A beautiful hotel away from the hustle and bustle on a long lonely beach section.
Here you can the sound really good get away from it all and enjoy the vacation.
Good also the 'shops' (food and massage) the locals at the beach directly next to the hotel.

The 13. time in Thailand, the 1. time in Khao Lak - and not for the last time. A very nice hotel complex, at an incredibly secluded beach (for how long?). Especially early in the morning at low tide right down 3 kilometer beach walk without a people, the you at this luxurious standard hardly in Thailand. Why so many customers here in the forum about the hotel nörgeln, i don't know-like the home is located? It is clear, that these climatic conditions here and there bit patina recognized is. We had (and book in other hotels always ) a ... room at the top, near to the beach. Very nice. The beach restaurants are almost all recommended. Authentic and very good (andaman restaurant especially!)
The only downside for us, the hotel was very average with families with several infants-noise! But also here applied, the you could very good out of the way go. All in all, if you want to night life and action do, quite isolated and to a certain grundluxus do not want to do without, is here at jw Marriott in good hands. read more

Pool access should be considered in detail.
The rooms with 1. Starting have no steps from the pool.
So 1.50 meters high jump around from the pool to come!
At night is the pool however a dream. 3000 meters pool almost alone and 28 degrees.
Food and drinks in the hotel are expensive (german prices), but in the bars at the beach tasty, tasty and cheap. Best at the beach turn left at the first restaurant ' phen restaurant'. An extensive map, very delicious and very friendly service. About 22 hours also. Because at 22 o'clock is at the ... beach and in the hotel end of workday. read more

We were for the first time in this hotel and were very satisfied. The hotel is whole one very well maintained facilities. The area is wonderful and the beautiful beach is a delight. You can take long walks. The only thing which annoying are the vacationers the already at 6 o'clock mornings the loungers reserve and then only at noon to get there. The breakfast buffet is can't be beat. It is more than ample and a very good quality. The staff is very attentive and friendly but for the whole hotel.
At night we were always next to the ... hotel in the small restaurants at the beach eat. The food was very tasty and cheap. We liked so much, the evening right next to the sea and a great atmosphere has.
We will definitely come back again. It were very nice and relaxing days. read more

A beautiful area with very friendly service and spacious rooms.
We were six nights in this hotel and had a pool access rooms.
In the all in all is the entire area very well maintained, if you looked more closely, one saw however here and there some dated places. Whether this lack of care or a general humidity problem is, we could not judge.
Nevertheless we felt really good and all very friendly staff the stay in addition very pleasant made. The pool access room we found very nice, since you didn't think long had, whether you with bag and ... baggage to the pool or not. Although the privatsphäre including a little, but we soon got used to us.
Overall the hotel was very good, especially of families. In spite of the lots of children, it was in the hotel complex, in the restaurants, as well as at the beach very quiet and you the young guests hardly noticed. The (big) guests were very pleasant and not noticeable.
In the hotel we were only once at the japanese food. The quality of the food was alright, the service above average attentive. The value for money is of course not with local restaurants comparable. The beach restaurants are all good, whereby with täw son and the blue mist tasted best and the service there was the friendliest.
A drawback was the housekeeping. Our room was always only at 13 o'clock cleaned and constantly forget, a bit up (shower gel, vanitykit, towels, etc.) Used glasses got neither replaced nor cleaned and the bed linen was instead of three only after four days.
Overall, this was but a very nice and relaxing vacation and we would book the hotel again. read more

We spent two weeks in the Marriott, it was a relaxing vacation. The best is, of course the pool. We have stayed lots of hotels in the world visited, but this was unbeatable. Also worth mentioning is the beach, wonderfully suitable for walks.
What we didn't like so much was an indian wedding, the for three days almost the whole hotel hijacked has.
Overall, the Marriott very recommendable. read more

We were with our 2 weeks holiday very satisfied in Marriott. After a week round trip with meiers through northern thailand (nord Thailand with golden triangle) we were looking for relaxation and peace and found. Travellers, the value on large leisure offer put, would in the hotel rather bored. However, we were as mentioned completely contented.
Here in these are the most important facts:
Hotel
- hotel of the luxury class (especially for Thailand), well maintained and very clean
- great beach and a stunning pool area
- family friendly, but also suitable for silence searchers
- very friendly staff ...
Leisure
- very few leisure-time facilities (no entertainment, etc.)
- sports and classes for (not insignificant) an additional cost, except for billiards, table tennis, Tennis, Volleyball (if one enough takers and possibly a own ball thereby)
- very noble and great spa, however not used, absolutely overpriced. Thai and other massages at the beach are absolutely recommendable, thai massage costs for example 300 Bhat. Tip at the beach to the left, the furthest massage 'salon' has from 9 to 12 o'clock 'happy hour'.
- little excursion possibilities. In front of the hotel there is a very small supermarket with the most necessary things, but very expensive. Drive with the shuttle direction Khao Lak center costs per person and tour 100 Bhat (=circa 2,50 Euro).
Dining
- breakfast was very extensive and very good quality, something for every taste. Freshly baked bread, live cooking (for example omelettes, crepes, etc.).
- restaurants in the hotel (both, as well as drinks) totally overpriced, iced water at the beach free of charge.
- small restaurants at the beach (we recommend especially tew son and andaman) very recommendable, but nevertheless slightly more expensive than normal in Thailand (for example 100-120 Bhat for a main course + 20 Bhat rice, 30 Bhat soft drinks, 50-80 Bhat for the beer) read more

