The Riu is located in the 3101 collins road and back will be charged at the beach from Miami. The distance to the airport is approximately 15 minutes. The hotel is no longer new, but to be renovated some time ago. One has many corners shortcomings seen, they got me but, it did not bother us. The public areas were all clean. We booked overnight stay with breakfast and were thrilled by the breakfast. There was everything that your heart could desire. In the hotel were mostly german guests. For a paartage, as with us the hotel is completely adequate ... but not 14 days spend my vacation want. For us it was ok then on a cruise and it was a great beginning of the vacation. read more

    Well the rooms. As described above probably newly renovated. For a few days definitely alright. But more also not. The bathroom was already very outdated and was unfortunately not renovated as well what is a real shame. But it was very old and shabby. Unfortunately with shower curtain and the shower head had already better days had. The beds were very big and also comfortable.

    We have only booked breakfast and i found it really good. It was very wide choice and also tasted really alright. You could omelet make let, good choice of fruit. One really nothing negative say. The cleanliness was also good. And sometimes that is really not just when i see what most people for a pigsty host at the buffet. Otherwise we in the hotel didn't use it as we were out.

    Friendliness at reception alright. In the restaurant are the employees not so on the ball, as you had to times longer for its coffee wait or plates even dispose of. Found but also the too few were there, it was probably because of the fact. But otherwise very friendly. Room cleaning was for us also okay. The rooms are probably newly renovated. But unfortunately the bathrooms not, these are ancient and seemed due to its always a bit dirty.

    Excursions could be great book in the hotel, there, there are a nice cuban with the election helps. The price was also not more expensive than other providers, which i on the internet found. From the hotel right at the beach along to ocean's drive walk. There one finds enough bars and restaurants where you eating and drinking can. Unfortunately not very cheap. Is however times very pleasant to look at. It also constantly buses in front of the hotel with which you simply everything for example Lincoln Road. The location itself i think not so prickelend. However as a starting point for various activities provided completely okay. The price is the Riu not too expensive, if you the prices of the other hotels in the area looked at so. The hotel itself was somewhat outdated now, but a solid impression. It was not too big, scarcely 300 rooms and always clean. We had our stay only booked breakfast, what definitely the better choice was, since a dinner in the hotel converted circa 25,00 Euro per person costs. Fyi, the more taxes, tips and drinks. In the lobby you have the possibility to the wifi for 90 minutes on the day/device free to use, the 90 minutes limit however to go around, in which you from-and new again logs in. We personally found the wireless internet limits not very ... bad, because we are on vacation were. Internet i have enough home. In the hotel there is a gift shop, a restaurant, a lobby bar and a gym. The hotel has furthermore has a fresh water swimming pool, a children's swimming pool and a pool bar. The types of people are mixed. Many germans and americans, dutch, french and spanish. From young to old everything for everyone. Please note: we had at the time two building sites in the neighborhood. A directly next to the hotel (kernsanierung and exterior work) and 2 blocks away (complete a new building)! One gets accustomed however fast to the construction noise. read more

    The rooms were big enough, very clean and newly renovated. The furniture seemed however already a bit shabby, but a lot of storage space. Our beds, 2 queen beds, were comfortable. To room amenities included a flatscreen tv, a small coffee machine, a fridge, an ironing board and iron, a telephone and a safe, which is not very trustworthy looked. Apart from the safety deposit box was to summarize good condition. The air conditioning did their service and otherwise could one still the ceiling fan hinzuschalten. The bathroom had a good size, was clean (we could no mold discover), equipped with a bath with a shower. The shower head pointed out no calcification on. Furthermore were from the own soaps, shampoos and bodylotions is required. These were continually replenished. A high-powered hair dryer is also in the inventory. We missed a make-up mirror. This is the only negative, what the bathroom is concerned. All in all the room was completely fine, there were drawbacks but for the missing balcony. You get only, if you have a sea view.

