Hotel Barcelo Capella Beach Resort^{(4 stars)}

The room with a view of the sea is its size absolutely sufficient. The standard of a 4 star hotel, however unfortunately not reached. The mattress was worn out and every move of the partner came a shock right. The mountings the bathroom was unpleasant to look at and the bathtub... It should be the silicone be replaced. Also the electronic devices have their best times behind itself. The tv gives noise, as if fried eggs would ; the fridge (with rust mistake) against a nichtendenden flush right.

The selection of restaurants & bars is good. The distribution/division is well selected. With the drinks nothing left to be desired, but are the dishes tasted right path and mostly cold. But also here is alternation guaranteed. The sanitary facilities are catastrophic. Doors mostly not close. The mirror and fixtures have their best times behind itself.

From a star hotel you could have a better service. So it can't be, that at 7 o'clock in the morning already on the door am knocked, because the room should be cleaned. Not to mention, that the cleaned towels only on the next day brought into the room are, so you with the beach towels drying must. But: when 12 days stay, we had 9 days always luck with our 'girls'. If you look at the service in the restaurant, you have to say, that he everything but is good. The staff seemed quite overtaxed. Orders are confused and even forget.

The existing fitness room should not be used. These you will find in a very unkempt condition, The devices are less vertrauenerweckend. The billiard table: tried once and then quickly left. The hotel makes on the first glance quite a comfortable impression. The park is well designed, the hotel not higher than 4 floors and the distribution of restaurants and bars very attractive. There is guests of all ages and nationalities.

From the airport santo domingo is one in well 30-40 minutes in its resort. This is directly at the beach. Excursions were through schauinsland offered, however it must be mentioned that: if you are looking for a nice walk, this desk in Eva's travel agent much cheaper. For example excursion to santo domingo: schauinsland 37 €, When Eva 25€. For people who want to relax, is this hotel absolutely not convenient. Our room divided in four sectors-entrance with wardrobe and dressing possibility and safe (free of charge), bathroom (bath tub with a shower) with a toilet, laundry room with small kitchen and living room/bedroom and balcony. Size about 50 square meter. It was cleaned daily and everything was perfectly clean, and the towels daily freshly-all, beds at least every 2. tag. Coffee and fridge was daily filled up to the edge-everything except for alcohol. Furniture was not new but clean and everything worked well. To the equipment belonged also an ironing board and iron, which you in 6 weeks excessively can use.

I know no hotel not someone about the food complains, also not with 6 stars in Dubai. There was every day everything and it was after 6 weeks still tasted great, i would like to stress, that i from leridenschaft eat and not from hunger. Salads, pasta, soups, meat, fish, and fruit-everything fresh, fresh is not. Half filled plates were cleared away and immediately with fresh food replaced. Everything is, if you want, especially on their own desire is prepared. Pasta you from the very rich offer and shall notify the chef, with which sauce or pesto, with as much garlic or vegetables, ham or cheese you his pasta like to have-and everything was fresh and tasty and the super fast. As for the meat-beef, pork, chicken, lamb, filets or chops-we could choose from and so the number of, the size and the sort, then gives you the meat the chef, the is then as desired and if one media says, then one gets the meat also media, as is the fish, mussels, skampis, lobster, garneelen. The pool area was large, clean and very well maintained. The hotel is much better as so some evaluation gives voice to this and has its four stars always deserves. Everything seems to be very clean and neat. It is constantly and everywhere cleaned, washed, swept and fair, whether at the beach, in the beautiful gardens or in the buildings. It was nice to see how much enthusiasm all employees hand in hand for their guests work, always friendly, always cooperative, always discreet and polite - always with a smile. The only that during the 6 weeks didn't bother us, were some unpleasant guests of different nations. It should, but no one the management responsible, but even as exemplary role (polite, friendly, low-key, right and proper dress and not already at the morning more alcohol award than one stomach. Really a great hotel - we fly again!