We were there for 5 days in this hotel. All in all we were happy, there were however some disturbing factors for us. The condition of the hotel i would (still) as good, but there are some places, the for example new paint, new tile or other repairs quite stand may. The huge pool area is well maintained, although here and there not everything brand new is. The sunbeds at the pool and beach were very comfortable with thick cushions. We have at any time of the day free chairs received. The annoying habit of reserving we could 't watch. ... One gets bath-towels at the beach against the towel cards. There are several shops in the hotel, as always at inflated prices. In the basement of the hotel there are two atm, and a small 'clinic', which daily from 10:00 until 18:00 is open. Over our room we can both positive, as well as negative reports. The size it was pleasant and spacious, as well as the size of the bathroom. It was the mirror over reading lamp, iron and ironing board, safe, coffee and tea station and so on. Everything available, what you from a star hotel expected. The beds were comfortable, in the closets, there was enough storage space and enough clothes hangers. The air conditioning was very effective and still pleasantly quiet. What we didn't like was the lack of cleanliness, as already mentioned in some other reviews mentioned. The room service should really a bit more thoroughly and more effective. I find it not nice me in a newly obtained room with the inheritances of my predecessors to address to have. Also hanging on our closet huge cobwebs, which theoretically not to be overlooked. Convenient but unfortunately already. Here could the hotel m. m. After still improve significantly. Just as we condemn the condition of the bathroom. With little effort you could at least the worst mold in the corners the shower remove. This would the bathroom just around a lot to enhance. The double sinks in the bathroom is through a dark wood slab separated, which is very under the water has suffered. Design technic seen certainly a nice touch, the combination with beige stone and dark wood. For a sink but totally inappropriate here, and with the time unfortunately more than unpleasant has become. Now i should like to say something about our experiences in the various restaurants reports.
Breakfast at the waterfront on the first glance was very wide choice offered. On the 2. view but i have to say, that the motto quantity instead of quality. We have in other hotels far better breakfast buffet can enjoy. This told us personally not so. Freshly mixed smoothies but were really good. Dinner in the olive: we have twice ate. Once à la carte and the italian evening (buffet). Both tasted good for us, but it was not exceptional. You were quickly and courteously. One evening played a really good band, these gave the restaurant a special atmosphere. Dinner at sakura: we had high expectations and were therefore disappointed. We visited the sakura at the buffet-evening. In various evaluations the restaurant highly praised, what i after the visit not understand. The meat was much too long fried, dry and tasteless. The fish and also of poor quality. The fried vegetables were already cold and mushy. Positive: also here quick and friendly service. The highlight of the visit was clearly the green tea ice cream. Maybe the conditions differently if à la carte menu. We loved it here this evening at least not to our liking. Dinner at ta krai: here we were with the food completely happy. The red entencurry (very hot!) Was really a poem. As well as the fried banana with kokoseis for dessert. It lacks a little on the service: we had our drinks, as well as later on the bill each 30 minutes waited. During full utilization of the restaurant i would say anything against it, but except our was only 5 other tables occupied. Deli cafe in the basement of the hotel: here we only had ice cream and smoothies consumed. But you could also snacks, toast, salads, bagels and so on. Get. Here you were also quickly and served in a friendly manner. Ice is Mövenpick and tasted accordingly good-cost 140 Bhat per ball. The deli cafe are both postcards, as well as stamps available. At the cash after the brands questions. For all of the above restaurants except the deli cafe is explicitly a reservation for dinner desired.
In summary, i the hotel good four stars would give it. Some organizers (for example meiers and TUI) there is a premium -hotel's offers. This is, i believe, a little high. Also the hotel i find too expensive for the quality. Or to put it another way: 5 stars -4 stars. Nevertheless i am a recommendation from, as we -as already mentioned above- basically were satisfied. read more

