Hotel Hochriegel^{(4 stars)}

We had a double room type lusen, according to the catalog about 24 square meters large. I was really extremely positively surprised. I had mentioned above that the hotel from the outside rather rustic works, just as it is in the hallway to the rooms. This is very dark, the wood of the doors this hardly something after, the lighting is low and you are almost in a Austria-thriller. But: as soon as you the room enters, that changes dramatically. Our room is complete with light wood designed, on classic but attractive art. The corner bench with a table was a real highlight, as these wonderfully comfortable and also for (flat) tv too was, that you both read, as well as television could. In the room there were 2 large closets, so that you can really all clothes and all shoes safeguarded. Very convenient: a long heating with hakenleiste, so did easy wet bathrobes or jackets in the twinkling. The bathroom was definitely not large, but modern and functional. The towel radiators had several 'poor' so that also gloves and bathing suits to fit. Caution: i am surprised at how the orange tiles on the pictures i attached have come out-there seemed rather old and stuffy, which in reality but not so was.

With the catering trade prides itself the hotel very, especially on the internet. I was therefore very expectant and i this for the major words quite similar like for instance in the Hotel Castell in leinsweiler expected (see my other reviews). And in order to make it short: i was not disappointed. The breakfast buffet is just great. 6 different types of bread (fresh for carving), many different rolls in different sizes, fresh fruit salad, huge cereal choice and cheese not in disks, but several käseblöcke to herunterschneiden -excellent. Small detail, but for me especially: to the scrambled eggs one could fresh chives about. So what i have last only at mama home get ☺ The lunch meal consists of a salad buffet, liverwurst, kaiserschmarrn, pasta with sauce and some supplement to the eve there. You can help yourself, just as with mineral water. In the restaurant it was really perfect choice, since after the great breakfast and dinner (see below) anyway not more would have can eat. Especially you had to still leave room, because it gave 4-5 different sorts of cake and cream, at the bar one free use, in addition there was to coffee, Latte Macchiato, Cappuccino and so on. Just as large kuchenfreund it was a real feast. The dinner was in menu form, you had the choice between 4 menus: 2 times meat, 1 fish, 1 time vegetarian. In addition one had the choice between 2 zwischengängen and 3 desserts, whereby one of them always 1 drink or cocktail was, so the on their costs, the already after the main course were full). Without longer much longer and with : the food was magnificent, especially if in any kind of wild or mushrooms with were offered. The beverage prices were fair, not extremely expensive.

At the front desk someone is always of the family stadler met guests, particularly the younger son was very accommodating and friendly. He gave us from on the idea stituents go snowshoeing try, what a great thing was. Also tips where you currently to the cross-country skiing, hiking, etc. Can walk, were very helpful. The room service was attentive and everything was ok, as in the restaurant. We were served immediately and the morning coffee was furious quickly. Which for me especially liked : the service on the whole house was not intrusive, often as a part of the bavarian warmth for me really quick happened (am but also sensitive, i flüchte a beach holiday also always before any entertainers). I had already fears that bingo nights and so on. Hunt must, but everything was unfounded. Full marks at this point, a personal stop by the cook, if the main effort time is done, would be the icing on the cake for a special service. The in-house ski rental, floors, shoes and actually all that you need is also worth mentioning. The prices were really reasonable (cross-country skiing with sticks about 11 Euro per day per person) And the material was excellent. By a really big stock, you could also spontaneously a bit and must not wait until you order and then some,.

We only the spa in the main building used. The swimming pool like a bit small appear, we were, however, once as a whole 6. in the water and it was absolutely no problem. The design with stone wall and vergittertem kurzifix like on the first glance surprise, radiated but with the weaker lighting for evening a great atmosphere from. Unfortunately, there were only 2 beach chairs at the indoor pool, it was still a bit warmer than in the sauna area. In the residence (the spa you of course can also use) there is more chairs in the indoor pool. Next to the indoor pool were several modern seating, 6-7 waterbeds, an infrared cabin, a solarium, and a steam bath and a finnish sauna. Than sauna conscientious objector, we can only from the waterbeds reports, the were very relaxing. Right next to a sauna and steam room, there was still beautiful leseliegen, however, we were not clear, whether the textile-free zone is, therefore, we have this area as a precaution to relax avoided. A more accurate description would be helpful. We had a massage in our package with us, the beauty and spa area is very beautifully designed and the massage was good, without an unforgettable experience have to be.

The fundamentals of the hotel were mentioned in other reviews mentioned. To mention is, that the hotel from main building and residence (or: guest house) is, separated by the Klingenbrunn leading main street. A main street may often than negative argument are, in the case of Hotel Hochriegel this is however somewhat temperate, see 'location and the surroundings' The most rooms are located as well as the restaurant and front desk in the main building - it is the residence a bit more modern. Very remarkable is the condition. From the outside works especially the main house really rustic bavarian - exactly like a bavarian forest hotel actually presents. But: the style is bavarian, but so renovated that everything was a fresh condition attached. This symbiosis to create very difficult, in the Hochriegel it folded. A big, however, there is, however, and for this i must also 1 bewertungspunkt deduct : wifi free of charge is nowadays just absolute standard, especially in hotels of the high category. Those who still money (whereby 3,50 not at all that is outrageous as elsewhere), the afterwards-and not ideal UMTS front desk, you would often glad but wi-fi especially for the smartphone to have, without specially somewhat to put down to have (because something tells me that the hotel probably a internet flatrate has ☺ ). The other guests were mostly in the retirement age or at least 50 +. Nevertheless, we have as a young couple not 'inappropriate' felt. I can not understand why you as young people always to Austria for winter sport or wellness drive must, the bavarian forest was as area magnificent and the older guests do not bite.

The hotel is actually located on the main street by Klingenbrunn leads, however, it should be mentioned, that the 'main street' in a place like Klingenbrunn on day so traffic as some sideway in the absolute residential area in the town - cross so not a problem and cars we have both during the day, as well as at night never heard a thing, neither in the room nor in the restaurant. Klingenbrunn is located not far from Spiegelau, many as (former) glaszentrum known. There, there are also enough shopping possibilities in various supermarkets. The next reasonably larger city is Zwiesel, there is one about 10- minutes by car on the way. The pick-up service from the train station Spiegelau was already mentioned in other reviews mentioned. A 'night life' exisitert of course not at all, but who in the bavarian forest and discotheques in the place is, which is definitely on the wrong track.