The hotel is situated right at the sea with palmenwald at the beach, the partly up to 50 meters wide, and in the field of the hotel very well-kept. The beach daily cleaned multiple times, because some guests bring much with and then their garbage gladly back. Of course not all, otherwise it would be not so beautiful! The hotel even includes several nice and stylish building a outstandingly beautiful and generous laid-out park surrounded are. The easy access to the area is good. Juan dolio is on the doorstep. The drive to San Pedro by bus or cab takes 15 minutes to Boca Chica about 25 minutes and to santo domingo about 50 minutes (by bus 1,20 Euro simply). Excursions you should not with the own travel agent, they are in the rule too expensive.

Unfortunately started the vacation only on the 3. day, after we a room in the fourth building got. Before we were in the house 3 building, which was old, but for us tolerable would have been, would have the room as booked and paid a balcony had. All a couple of days a small thank you for the maid (personally!) , and a small tip (rd. 20 Dollar for 3 weeks) were certainly not harmful, we our room always clean was deseamed and with fresh towels, as well as coffee and filled mini bar, found.

We were mainly in the main restaurant, which is the large and tasty selection of food deference. Staff generally friendly (individual exceptions prove the rule, as subsequent). In the main restaurant there are 4 service spaces, each had its own head waiter with further assistants, and all were altogether efficient and anxious. In our 3 weeks we stayed in a range but a relatively small, about 40 years old 'police station chief stressed person' met, he said, his staff hurry to have, success: orders of the guests were forgotten and untergebenes staff unlearned to smile... Since we rather nice to, we changed after 3 time in our service area and observed these sad spectacle only from the distance... The entertainment wasn't used, Pool relatively small and therefore not for ' course floats' suitable. Beach clean, but good beach chairs scarce, since most the cover sags. Showers and toilets near to the beach

Hotel consists of 4 viergeschossigen blocks, Farther from the beach house 1. Between this house and 2 is one of the 4 restaurants, as well as two pools with a pool bar. Entrance and front desk about centrically the hotel, across the street from house 2, -then direction beach amphi theater with evening entertainment until 23 hours. Shortly before the beach then main restaurant with a pool and pool bar. Right house 3 and further restaurant and disco (11-02 hours), left house 4 and in the afternoon beach bar. Various sports possibilities.

Punta Cana International Airport around 90 to 120 minutes bus ride. Opposite the hotel small supermarket, pharmacy and in the evening music bar, otherwise is in Juan dolio here 'the dog is buried'!

Partly in miserable condition, see above Bathroom so tiny that no two people have in it place Lighting very bad, except two nachttischfunzeln was zero lighting there. Have evening nothing in the closet and room can see, balcony was also not.

Food was good, could have been a little warmer, but you always found something delicious.

Staff very friendly and always tried, one must stop often attention to get drinks. In the rooms only very superficial and the bare essentials cleaned, was but also the worn condition, it was always grubby looked, sometimes we arrived at 17 hours to the room and it was still not ready. The towel service is also pointless, the early morning in/out privileges, sometimes 8 hours, since we were still in the bathroom and were only in the evening brought it again. Complaints were taken up friendly, but nothing has changed, we felt quite Vera... Before.

Was okay, rarely used Entertainment tried, but at night a bit one-sided

Were 2008 already times there and had in house 4 a room, we are not spoiled and found it especially of the hotel forth very nice, beach and food also okay. That is why we have again booked, but the last time there was, have the impression at all corners and ends were saved and the staff rather overstrained. The rooms are pretty much a catastrophe, if you are not lucky in house 4 to get one, which was really stink-normal rooms are, the one in a 4 stars hotel expect can. Only in house 2 a room completely down offered, which we but just denied have, as we with a balcony booked. Got one in house 3 at the top, we even sea view and big balcony had. Room very run down, bathroom was tiny and dirty, often only cold water and ants, i was not even bother me, but the air conditioning only the air in the room umgewälz and so it was under the roof stuffy hot, as in of the sauna and at night the disco went to 2a 3 hours. My husband was hopping mad, because we could not sleep any night, so no trace of relaxation. We have reported the travel agent and were even times the front desk, so that at least once after of the airconditioning look, but the only always said they send someone, but it has not getan. If you are after the disco then finally open the balcony door wanted, because of fresh air, was somewhere trash burned and a toxic, penetrating smell was in the air, early was also a black rußfilm on the balcony, we also had any animals (mice or a type of edible dormice with buschigem tail ) in the room the the door reinspazierten and everything anknabberten, the nights were the hell.

