The somewhat outdated hotel with its 149 rooms very nice laid out. Daily the hotel cleaned, only the condition needs work. The all-inclusive offer is plentiful, as for example the use the boats at the beach, as well as the opening times of the different bars in the hotel of 5a 23 hours. The average age in 25-60 years and the nationalities of canadians, austrians, russians, and of course german. read more

    We had a double room with extra bed. Because we this room only for sleeping used, was the size enough. The mattresses are already somewhat through convenient and no more on the newest condition. The furniture have already a few years old and the tv is not the newest. The size the bath is sufficiently with a toilet, tub and sink, and a toilet brush searches. A thanks to special nature, to our maid Nancy, the our room always in top condition and for the figures on our bed.

    There are 3 bars and 2 restaurants with you in the a-la-carte-restaurant restricted. There was at every meal a wide variety of cold and warm food, these were local but also on other nationalities aligned. Daily there was fish, meat and pasta, these were freshly prepared by the chef. Especially great lunch at the beach, every tuesday and thursday with live music and roast on the grill. The atmosphere, of the staff, is always friendly and courteous, and for a small tip, they were very pleased and comfortable the vacationer very hard.

    The beach is always clean and one of the most beautiful beaches of Varadero. The hotel's chairs are free some be changed should.     After about 50 minutes with the bus, from the airport Varadero, one has the hotel reached. There the hotel direct at the beach is located, it is only a stone's throw away. In the hotel are 2 shops and a few steps away you will find a supermarket and a bank to change. Excursions could be in the hotel, when suppliers cubaturs, or at the travel agent. The connection of public transportation is in the immediate proximity.

The hotel complex is rather small, so we also decided to have. The complex is tidy and clean. We had all inclusive which also paid off. You get normal glasses, and not as in other clubs small plastic cups. Except for the beach bar there one gets plastic cups, also clear that not all the dishes at the beach layed out. During our stay, there were mostly older guests were present. Almost no children. Many canadians and german, and austrian. read more

    Our room was pleasantly large and spacious. The room door during the day closed, since a few pigeons just walk and comfortable! The air conditioning was not too loud and worked perfectly. The balcony went to the pool also. Furthermore, there was a telephone and a fridge but is empty. It is advisable in the store a bottle to buy and this then every day at one of the bars with water population to leave. That is not a problem. The bathroom was appropriately large and with a bath, toilet and hair dryer. Unfortunately we had no stubble for the bath, which did not disturb us however since we anyway only showered.

    There was two restaurants, but we have always in the buffet restaurant. In addition there was a à la carte restaurant. The food was good, but it repeats itself and of course again and again. But there is nobody would go hungry. Unfortunately come the beverages in the restaurant from the machine and were very cold. There was always enough place and one had to never wait or long and reserve. Now and then plays in the evening live music which is much maintenance sam. If you don't want to, that the music with a stay standing you need only friendly to interpret and you further. If we tip then always a cuc which certainly was adequate. Now and again there was a drawback with the small spoons. If you do, keep it until the end of the meal! On some days at the beach cooked. Unfortunately the many pigeons to, the then also partly on the food jump. That is why we have mainly in the main restaurant eaten.     The staff at reception is extremely friendly and helpful. Also the staff in the bars was very hard working and friendly. Especially highlighted is petro the mostly on of the pool bar works. All have good german, english and of course spanish spoken and understood. The cocktails are excellent! Especially the mochito and the Piña Colada. The cleaning of the room was alright. Daily fresh towels. Each person receives a large towel for the beach. Can every day to be changed.

    The pool was very ok. There the pool bar where the hump in the water are, unfortunately, most of the time in the shade was we were not often there. There is enough chairs by the pool. The entertainment team was fun and not intrusive. We have Volleyball at the beach played. Cost, you can still dancing lessons, darts or Midget Golf play. In the evening there was always a show, starts usually so at 21:00 on the stage at the pool. You can still look at. We could in spite of the proximity to stage nevertheless well sleep, since the windows good schallgedämt were. The beach was really nice. Some chairs are unfortunately a little worn, but there were so many that you easily swapping. At about 11 pm it is at the beach fully, whereas, it is necessary before down to go. There is a shower at the beach. The sea is a dream! Turquoise, clear and warm! Shade was not a problem, under a palmenschirm fit four beach chairs in the shade.