    As mentioned above, the hotel has a restaurant, where also the breakfast is served and a lobby bar and a pool bar. For dinner unfortunately we can't write, since we preferred our dinner outside eaten. However, there are different theme nights, on which always something else prepared (for example american or mexican evening). The breakfast was excellent. Especially for american standards. Here you got everything your heart desires. Rolls, different types of bread, croissants, toast, cookies, cakes, small pastries, different kinds of sausage and cheese, jams, Nutella, salads, fresh fruits, yogurt, quark, cereal, cornflakes, milk rice, fresh pancakes, crunchy bacon, fresh omelets (also to put together), sausage, breaded escalope of turkey, salmon and krebsfleisch, as well as apple and orange juice, milk, coffee and tea, what from very friendly staff in thermos jugs to the table brought. The atmosphere was in spite of the size of the restaurant and number of guests rather quiet and decent. Tips were not required and a tip-box we didn't see. At the pool bar you can from midday until 18:00 o'clock snacks such as pizza (10.50 $for a Margarita +1,00 $ for any further ingredient), pasta for 8.50 $, burgers, hot dogs, salads, and cocktails from 6.50 $to. The cocktails were for security reasons served in plastic cups. The prices understand, of course, exclusive taxes and tips. All the food one could also pack and for example with to the room take. All dining areas were very hygienic and clean.

    The staff in the hotel, apart from some at the front desk, were very nice and dedicated. Usual languages of the staff were mainly spanish and english. One or another spoke times a few words of german. The cleaning of the rooms went without a problem. The towels could every day to be changed. Our bed sheets were also every time changed by the room cleaning service. General has the cleaning staff a great job and had always a friendly 'hello' on the lips. In the hotel was also a repair service team, and unsolicited asked, whether the showers alright are. Was this informed, you were not addressed. The handling of complaints was immediately noted and it was also immediately undertaken. So we had on the day of arrival a already sandwich by room assigned. On demand, there is, we immediately a new room received.

    If you great leisure offers and animation searches, is here completely wrong place. Also in vain an on-site disco.     The location of the hotel is almost perfect. The beach is quasi right on the doorstep. Separately it is only through a 'boardwalk' from wood. One goes through the garden and pool area of the hotel direct to the beach. An iron door, which from the outside only with the room card open, stops unwanted visitors away. The airport is good 15-20 kilometer away from the hotel. Running time by car/taxi is however good 40 minutes depending on traffic. Aircraft noise is hardly to be heard, despite entry lane. The shopping, night life and restaurant is unfortunately somewhat limited. You will find in the immediate area however, a mini-supermarket, a gift shop, a ' liqour -store' and a handful of restaurants. However, the 'Lincoln Road mall ' on foot in 15-20 minutes and the Ocean Drive in 30-35 minutes on foot. A bus stop is directly in front of the hotel respectively a street further. Depending on the direction in which you want. A ride cost about 2.00 $to book. There is however also season tickets to purchase. Since we a car had, we know not the prices. A problem is the parking. If you from the hotel offered, expensive, valet parking (20,00 $ per day) didn't want to use, in the next to streets a parking lot search. If you find it, pay 1.00 $per hour at the time from 8:00 until 18:00 o'clock. Afterwards the free parking. Search is worthwhile so.

We lived in this hotel 3 nights before the beginning our cruise. The rate of around 200 Euro is totally unreasonable for this outdated, worn rooms. The 'safe' is almost worth seeing-as the einbrecherherz. The bathroom is on the state of the 70. years. Carpet and furniture have seen thousands of guests on the embossment. The staff is very friendly, almost everybody speaks german. The beach is fantastic, also the promenade very nice. Otherwise, it is a very dead corner and you must always with the bus go for example for shopping, reasonable dining etc. Conclusion for this price you ... can Miami much better live. read more