Beach is great for walking, but not a dream beach. In the sea bath shoes are necessary. Otherwise overall dead, a stagnant place, lots of shops which 2008 gave are too. All neglected and a lot of trash. The hotel complex itself is however beautiful, very well maintained and in the palm garden, you always found a shady spot.

Room was on the 4. floor the 4000. -blocks, with a direct ocean or beach. Room size absolutely sufficient. Bath tub had some faults, but it was bearable! Toilet was daily cleaned perfectly. The balcony was with appropriate chairs, as well as the possibility to dry the bathing things equipped. Room service was excellent, very clean and there was even 3 weeks every day fresh flowers in the room. All rooms with tv with about 30 channels in spanish, french, english and 1 channels in german (dw)! Air conditioning had proper performance, was however somewhat according to. In the room is next to hair dryer, iron, a coffee maker with coffee, which was daily refilled.

The food in the main restaurant 'el pescador ' was diverse. There was a noodle bar, vegetarian food etc. Everyone could find something. Furthermore, there were 3 a la carte restaurants. In the ' chez fontaine ' however only at a charge! In the other two is everything included in the all inclusive. It is advisable, in the evenings already at 18:30 until 19:00 for dinner to go; then you enough room and the waiters still have time. Later it is hectic and the guests (nationenunabhängig!) With full plates 10 minutes to find a table, food with the fingers while the table that way and then complain, that the food cold! First a table looking for, then eat in/out privileges and everything is good. Empty plates were immediately cleared and cleanliness is ok completely okay. Usually complain about the quality of the food and the cleanliness, the home the putty from the windows gnawings!

The staff is very friendly and in principle one understood; however, it is not bad, if you a few basic words in spanish, french and english! Also one should the maids, the waiters and the bartender romo at the beach bar at least from time to time give a tip. We had the 3 weeks no problems!

In the evening there was always live music, and then a show of the animators. I personally found the shows not so appealing, my wife was thrilled. At the pools and at the beach were enough chairs available. Because of the many palms are no umbrellas. However, bathing shoes advisable, since the sand partly sharp pieces of sea shells and stones can be.

We had booked all inclusive. Internet 2 Dollar per hour and 10 Dollar/ day for wi-fi. Alternatively, wi-fi (24 hours/day) for the entire vacation for 20 Dollar at the beach, which the german Robert and Gaby powered. During christmas and new year were mainly french and german of all ages in the hotel. Naturally also dominicans and puerto ricans, which very friendly are, partly friendlier than the german! Of course if you complained, that the locals only speak spanish and 'we are not at all times with which conversation', should soon in the uckermark region or in the vacation in the black forest make!

Located directly at the beach; opposite the hotel there is a small supermarket, the had almost everything. To the left approximately 50 meters is a pharmacy and a bank with atm. Otherwise nothing is going on. If one runs at the bank, further to the main street, you can take a minibus on the main street but for 30 pesos (about 0,60 Euro) to the next town, Boca Chica, drive. There is right next at the beach a about 1 kilometer long street with bars, discos etc.. ; at night there is a lot going on! It was precisely with this minibus (circa 2 Euro) or a guided tour (in Eva 25 Euro/ people) one comes also in the historic part to santo domingo. There you can go shopping or culture.

The rooms very spacious and stylishly furnished.

There are 3 restaurant and one where it buffet returns. The dishes were all very tasty and tasty. There was evenings always various themes times american, brazilian without many more.
