A hotel in London to find is never a simple venture, often reflects the price the performance was not at all against. The Lancaster Gate but a very solid choice for a reasonable price. There is also a-for british standards - good breakfast offered. The hotel was kürztlich renovated and made a very good impression. But one noticed very quickly, that you in an old piles is housed: one understood each word from the neighbor room. This is in our eyes the only fault. read more

Very nice and centrally located hotel. 2 metro stations in 5 minutes on foot reachable. Bus stop even in 2 minutes. Peacefully located, at night virtually no noise. Hotel even rather badly soundproofed however pleasant neighbors, didn't bother us.
The breakfast is for englandverhältnisse very tasty and extensively, large buffet with muesli, bread ( not only toast ), yoghurt, meat and cheese.
Room very nice and big enough as a city break not so much spend time in. Bathroom large and nice.
Excursions and shops sufficiendy in the immediate area.
In England it needs an adapter for the plug socket ..., this can also at the front desk be rented.
For bus and metro it is worth it, a oystercard to solve what any can be loaded. read more

The central, hotel is perfect for a city trip to London, is located in the Hyde Park in a beautiful area with numerous restaurants nearby, also the Portobello market is in walking distance. The rooms were for londoner of conditions largely. Not too noisy, enough water pressure in the bathroom- the bathroom was large.
The staff were very friendly and helpful, we had a problem with the safe, but within a few hours fixed was.
Excursion tip nearby: 'Little Venice' further outside on edgeware road read more

We had package. The hotel lies Conveniently located subway Lancaster Gate and Bayswater 5 minutes on foot bus station also. The Hyde park nearby. Shopping shop not far to the Queensboro road.
The room OK for the price. What was not good is the window in it was on the ground floor the courtyard in the the air conditioning the continuously. For breakfast well, European it says, toast jams a variety ham cheese that was it. Otherwise typical English. Check-in without problem. We would the hotel probably again. read more

For London a really magnificent hotel. The rooms and bathroom are a bit small, for London proportions average, but more than adequate, you're only for sleeping and showers in the room.
In the bathroom would be a shower with removable Soda rather than a bath tub with feast mounted Soda; who takes during a trip to London for a bathroom? Unfortunately, the temperature control of the water in the bathroom took some getting used to. First you had to wait some time to the water finally warm is. You want to ask the governor then only a little warmer or ... colder bodies, will the water just a lot of hot or really cold. A evenings came from our Badewannenabfluss not very clean Kanalwasser; the bathtub filled about 10 centimeters high and after about 15 minutes, as we front desk Tell wanted, ran the water luckily again from.
The rooms are really very badly soundproofed; you heard even if the neighboring rooms the light switch at the bed has been pressed. We were every evening totally exhausted in the bed, therefore it was also no real problem for
The breakfast was for London really super. Was always very quickly refilled, also always seats available, we had no time to wait. Very delicious English breakfast, the choice was really sufficient.
At the front desk was one very friendly; you have our room requirement completely fulfilled. One US on demand kindly even the on-line check in for the return flight expressed. For 1 pound you leave the luggage on the day of departure in an area at the front desk caged; very convenient.
The hotel lies exactly between 2 metro stations ( Lancaster gate, Queensway ), about 5 minutes walk to both. A few small shops ( drinks, Postcards and so on) beach chairs on the way. Perfect the location directly at Kensington Gardens/Hyde park, definitely on a sunny day a few hours take time to walk.
Other tips for London:
- London duck tour (amphibious vehicle), super tour of the town with a vehicle on land and in the water
- London eye in the evening visit: in March until 20:30 open; first is the view evenings terrific, second one must not line up.
- Tickets and subway-Tickets on offices. London. De order; ship has perfectly within a few days of Germany after Austria function and one does not everywhere eternally for tickets; very good description the attractions and sights on this page
- Indian food ( for example Masala area, station Oxford circus, 9 Marshall St): the Indians in London are extremely friendly, super delicious food; we were also the afternoon tea when a Indians, delicious specialty appetizers to great Teekreationen (Chor bizarre, station green park, 16 Albemarle street ); not recommendable are the Chinese, we are quite busy
- Porter house Brewing company (station Covent garden, 21-22 maiden ln. London WC2E 7 na): really cool bar with delicious relatively cheap cocktails and live music read more

The hotel has a great location, is however unfortunately getting a bit old. At night you can hear again at any time the 'knock' the Warmwasserleitung. The staff at the reception are very friendly and professional, room check in and check-out smooth. Waiting time at the lifts, very annoying, though the building four piece has, there is always beat it... read more

A beautiful hotel for a few days. The hotel lies between two metro stations which was cyberspeed everywhere go anywhere. The location is so ideal for cities or shoppingvacations. The rooms are clean and properly equipped. Solely Satellite TV was Missing. Service, breakfast are good. Cons there is for lack of parking spaces. Car must for a crazy price some streets further parked will. After one the whole day the feet flat walk has you would like to in the evening eventual or other German Channels can. Unfortunately Nil Return. I have never experienced something like that. Would nevertheless like ... to come again. read more
