The hotel is redecorated in 2012,the facilities all under good condition.I booked a double room and the size of the room is really small. There is only a tram stop and a bus stop near by.You have to walk aoubt 10 minutes to the subway line B colosseum station. read hotel review

Great hotel close to the Colosseum and transport

For a short break this hotel is ideal. The rooms are small but have everything you need. Bathrooms are also on the small side but perfectly adequate, clean and with a good range of toiletries. Our friends had a colosseum view room and loved it. Its a great place to base yourself to explore the city. I don't think you can get a better deal for the price in the city. The colosseo metro station is just around the corner. The rooftop bar is expensive but has a lovely view of the colosseum, staffing seemed to be a problem - ... we had to wait to be served because there were no barstaff early evening. The bar was also unstaffed during the day - we were unable to get a drink at lunchtime. The hotel does breakfast but the room looks dim and uninviting - much better to walk a few minutes and eat overlooking the colosseum (cheaper too). read hotel review

One of the few Rome's hotel with direct view on Colosseo. If you go there aks them, they are expansier, but worth the money, expecially in clear days. In summer it has a swilling pool on the roof so I guess it will be real trick drinking a cocktail in the pool looking at roman beauties. It has recently been renovated, I've been there before renovation. read hotel review

300 meters from the Colosseso good location away, close to bus/tram/metro stations. The rooms are rather small, but functional and fully equipped. The shower cubicle is very small and not ideal for big grown people. The breakfast buffet was OK, but not great. Absolutely great is the roof terrace on the 10th floor with eight open-air lounge, bar and swimming pool. Great to relax after a long day in the city! read hotel review

The location is ideal, close to the colosseo, public transport (bus, tram) stops directly in front of the house. To walk 20 minutes to Roma termini Stazione. Staff friendly and helpful. wireless internet access (for a fee) available, but unfortunately broken. Complicated room safe, to small for laptop. Air conditioning in the room was OK. Pleasant is a small swimming pool with bar on the rooftop. Way to small breakfast in the bar, rather than a large breakfast in the restaurant. read hotel review

i was with friends on the weekend in Rome, we booked unfortunately hotel Mercure Roma Delta Colosseo, it should be 4 star, and nearby the kolosseum. Okay the vicinity was OK, only the 4 stars? Eventual decades ago. The reception was OK, the hotel looked like a 70 block and doesn't fit in the surroundings of the lift is slow and you have to waiting times plan, since it also the cleaning staff used and blocked the plus is, the hotel has a rooftop terrace with pool. Drinks oK is an expensive. The hallways, awful carpet with stains. The rooms ..., the same, terrible carpet with stains, seemed unclean. The rooms are small and shabby, looks really ugly old. So for a four-star hotel a no go and I travel a lot. the bathroom an impertinence, small and old. No choice flat surfaces, the shower 1 square meter, no choice opportunity move. Toilet seat splittert, under the washbasin black edge. That staff from the breakfast starting unfriendly. On the final day we got no breakfast since punctual around 10 is closed and it was already 5 after tenth of the manager only said he could not staff therefor. No matter the breakfast it is not worth to stay, pure chaos. for a Mercure a disgrace. Can only advise against it since abzustegen, I range the word because it is a dump is. Sorry read hotel review

The hotel was the largest disappointment of my visit to Rome. we wanted to stay in the heart of the city and be booked a hotel 300m from the Coliseum. The hotel was totally overbooked. Although we booked superior room and had been paid, we were crammed into small (maximum 10qm) room. Only by dominantes occur at the reception one was ready for us the payment of 70 per room to report. This hotel, and the staff are not recommended. read hotel review

We were there for three ladies, all had a single room, which was small, but adequate. The windows in the rooms are a joke, I would say slits-a really strange construction -The room was clean and the bed was super comfy The kolosseum is about five minutes away, as well as the underground -Rome, almost exclusively on foot, except the Vatican City, should you take the underground -March was the pool was not yet filled-but it was very small. The breakfast at the Mercure, is the absolute joke, much too expensive-better to leave the hotel, about five minutes walk and ... breakfast in a café -Highly recommended is the bar, in the evening if you fixed and finished by the long walk back to the hotel, you can very well and the wine tasted! read hotel review

Room old and very worn. Shower and bathroom to small. Old water everywhere or lime edges/spritzflecken for example toothpaste the last guests. The first room what us was offered was to the backyard and out on the ground floor with view on the trash cans. Air conditioning was not adjustable and to loud. Not reasonable for the high price for a whole week and Rome. The second room on the third floor we were given only on a very long and at the reception. Facilities used! read hotel review

I was in the April two nights at the Mercure hotel, at least four star, single to 178 euro!, In Rome. passing through on business (pinned to because of the aschenwolke in Iceland). The hotel looks nice from the outside and has a really great location, inside is but below ground. I travel a lot and really know many four-star and five star hotels, but that is inside a two star hotel (room). I know not, as you have got four stars-probably because marble reception area, bar and swimming pool on the roof unbenutzbarem. The room (510)-all corridor room on ... the same size-about ten Quadartmeter. No possibility, also only reasonable to open the bags. The bed absolutely worn out-in the worst Italian we theater on the Adriatic. The carpet was stained. The furniture dated and run down. It was horrible. Next door was an American couple, the were also shocked by the so-called european four star standard. The man is in the morning woke up with Rückenproblemem. The wet room is so small, that you can't turn, the shower stall so narrow, that even as more athletic people (1.75 metres, 65 kilogram) with the soap constantly with the poor everywhere. I have already in Rome as a tourist for 60 euro lived in the hotel, the were not one whit worse read hotel review

We had booked and could a 3-Bett rooms the assigned room easy change. In the first room no window could be opened, air conditioning system available. The rooms make a worn impression, the hotel courses are worn out, the baths small. Nevertheless: The price achievement relationship is very acceptable for Rome. The breakfast offer rich, the area very soberly and somewhat too small for the size of the hotel. The staff was very helpful in all interests. The situation of the hotel is great. The Kolosseum in range of vision, bus and Tram exactly before the door and a multiplicity ... of great restaurants exactly opposite in the populated area (Capo di Africa)., Unfortunately unfortunately the roof terrace was not closed, although the weather was durably sunny and warm, there could even the nice employees anything align. read hotel review

Our room was not the largest, but in the room is one (thanks pool and Café/Bar on the roof terrace) rather rarely. But it was cleanly and properly, with air conditioning system, refrigerator and television (2 German channels) provided. And the Clou: Mini bar there were 4 bottles mineral waters in that free of charge per day. Great service!

We have the Frühstücksbuffet times used (was in the long run expensive with 15, - € per person nevertheless), there were very more delicious, with regional specialities provided it, and it was filled up also up to the conclusion. The bars (ground floor and roof terrace) were well, the coffee and the small Häppchen (fruit plate, pastry parts) really more delicious and appropriate in the price.

The roof terrace pool was unique! Swim with view of the Kolosseum. For cleanliness and order provides an extra Poolboy, which supplies one also with couch cloths.