After we on our floridareise from Key West and a romantic hotel lived in, we were from the huge concrete slabs anblickmäßig not thrilled. But that was before already known. Miami Beach is, what the hotel architecture is concerned, very gloomy, concrete slabs on concrete slabs. No green oases. On the adjoining islands it looks but very nice from. The beach was but very wide, the water clear and warm. Beach chairs one can book. The hotel is already a bit older, however the rooms are renovated and in lilatönen furnished and big enough. The bathroom is for 4 star ... rating to unpleasant. The pool is beautifully curvy and in a small garden plant installed, which at the most Resorts along the boring seafront surprisingly is not given. In this hotel there is a breakfast and dinner in a wide variety of choice and it also tasted good. read more

A not quite young anymore yet good hotel. We were the cleanliness and the friendliness very satisfied. Kostenlses wi-fi only 90 minutes every day, the could be better! Unfortunately only expensive valet parking. Restaurant good. read more

We have the hotel as voraufenthalt for 4 nights for our subsequent cruise. The hotel makes outwardly and inside a good impression. The room (sea view with a balcony) was spacious and cozily furnished (hair dryer, iron, coffee maker, flat screen tv, 2 queen beds). Cleanliness in the room and bathroom was absolutely alright. Carpet was new and the room newly painted. We had only booked accomodation and breakfast, whereas the breakfast in buffet form no wishes open left. There was really everything! Mixed guest structure, many vacationers from Germany and many spanish speaking guests. Wi-fi available in all rooms ... ( for a fee) Wlan in the lobby for 90 minutes per day free of charge, whereas the 90 minutes in a piece of must be taken. read more

    Spacious and apparently recently renovated. New carpeting, new curtains, wännde freshly painted, flat screen tv, well working air-conditioning, ceiling fan, coffee maker, refrigerator, telephone. Cleanliness in the room and not in the bathroom to criticize The balcony was with 2 chairs and table and showed directly to the beach.

The hotel can Mia airport directly with a bus (bus 150 airport flyer, $2.35 per person) to be achieved. It saves money for the taxi. The bus drives hidden from. One must with the tram to metro rail station/rental car station The location of the hotel is quite good. Some restaurants nearby (including subways) who the art deco district from Miami Beach would like, should the bus before the hotel use. The cost per person $2.00 each way. On foot duration walk about half an hour.

A beautiful hotel, that has gotten a bit old. Is for my stay unimportant defendendo. Rather light blue, or beige tiles in the bathroom and clean and tidy, as all modern and mold in the joints. Apart the cleanliness probably the most positive impacts is the breakfast buffet (probably the best in Miami Beach) By bus 10 minutes to the art-deco district, stop on the doorstep. Beautiful pool with pool bar, also here very clean. Direct access to the beach. It was a pity that directly next to it a construction site was. However you cannot have everything. Gladly anytime ... again! read more

The hotel is not too big but comfortable. Condition of the hotel and the cleanliness from our point of view not to criticize. We had night with breakfast, but we would during the next times half board directly in front of place to book. Breakfast and dinner buffet absolutely great.     Rooms are spacious. Nicely decorated, attractive. We had two beds have ever 120 centimeter wide. Balcony on the seaside with balcony furniture completely okay. Air conditioning available and functional. Coffee maker for pads. Service every day new coffee pads. Telephone in the room. Bathroom and toilet big enough and very clean. Facilities was okay. A bit unhygienic seemed only the carpet in the room.

Super selection, reasonably priced completely okay. Versatile, very tasty, daily changing theme nights ( for example american, mexican, italian, etc.). Prices for food and drinks in the hotel appropriate for Miami. Cleaning and hygiene in the restaurant/ bar completely okay. Comfortable atmosphere and attractive.

    No disco in the house. On two evenings during our stay live band in the bar area. Was okay. Fitness room available but not used by us. Pool very nice with a big garden. Enough chairs and umbrellas. Towels for the beach and pool at the pool boy, the service was perfect and easy. Unfortunately also here the bad habbit of guests, the loungers with towels or goods before the breakfast bar. Pool boy is doing his best in order to prevent this. Showers by the pool available.

