We stayed at the first floor, room was at the streetside where you enter the hotel.
Too much noice: during the day because of trafic and during the night because it is located near a plaza where a lot of people pass by. The room has too many windows. Most of them could be blocked by wood, but inside above the entrance of your own door there were windows aswell. And the problem is that they don't shut the lights of the hall, so your room keeps getting in light from the hall. My partner and i could not sleep ... because of that. We decided to ask the reception if the light could be switched off. Firtst no but hen they realized the discomfort and switched it off. Thank you receptionist for doing so. However the room was too loud and the bed too small. So i would not recommend this hotel. read more

The hotel castelmar is a typical mexican city hotel in the center of Campeche. The exterior of the hotel looks very in need of renovation, the interior is however very nice and lovingly designed. The rooms are huge and clean. The hotel has a pool, free internet access and a secured parking lot, which is free. Breakfast was with us in the room price not included. read more

The hotel is conveniently located to city center and offers a wonderful balanced atmosphere in the mexican style. The suites are, since these rooms are huge and have a spectacular. The price performance ratio is great. As you can a limited, but sufficient breakfast overlooked. If you want breakfast in extensive immediate Nearby many possibilities (for example, directly opposite the entrance of the hotel). For dinner I would recommend this restaurant ' Marganzo ', from the hotel about hundred meters in the direction of the market. read more

the hotel is located in the centre of campeche, within walking distance of Kathadrale, the main square with many restaurants, the colorful streets with small local shops and the seafront promenade gulf of staying at. We spent during our trip night here and had a huge room, equipped with several opportunities to sit, tv, telephone etc. the bathroom was also very large, bright and modern. The beautiful building with inner courtyard lovingly decorated with Bumen and in very good condition. Unfortunately you can not even in the afternoon drink a coffee, since there is no restaurant-offers the inner courtyard absolutely ... at. For breakfast the same merits nothing good: the ' ingredients' few delivered somewhere, on a table and is somehow kept warm (with vacuum flasks and co.) there are hardly any choice, everything seemed very tentative.
Bottom line: stay-breakfast as somewhere else (for example in a branch of the 'Italian coffee company' under the arcades at the plaza next to the cathedral.) read more

the rooms are huge and very nicely furnished. There is just a lack of hair dryer in the bathroom. It is a few minutes from the centre and delicious fish restaurants are within easy reach, in campeche plenty to find. The breakfast was rather boring and is rather less recommendable (does not have its own restaurant in the hotel = breakfast only with improvised kitchen, flasks,...) to hotel for a round trip but ok and recommendable read more
