the first evening in ... the restaurant of the hotel and were the only guests. Our son ordered a pizza and got a frozen pizza. Oh Well. read more

Safe was missing unfortunately, wireless is a real point of criticism! In any other hotel there is the completely free of charge. Here you can get per day 480 minutes and I could not exploit, three times and then no more log login. I would have been here as a business traveller, it would have given a message.
But this exceptionally friendly staff throughout the house, one can forget any criticism. A special praise to the cleaning staff!
I know many hotels and I really failed, but everything was perfect! Respect! Senseo coffee maker in the room is great. All ... in all, I will certainly book here often! read more

The Agate hotel in Kulmbach gives a spacious, almost luxurious impression and radiates in marktbreit almost somewhat unexpectedly Großstädtisches from.

An ideal starting point for excursions in the area! Quiet location and yet centrally located and is walking distance to the city center in a few minutes!

For a 4-star hotel, we were a bit disappointed by the breakfast buffet. As we have stayed in 3-star hotels in nicer and tigers breakfast...
But a " well-kept Hotel "!

We (5 pairs) this year for the third time for a weekend at the Achat hotel and for next year already booked to go back-this time four nights and twelve people. We feel in this clean, beautiful hotel with friendly staff and the quiet location at the city park was great.
Also Kulmbach itself, and the area left no time for boredom.
