When we arrived, we had a room on the ground floor, but wanted to a room in the 1. floor. The room decor is identical, who however more emphasis on space, should on the ground floor a room book. The rooms are modern and attractively decorated. Unfortunately can mold in tropical countries not always avoid (we had in Thailand already ) but apart from that was cleanliness and cleaning of the rooms reasonable.

We were thrilled, like great and tasteful the food prepared. We have already been in Karibik and there we had more stars and worse food! The selection is small, but fine. Cooked typical of the country. Every day there was different kinds of meat (beef, lamb, pork, chicken) and fish/seafood (grilled or steamed ), great currys, local vegetables and delicious desserts. Breakfast is more than enough! Depending on hotel occupancy rate is buffet or menu offered.

The staff at reception, near the restaurant and the cleaners were always friendly. However one is always in french and their english is very bad. Our room changing worked without any problems.

For the guests there were for lunch and evenings program. The animation was no pushy. Evenings we had either live music, sega show or karaoke (very entertaining). We were mostly at the beach on, as there is a little quiet was. The pools were of children hijacked. Who however a dream beach to be would like, is here be disappointed! You can into the sea, however there is a lot of traffic through excursion boats, water skiing etc.

The veranda grand baie is a small hotel. Very nice, well-kept complex, with a lot of green and thriving plants. The two pools are clean, chairs by the pool were always available. However if several sun screens desirable. At the end of february, beginning march were many french families, some russian guests and a handful of german guests in the hotel accommodated. The evening entertainment was for the french guests made for.

We chose grand baie decided, as we the hotel with booked half board. However offers grand baie not lots of possibilities, lunch or evenings where though. The bars did not look inviting and the cocktails were not considerably cheaper like in the hotel (besides warns the travel guide their guests evenings on foot to be traveling). At lunchtime there were many mobile stalls, the food sold, however we didn't dare, there to buy something. There are two supermarkets, the large superu in grand baie and a smaller, direction pereybere, there we could us cheap drinks and food.

Sufficient, since you are not the whole day in it is, apart from that as mentioned above!

The food in the restaurant was okay. , but, as mentioned above, the menus definitely not recommendable are, luckily we had these days excursions made, so we had delicious food had. The price of drinks both in the restaurant, as well as in the minibar are an isolence 100 rupee for 1.0 liter flat water, 110 rupee for a Cola 0,2 liter With the supermarket super u in town you paid for water 6 time 1 litre of 73.80 rupees, for Cola 0,5 liter 21 rupees! At our last day of vacation we were the dinner denied, although we late check out had! If you don't speak french, you are a bit lost! English understood, however we had sometimes the impression, that Only the guests warm service, the french language (regular customers?) Except for two exceptions we went to the waiters definitely not well served! If you are not already in the morning at 7 o'clock For breakfast appeared, were the tables not clean! Maximum cleaning with a feather dusters! Even the request for coffee/teelöffeln was only partially fulfilled!

Sunbeds were sufficiently available, umbrella not! For the whole complex were 11 screens at the beach, by the pool no only! For northern europeans with 31-33 degrees in the shade definitely not pleasant! That means you had to early morning to the beach, for shade to reserve! From 2 showers by the pool worked only 1! The pool and the beach were cleaned daily. The section for swimming in the sea was however quite small demarcated.

We booked consciously only a small hotel selected, the not in the Center is. The rooms were by the size and the furniture was sufficient, What the cleanliness subject, this was rather poor, a bit more would benefit! The bathrooms of our rooms could also once again cosmetic treatment need, not only partly needing attention paint application! Furthermore should something against the mold in the showers done will, a cleaning and the replacement of the seals would be urgently needed! With the half-board we have in the first week buffet served, in the 2. week 2 time menu, of which 1 time not enjoyable!

the rooms have different sizes. If it is important, should be eighth, the booked Size to receive. but also the smaller rooms are large enough. the furnishings is totally sufficient. a few Hangers and shelves more would be perfect.

the breakfast was hearty and good. Those who complain about lacking variety grim, should not be forgotten, however, that at home usually only rolls/ Bread, jams, cheese and sausage on the Frühstücksspeiseplan is possible. Measured, was everything great. for dinner there were during our stay 2 time à la carte food. opposite the usual buffet form is the choice of course limited. The taste was however reasonable. The buffet Selection was a really small hotel always very good. We felt the food as very tasty. There were almost exclusively locals Fare with a lot of fresh vegetables, various salads fish and various curry dishes were always offered. If you are looking for Schnitzel or fries searches, is here wrong. Also children, the only fries or noodles may, would probably problems. Who however Value German food sets, should stay at home. the staff were always friendly. All speak sufficiently English and French. the cleaning of the rooms was good. On complaints ( safe was not feast anchored) they reacted immediately. The service in the restaurant it is somewhat slow. But which Soll's-We were on vacation. on the contrary: We have this peace and tranquility enjoyed and tried, a piece of which to Germany to take.

There are almost every night about one-hour cultural performances instead. We only visited once a Sega evening, and once even an Indian dance performance. Much more than water aerobics in the pool there were a lot of animation ( luckily) not. It was very decent. the hotel consists of a pleasant small collection of row house in a densely flowered Tropical garden. the hotel exudes an incredible peace from. In the first days after our arrival was the complex still not fully occupied. Even in the restaurant it was so quiet, that we the feeling had, whisper to have. Fantastic! the rooms are fresh, however not completely renovated( tiles, doors window are 'original'). kettle, small fridge, hair dryer, safe and flat screen TV ( however without German programs) are available. the cleanliness in the entire area and in the rooms is OK. There is everywhere very small ants, the however probably only with the use of very much chemistry fight would leave. You could also request. We enjoyed the ants didn't bother us. If you are not a food open lie about leaves, stops the problem in very narrow limits. Our booking was done with half board. (Food under 'gastronomy') the guest structure is mainly from French, Swiss, Austrians and German. the beach is very small, but nicely designed and fine sand. Couches were at any time available, probably do so, because' people who reserve sun loungers' the absolute exception represented. the hotel lies theoretically a good hour driving away from the airport, almost on the other side of the island. By the daily Traffic jam in Port Louis/Phoenix, the transfer depending on time of day but much longer. The place Grand Baie is after 10 minutes comfortable footpath to reach. There are car rentals, Tour operator, Shops, small stores, a large bazaar, restaurants, Banks, Internet cafes, and a large (Super U) and small supermarket. The Bazaar is accessed, in which you from the hotel coming in Grand Baie the first 'real' street to the left after approximately 250 metres away. The large super U you will find also to approximately 250 meters on the left side, but only at the traffic lights. A much closer to home supermarket you can reach but also, by passing the stichstraße from the hotel right after Grand Baie is, but to the left. Around excursions to you can book with good English or French a local Tour operator choose. Whoever attached importance to a German sets, is its tour operators safe well served or small tip-with Helmut. To CAP malheureux (northernmost point with pretty red church), the botanical garden after Pamplemousse and in the capital Port Louis is a very good and sensational book by bus drive. (In the air-conditioned express bus- stop at the street to the Bazaar after Port Louis jacket do not forget!) in the hotel are also bicycles lent, however I had a flat on CAP malheureux and ' eierte ' with plattem front wheel back to the hotel.
