The hotel is as a basis to the exploration from Darwin and in the area very suitable. The location is very good and you can restaurants, bars or the mall well reachable on foot ( no 5 minutes). On our room ( Duplex villa) fits the adage' small but sweet'. The terrace is really beautiful made. The hotel lacks unfortunately a little bit of flexibility. Our return flight went only in the evening and we could the whole day yet the pool use. On the question, whether the possibility is a shower to use, we were told the would only ... be possible, if we the room with the shower for a more night pay (150 AU $). read hotel review

A cockroach in the room is in the tropics almost normal and hardly verhinderbar. When we went a whole street by. When we complained said the man at the reception with Australian serenity: no worrys. Not a problem. For us however it was a great problem and we on the whole northern Territory not so disgusted. Luckily we were only one night there. However this hotel? Never again. Stay in the adjoining park stay. read hotel review

The hotel is located directly on the esplanade, a busy coastal road. The complex consists of a one-story main building, as well as several bungalows. In the city, with various restaurants, bars and shopping, are within walking distance. Swimming in the sea in the immediate vicinity unfortunately not possible. read hotel review

We spent three nights and were very pleased. A comfortable resort under palm trees with a short distance to shops and bars. The Darwin wave lagoon, within 10-15 minutes walking distance. At the reception there was even a woman, who spoke German. The rest of the staff was more than friendly. We had a room next to the uncovered bins outside, so it was a bit noisy in the morning, but it wasn't't really disturbing. For a longer stay, you should this may change. Anyway recommendable, price/performance ratio was very reasonable for me! read hotel review

Basic hotel with a very nice garden, centrally located. We are only after 21 PM, all supermarkets were to and in the hotel there was no possibility to buy water, unpleasant. The air conditioning in the room did not work, it was unbearably hot. After a complaint was then. read hotel review

The hotel is very centrally located, directly next to the parliament building. The center with many cafes and restaurants, as well as opportunities for shopping is within walking distance. The double room (ground floor and first floor), as well as bungalows in a tropical garden. No building is higher than the palm trees. We had the room with the number 257 on the first floor with a pool view. It was very clean, quiet, not very big but functional. Shower/toilet (no hair dryer) double bed, single bed, wardrobe, refrigerator, tv, a well-functioning air conditioning with remote control, fan, iron/board, kettle ... with tea and coffee shop, and toaster. In the hallway to the rooms was just outside the door a table with two chairs. A safe wasn't't available. Swimming pool is not very big, but very clean and refreshing. At the pool there were plastic beach chairs but unfortunately no cushions. The towels for the pool at the front desk. Internet access was available at the reception. The hotel also offered a restaurant. The service was very good we paid $20 a. For dinner had to be reserved and paid the front desk. We didn't try it. TIP To the center with restaurants, bars, cafes, boutiques and souvenir shops are about ten minutes walk. Here you will find a large supermarket, McDonalds and a visitor center. Also a travel agency where you can book excursions around Darwin is here. Not far from the hotel is the Darwin waterfront-pool area with wave pool (great). 1/2 day five a $and $8A the whole day. The bathroom is very nicely laid out with waterfalls and a children's pool. Rings and wave boat is available free of charge. Showers with storage safe ($4 a) are available. Towels are not provided. Souvenirs for home wrapped get preferred to go into town, as at the airport all is much more expensive and the selection is quite small. Australian wine is more expensive than in Germany (same brand) and at the airport more expensive. read hotel review

From a previous stay we had the hotel in very good memories. This time we had but instead of superior room only a standard room. This are much smaller and my opinion loveless decorated. The cleanliness left to be desired, at the walls and the sheets seemed stuck boogers had not been changed. As this hotel has lots of families with children staying, it is advisable, no connecting-rooms so rooms with connecting doors, to get. The hotel is close to the center, many attractions and shops are within easy walking distance. Despite some shortcomings the cleanliness, we can recommend this ... hotel. read hotel review

The Palms City hotel is located directly on the Esplanade almost next door to the Parliament building. It is quite a small hotel with quite beautiful garden and pool (which we didn't use). There were bungalows and normal double rooms. We had a double room on the first floor, which was clean and adequate for the price was equipped (TV, large bed, complimentary coffee and tea making facilities, climate etc. ). A guest laundry is also available. We chose the hotel as start and end of an 5 -day trip through the Northern territory and each had a night before ... and after. Comfortable was that our cases, on the trip is not what we needed for the amount of time keeping in the luggage room. Opposite starts the Bicentennial Park, which runs parallel to sea. Within minutes you are in the Mitchell Street, where many bars and restaurants on customers were waiting. Darwin is alive and on the weekend it is always something going on in the bars (with lots of live music). The hotel was a little. Taxi from the airport is about 30AUD, airport shuttles at 22aud (11 per person - however he but at almost every hotel in the city, so allow loads of time or just take a taxi). All in all is the Palms city resort a great place to stay and with good value for money with the best location. read hotel review

The Palms city resort consists of a L - shaped two-story hotel grounds and single bungalows in a beautiful park with palm trees and nice pool. The whole area made a very well kept impression. We stayed in a bungalow which was very attractively furnished. Each bungalow has an additional covered veranda, on the evening pleasant to sit outside. The staff was nice and helpful. The resort is located behind the Parliament building right in the center of town. Pedestrian area, shops and restaurants of downtown so easily within walking distance. We stayed over the weekend. The Friday and Saturday ... night in the nearby pubs pretty loud live music, But we didn't mind that. For sensitive guests like this but a downside. We loved the Palms City Resort and I'd recommend it to anyone else. read hotel review