    The beach is only a few metres from the rooms away. The airport is about 25 minutes' drive away. Varadero city one in about 10 minutes walking distance, there are a few shopping possibilities. Directly in front of the hotel there is a post office, where you buy tickets and could give. Public transportation (taxi, coach, bus) there were cards the hotel over. We stayed with 'Juan' across from the post office at the parking lot a trip to Havanna made. Was really great. To 4. we have 160 cuc paid. With Fidel carea (speaks a at the beach an) we were in the south the country! A very great trip and very recommendable! Fidel take you to a bauernfamilie where even made coffee drink. Lunch you eat in ' amarillis' the tasty crocodile prepared (1 meal costs 15 cuc enough but also for two people. Then it for snorkelling and the crocodile farm, where you itself feed if you want to. A great trip. Cost at 4. also 160 cuc.

Hotel was very easy going. Cleanliness was okay. It was all inclusive, cocktails were ok, but quite strong. If you ask you get the Havanna Club rum ☺ There were mostly canadians, germans and austrians in the hotel. Age of 25-70, so very mixed ☺ Weather: we had some days, where it right was cloudy and we do not into the sea could, in the afternoon it was often also something fresh, if the sun times behind the clouds was. read more

    The rooms were spacious. They were simply furnished and were already quite worn, but it was okay. The bathroom was already very worn. One must always remember, which country one traveled. The cleaning staff was very nice and is open every day the room cleaned. The air conditioning was quite loud, but at night we needed it luckily not.

    There was always a large buffet with wide choice, however the meals often only lukewarm. We preferred the live cooking. There was always noodles with 2-3 different kinds of, the freshly prepared were, you could still different spices it. Further one has every day one sort of meat and one sort of fish freshly prepared received. For breakfast could the butter is missing. A bit disappointed i was however from the fruits and vegetables. The pineapple was only rarely ripe, mostly tasted rather bitter and was quite hard. The tomatoes were usually still green... But overall you have to say, be satisfied...

    There was every day entertainment : Volleyball, Boccia, spanish lessons, Salsa. Evenings there was bingo and evening entertainment... The program absolutely okay, in the evening they were very hard, but i found a picture in the evening only really liked it... The loungers were at the beach quite hard, unfortunately, there was no cushions.

    The location of the hotel was good, it was right at the beach, the exceptionally beautiful was. To the center from Varadero one needed on foot about 15 minutes, with the taxi was quick, it cost 5 cuc. Directly at the street could one directly into the double-decker bus boarding. Definitely again! The stay in this hotel was very relaxing, the staff were very friendly, the rooms were very clean. The food was also good so in a nutshell : everything was fine! One must only in the clear if you vacation makes it a poor country and it may not be every day butter and the tv only 1 german transmitters gives or it can be the bathtub perhaps a small optical mistake has. We have in Cuba for our honeymoon, and were quite disappointed from the hotel. In front of the book, we have over potential hotels asked and the reviews here looked at. At the end there were two hotels to choose from the budget and a good rating profile had. 1. this hotel 'be live las morlas' and 2. the 'melia tryp peninsula'. Because of the pub proximity to center from Varadero (only 1.5 kilometer) we took the las morlas decide. A large mistake as it turns out! Already on entering the hotel of the lobby we have no good ... picture from the hotel received. The furniture old, damaged and moldy. As well as the padding, easy moldy and always damp (because of the high humidity). We were however warmly welcomed and we were on wedding congratulates. As a present we have a fl. sparkling wine receive. We have a so-called 'bridal suite ' on the 4. floor received. The room was large enough. The is however already everything. The rattan furniture was as in the lobby previously seen damaged and loose on. The bed covers and cushions were partly moldy and full unidentifizierbarer stains. The bathroom was not too great moldy (for cuban standards okay ), however were the mountings all fossiled. The sewage of the washbasin was clogged, so we used the caretaker had to call. The view to the outside was also rather modest. We were allowed from the balcony on the restaurant roof with the adjoining mildewed (black) wall surfaces look. Altogether nothing special nice for a honeymoon suite. Safe costs extra (2 cuc/tag). The state of the room left unfortunately also to be desired. Everywhere were sandkörner of the last residents on the floor. We have 3 days in a row in each case 1 cuc as tip and motivation for the cleaning lady let lie, so that they may be our room somewhat decent cleaned. However without success. Even a bag we deliberately immense on the floor left, was in 3 days not away. The cleaning lady apparently always time found from towels figures for us. We could however a clean room more looking forward to it! The food was ok. In the morning always fresh fried eggs, omelet, cheese, sausage. Apart from that lunch or evenings pasta, casseroles, salad, fresh fruit and different meat or fish dishes. Also okay. You always find something. But what was just with the fries? Strange way were the always dark brown to black dyed (old frittier oil?). Very unappetizing. The snack bar was allegedly until 17:00 o'clock open daily. Since we at noon never ate there, we wanted to before the dinner at this particular bar a snack get itself. Strangely was the whole food at 16:00 o'clock cleared. First on request one has then reluctantly a hamburger patty grilled get. If you on time something eaten has, then you could a pork steak included riesenknochen, borstenhaare of the pig still not removed and the said dunkelgebräunten fries -good hunger then! Cocktails were not so the racer, except for the Piña Colada. Basically was always too much cheap rum in it, so that the cocktails often not, unfortunately. Mojito anyway you not got, because apparently always the mint was. To three days we had enough and with our travel guide spoken. We are apart from that not picky, but for the honeymoon was the unfortunately but too few. Luckily was in the above already mentioned 2. hotel (melia tryp penninsula) still a room free and we were able to only 5 Euro per person per day surcharge change. We do not have long time to decide and received immediately our suitcase packed and could then still 10 full days of our vacation in the star hotel enjoy. The change paid off. One star more, you can tell on Cuba clearly! At the end we simply want all Cuba-visitors rates, with such an expensive trip a few Euro more to invest and a 5 star hotel to book. Then a great holiday on Cuba nothing more in the way. read more