We have already been for the 3. time in this nice hotel. Particularly the great pool area, which by the whole complex winds, like us very. Unfortunately were while we were there nearly only families with up to three children in the hotel. But if you know, that 3 children up to 6 years in the room inclusive breakfast are free, you understand. One has tried at the beach a section for guests from 12 years to make, however, if nobody stops it little. Also you could be in this hotel great a wing with rooms for couples and the ... other part for families. The resortmanager tried their best, to couples to meet, it is however still a lot to do, until the also worked.
We will certainly bear in mind, in fact we want to like to come again, but something more peace would be important for us. read more

We have a great week here and would have gladly extended. Unfortunately the hotel was fully booked.
The location directly at the great beach is of course the highlight. Very long beach walks, sometimes without someone to meet, are not rarity. For us the nicest patch of beach in Khao Lak.
Cleanliness is capitalised, a new color paint here and there could still be made.
The various restaurants with the theme nights are very stimmungsvol. Left and right at the beach there were enough small huts with delicious thai food. For change is provided.
Very recommendable. read more

We were thrilled by our stay. The hotel keeps it's promise and even a mood! Giant pool, the biggest i've ever seen because it on the entire area extends, great beach, not too many tourists, everything was clean. In between were free drinks at the beach distributed. It was very much value on the well-being of the guests put. Food was great, %blank% breakfast, as well as dinner. The hotel has tennis courts, a great gym and louder employment possibilities.
A special highlight was the comfortable room which directly at the pool is, therefore, one of its own terrace direct ... in the pool jump, simply great.
Definitely again! read more

The resort is still perfect. Very quiet location. Great long and clean beach. Particularly beautiful are the pool access rooms. The surcharge was it definitely worth. Breakfast was excellent-everything from bircher muesli, parma ham to fresh smoothies and crepes-large terrace. Well trained staff. Great but an upmarket spa on the complex. Alternatively very good massage at the beach when lee laa in private bambuspavilions. Lovely beach restaurants, the much cheaper than in the hotel. Especially recommendable is tew son, i had to prepare my masaman curry in the small stand with us was.
Guest structure: very high standard, internationally mixed. ... Mostly asians, families with children also babies, business travelers.
Tip for golfers:
Tablamu navy course 20 Euro green fee and caddy at sportsdays monday and thursday ( qualitätszustand is just average. Layout nice hard, is located directly by the sea. As variety but quite reasonable, if one with besserlegen.)
A weltklasseplatz in kao sok nationalpark on rajapraha dam. Ride about 2 hours easy to combine with a trip to the lake. At the golf course there is a responding vip hotel. Green fees in the week 25 Euro and caddy. Weekend 35 Euro. read more

Good hotel directly at the long, beautiful sandy beach. The buildings are in the large pool area embedded and in the thai syle designed. We were with all completely contented.
We had a family room with a direct access a sidearm of the pool. The room was big and very clean. It offered enough space for two adults and two children (3 and 6 years).
The breakfast buffet is spectacular and offers everything what you could wish for. The staff speaks reasonable english and is exceedingly friendly (in particular to the children). Afternoons and evenings we didn't in one of ... the three restaurants in the hotel eaten (european prices), but in one of the beach restaurants. These are not only significantly cheaper, but also offer authentic thai food. And the ambience is unsurpassed (food directly at the beach with your feet in the sand).
The only thing, that me a little annoyed us was the behaviour of certain guests. So were from 08:00 a. m. many couches with towels were reserved. Simply only embarrassing! For once it was not, however, the british and german, which is a fight and the best places offered, but the scandinavian. Furthermore, some guests times their dress sense for breakfast question. Bathing suits, bikinis and barefoot are unappetizing. read more

This surcharge is worthwhile definitely. Breakfast is brilliant. For dinner we used however also kostengünden the many good beach restaurants. The hotel is simple perfect!
We can absolutely for quiescentlooking for good. It is a very spacious area with many individual two-story or a few three-story buildings. By the size of the area, the huge pool and the beach you noticed but hardly the many guests. For our stay was the complex about 90% booked, you however only for breakfast notice. I have a lot times in the morning asked, where all the people came from. The types of people are international and very nice mixed. Americans, canadians, chinese, australian, french, russians and german. Everything was very discreet and quiet ... guests, some with children - no Nation or is us misbehaving. In the hotel there are also european staff/manager. Perhaps a reason why everything so wonderful smoothly and without any complaint worked well.

The hotel is very tidy and clean, the garden is huge and beautiful. The employees are very hard this big hotel clean to keep. Daily one sees it in cutting plants, in the weeds, lawn mowing. The gigantic pool extends through the whole hotel area. The water temperature is very pleasant ( not too warm and not too cold). During our travels (october/november) were many koreans, chinese, and of course many germans to visit. The the most guests were over 30 years. Young people there were only a few. read more