    To the beach short walk. In 30 minutes shopping, night life, Ocean Drive on foot easily accessible. Bus stop for all lines in front of the door. Good and affordable bus connection ( 2 Dollar per person without kilometer limit). Taxi from the airport to the hotel for 2 people 34 Dollar, from our point of view ok. Public transportation you should take advantage of for example drive to downtown. Really recommendable the hop on hop off bus. Tickets are available at the front desk. Stop right in front of the hotel. Drive but very early in the morning start since lots of possibilities to step out and see on the route.

The hotel was on our first day was overbooked, so we our room not move. This was not reasonable. We then had to walk circa 2 hours wait, until we a room there were, as we had ordered. read more

Hotel from the 80. years lots of small drawbacks. Last renovation seems longer ago. The first room has a rusty bath tub because of worn-out coating, after the exchange was it okay. Size of the room is good, it is view of the sea to book. Unfortunately there was on both sides of the hotel currently construction (beach Jan 13). Amongst others the hair dryer broken, from the toilettenfuss ran water, the soap dispenser was broken and the carpet stained. The complaints were reluctantly removed. Breakfast is very plentiful, you can choose to be indoors and outside breakfast. The pool ... is in the winter heated and the way to the beach close. Much trouble we had was with the waiting time the valet parking (valet parking). Waiting times from 25 minutes to the order of the day and because of the parking spot necessity if one comes around the 20 American Dollar/day service (stood Jan 13) not around. Biggest gripe is the limited wi-fi service. You had 90 minutes free in the lobby, in the room it costs, an absurdity in 2013 and the only from 6 hotels in Florida, with which we had. Altogether rather bad value for money and safe better hotels in the area. read more

    Beach is practically on the doorstep. Two beach chairs and an umbrella rich 23 Dollar. Airport in 20 to 30 minutes reachable by taxi. Bus the hotel. Shopping possibilities in the proximity (supermarket). The Lincoln Road mall 20 to 25 minutes on foot. In the surrounding area of the hotel partly unclean (worn etc.) Left and right was being built. The noise level was bearable.

Nice hotel now has gotten a bit old with mostly spanish speaking staff. Neat, tropical pool garden. Not very centrally located, about 3 kilometer from the ocean drive and 2 kilometer from the Lincoln street (shopping and food) away. Breakfast sensational, snacks at the pool bar and in the hotel good. Price for beverages for Miami-beach conditions relatively favorably. Everything very clean, no free internet on the rooms ( in the lobby 1,5 h on the day). For our joint break and beach vacation the hotel was excellent suitable, bushopping -stop right in front of the hotel. No free ... parking spaces at the hotel, parking costs 20 Dollar per day. A bit annoying were the current construction left and right from the hotel. read more

The Riu is and remains a good middle class hotel. Check-in was not friendly only, because i a non-smoker's room stock was left. After half an hour i asked again briefly and then i only processed. Should guests who are not easy to find if many germans in the hotel are, because then the american flair lost. I was allowed to then the american flair 2 times for breakfast experience. 80% americans and 20% germans near our stay. The safe fee we did not pay, maybe because we daily 2 Dollar on the bed were for the maid. The hotel ... we would for 288,00 Euro (2 nights) not more, because the was not worth it. read more

We have in this hotel already about 10 times used, generally for 3-4 days at the end of a cruise. We were always satisfied. The cleanliness of the rooms and in the dining room are very good. The breakfast buffet is simply superb. It leaves no wish unfulfilled. The building itself has gotten a bit old, but we book it again and again for a few days. (stop Riu standard) without a rental car USA for our taste not possible and necessary for all shopping possibilities (sawgrass mills, aventura mall, etc.) Easy to get to. A whole vacation we ... would not want to spend. read more