We can the other negative reviews not understand, because we have it exactly different experience. It is a very nice, modernly furnished hotel. We have very comfortable, the service was good. For a beach holiday, we this hotel absolutely recommend. The food was varied and very good (particularly the fresh roasted meat, fresh pizzas, omelets, pasta) convinced. The drinks at the bar were very good. The animation program is varied (of dancing on Volleyball, darts, table tennis... To learn spanish ), so that everyone the right thing for themselves choose carefully can. read more

The hotel is outdated but looks outwardly really good from. Food was sufficient and varied but partly not enjoyable, as there was no spices gives. The staff at the snack bar was good overburdened if more like 5 guests at customs, there was the large buffet went the offer. Staff were too many friendly but prune there are everywhere there one looks just above. We wanted to definitely times to Cuba, because it always great is presented but a country what we saw but not again to go! We were very disappointed. It was the weather good and the beach ... and the water great the staff from the pedal boats and so on needs training how you with guests and must learn to work and not just say it was windy and there can be no boat into the water, near the other hotels it was! read more

Very small and beautiful hotel. Really a bit outdated but it is much done in shot to be held. The complete staff and the entertainment team were great dear. Food and drink were absolutely great! There was always a great delicious Mojito and the rest of the cocktails became also with fresh ingredients and good cuban rum prepared. The rooms were to our best satisfaction cleaned and was all right. The value for money is very good. Again at any time! Was perfect vacation! read more

Overall, the las morlas and Cuba a (further) visit. In comparison to other reviews we can no flaws about the food comment (there is always everything!) Also the age of the hotel cannot complain about; there were always repair and maintenance work carried out, however, the holiday not at all disturbed. The relatively few rooms and one of the cleanest and most beautiful beaches in Varadero are meaningful enough. Without exception the staff were very friendly; some could speak german, all english. The village Varadero itself is a short walk easy to reach. It should be absolutely from the extensive ... pool use! (either over the travel line or on local suppliers (german); if you at the beach from 'Luis' addressed will: the tour to Havanna join in! It is worthwhile! Contrary to the first expectations appeared to us Cuba very safe. As you had nowhere the feeling von'souvenirverkäufern'to be hassled (' no, gracias' is enough); everywhere were the people very accommodating and friendly. (p. p. ballpoint pen, soap on trips or a small tip are with the locals very popular). A catastrophic hotel, that a 4-star standard not met. So well. Where catch we now? Alone the hotel is very outdated and even if it used to be a Riu with 4 stars is now really not much left. It is everything very aggewohnt and worn out and very in need of renovation, although it really in every corner of the entire property always very clean and constantly cleaned. The towels were changed daily and the room was always very clean and very nicely decorated. The hoteldirektor is only since 3 months in this hotel and made every effort really very for the satisfaction and the welfare of his ... guests. We had never in any of our holidays as a komunikativen and sprechfreudigen manager saw there. He spoke daily very many hotel guests and made lots of small chat \u263a The food however was very simple, usually not so warm and it repeated itself very often. Who with simplest standard satisfied the safe always something to eat. The christmas and the new year's eve buffet was in harsh contrast to the everyday food of the finest quality and it was with much love and trouble presented inclusive fresh lobster \u263a The opening hours of the bar at the 24 hours what to drink and one conversation is very hard to get used to. There is the pool bar, the lobby bar and the so-called disco at which it always only by the hour which to drink and you constantly forced on travels to the next open bar. The swimming pool is very clean and well cared for. The path to the really beautiful gently sloping beach is very short. With sun loungers and a capacity in the shade we had never problems. From the so-called entertainment team was during our whole vacation what to be heard still seen!? The offered dance the animation team has never happened but instead, the entertainment team its new appearances for evening rehearsed and me bierholen to the hotel. Also very pleasant;-) The lobby bar ( if you stay on had) and the so-called disco were at 23 o'clock deserted and the hotel staff have maintained and something to drink. If someone really looking for peace and quiet without animation the is in this hotel in good hands! The flavor of the various drinks and alcoholic beverages is very hard to get used to. The original cuban coffee and fresh orange juice from plastikkanistern tasted however therefor very good. Unless you hear absolutely nothing more! The fridge in the room was almost as loud as the air conditioning without really the beverages too cool! The cubans outside the hotel were very nice and friendly. One can outside very good food for little money and you have absolutely no fear outside the hotel to move. There is also no annoying salesmen a constantly wanted to sell something or must. The hotel you can recommend with a good conscience. It is in good condition. The staff were always friendly and the communication worked wonderful. All employees were always cares for the guests. The absolute highlight is the beach, the is simply dreamlike nice. We have when booking specified, that it is our honeymoon is. We without demand directly a large family room get, and a bottle of sparkling wine stood in the room ready.     The transfer to the hotel from Varadero airport was pleasant short (ever maximally 40 minutes) but we on the day of arrival always decide for a taxi around really quick in our 2. to be of the highest quality. The house is directly at the beach, only separated from the garden. After vardero directly on foot it is maybe about 30 minutes but above on the road get one always a taxi or coco, that a for about 10 cuc into the 'center' drives

Each of the to Cuba drives can must be before in the clear, that one the hotels not with german standard compare. Las morlas was a small solid hotel with almost familiar character and very friendly the staff in all restaurants and bars. All gave themselves trouble, to keep the hotel clean. The advantage: very short walk to the town, beach, to the bars, restaurant and pool. The rooms were clean and the changing of towels worked. Of course there was also broken tiles, loose outlets and so on the food was varied, every day there were amongst others fish ..., several sorts of meat, grilled, salads and so on for who wants it, can pizza and pasta according to one's own. The wine comes from bottles! And is decorative on ice. Also the cocktails were freshly prepared and tasted not after chemistry. It pleased us in the very good hotel pleased. Since our room on day (despite south) little hot has, you could also very good without airconditioning sleep. Buffet for cuban standards very good (we are on the first week of vacation by car toured around and have much, which clearly worse, seen). Mostly german speaking guests, some canadians and south americans. Lots of guests between ... 20 and 30 years, some 60 plus. Mostly sociable and outgoing. read more

Hey, In november 2011 we stayed for 3 weeks in las morlas and this year again. The already says a lot.! But you have to say, that the hotel rather a small and in some stuff under the standard is. More than friendly and very good staff, makes the small weaknesses but more than makes up for it. With complaints was immediately (cuban immediately) and also always help from the very improvisierfreudige staff created. The beach is in front of the hotel with the best of Varadero and you is on foot in 10 minuten in the town. You ... can even at the water front walk. In 3 weeks stay, is a 14 days, that buffet a little about and so are we almost every day eat out. What with the favourable prices in Cuba also a lot of pleasure. read more
