Actually from us the ceren hotel booked, a few meters of green hotel away. However we were given two weeks before the trip the message, that this was fully booked. The green hotel was the offered alternative – therefore the heading.
The hotel itself
It has 46 rooms, two building. The front building has many room with a view of the sea. In the back building - if at all, there is only lateral view of the sea. The front desk is located in the back building. Between the two buildings are the hotel restaurant, the bar and the hotel ... pool. The hotel area, that means the front house, is on the promenade. It is the outwardly prettiest hotel on the promenade, but no art. The hotel pool is relatively large and deep enough, to swim. The water was but quite cold. There is no animation in the hotel. Often runs discreet music (also turkish).
The rooms are a bit shabby, in principle however reasonable for 3 * and clean.
There is no fridge in the room, you pay 15 Euro/week extra. There is also no safe in the room, only really small safety deposit boxes in the foyer for 10 Euro/week. According to the bulletin at the front desk are fruits and drinks (even water!) In the room forbidden! Bath -/pool towels are not available.
There is a mosquito spray on the windows, but not before the balcony door. The air conditioning is average silent. On the balcony there was a wäscheleine and clips.
The hotel is well kept, the staff are friendly and make an effort. Loungers with cushions at the hotel pool or beach are easy to get (low season). Chairs and umbrellas at the beach are subject to a charge (15 tl). The hotel is located but so near to the beach, that you directly from the hotel pool into the sea can. It is a sand -/pebble beach the is relatively empty, in the late season, without jet skis and noise. For reasons of animal welfare (turtles use the beach the oviposition) there are only two rows umbrella/loungers.
It is half board offered. We stayed for 3 weeks only circa 660 Euro per person paid, this made possible of course no special kitchen.
The breakfast (offered from 8 to 10 o'clock) was already quite bad everyday the same, almost not the slightest variation. That means musty white bread and such, something darker bread. There was a pass-toaster, so that the bread enjoyable was. Hard boiled eggs or once per week witnessed scrambled egg (worse we had never before). Sundays omelets. Two types of sausage, a sort of cheese, packaged butter (or only margarine ), jams (slightest quality) and honey (or only a honigähnlicher sugar syrup). Apart from that for turkish breakfast gherkins, tomatoes, olives, yoghurt, raisins, curd, rarely watermelon and a kind of cake. With the turkish breakfast one can well some time life, but in the long run it becomes boring. Variety you get, by including in the pub bakeries finds (for example sultan pastinesi in caliş or Fethiye).
The dinner by 19:30 until 21:30 o'clock offered (to end of the season from 19 to 21 o'clock). It is usually not really turkish cooked, as many a time in the reviews claims (the breakfast is already rather the turkish style). In any case hardly specialities. The starters buffet is about half an hour before the actual meal time completed. However is from the guests (at least in the low season a rentnerstammgesellschaft ) expected, that until 19 o'clock or 19:30 clock nothing touched. Only when the chef at the horizon seems, all jump waiting at one fell swoop in and pushing in the buffet. A senseless and unpleasant peer pressure.
There was daily only a warm dish and soup, which in a. after a week repeat. Both is one of the two chefs spent. Our first dinner consisted next to the soup from the used with rice and carrots, even with a thin, after almost nothing tasting sauce. There was rarely turkish specialities. The same goes for herbs and spices. Basically the quality a good company canteen. You can of course for the small money not expect too much. What the cold appetizers is concerned, there has been a really big choice. It is remarkable, that much recycling businesses is, what not a problem for us was. All together were the appetizers however enjoyable. Drinks are paid separately. They are naturally clearly expensive than outside of the hotel: 1,5l of water without carbonic acid costs 3 tl, 0.2 liters Sprite also 3 tl, 0,2 soda 2 tl and so on in strandsupermarkt (not the cheapest) costs the water to the comparison only 1 tl.
As a dessert is fruit offered, mostly apples, oranges, rare watermelon, besides 'chemiepudding'. Sometimes there was also perfectly mushy, inedible baklava or kadayif (also here we must unfortunately say, we have never worse). As with the warm dishes only one type of fruits and a dessert per evening.
It is recommendable, for external restaurants to evade. For example the zeltrestaurant on the promenade, the fish market in Fethiye or some other places in Fethiye and caliş. However around 90% of the restaurants on the promenade within the tourist zone a catastrophe - with the few exceptions as the zeltrestaurant on the promenade or 'Calis Gözleme (pancake house) '. The latter is located at the end of the dolmuşe in caliş, diagonally opposite the seril bar. The visiting card of the very nice owner is still to be Durmus Ali küt, tel. 05325178786, e-mail: calispancakehouse@gail. com. They have a very small card, but Gözleme there tasted wonderful.
Caliş
It is a typical tourist place, that means for individualists not convenient. The site is larger than it on the first glance seems. You have to however away from the boardwalk and tourist area. It is located about 5 kilometers away from Fethiye, what when booking not immediately clear. One expects a old town and land in a fairly terrible tourist place. In contrast to Turkish Riviera (Antalya, Kemer & co) There are almost no russian tourists. Probably, because the most hotels 'only ' half board offer.
The promenade and one of the blocks are crammed with tourist and restaurants. Almost at the end the promenade, the Fethiye, is a beautiful zeltrestaurant with really turkish food (without hamburgers, cheeseburgers or similar) and turkish live music. Secluded from tourist strip there were several small and larger supermarkets (also migroß ), tiergeschäfte with dog and cat food, bakeries and so on at the end the tourist strip, on a relatively large intersection, there are four free-and next to an atm (more of, as well as real banks, there is in Fethiye itself).
Sundays the market instead of. You should preferably at the front desk requests or, where appropriate, for the first time with the Dolmuş drive along, then it is easy to find. The market is worth a visit, even if you as a tourist, the turkish does not speak, too much paid. As good as nothing is price, one must therefore act. The fruit – very tasty and fresh-has quite german price.
Fethiye
It is the nearest city with about 80000 inhabitants, without too many tourists, on foot in a 70-minute march to reach, apart from that with Dolmuş for 2 liras or with a 'water taxi' (5 tl). The stops are not at the small crossroads in front of the tourist strip in caliş or port in Fethiye to find. Fethiye has an almost endless promenade (unfortunately there is no connection with the beach promenade in caliş ) a large facility, lots of restaurants, clothes shops, a further migroß, post office, banks and so on there is also a couple more sights, rock tombs, ruins of the gallery regularly organises, some few lycian sarcophagi, the city in general is for the europeans not overly nice. Tuesday will find a massive weekly market instead: on the left of the McDonald's and on the canal along.
The wakes fish market is also a market, the daily was open, it is a feast building with shops, fruit stalls and restaurants. In the middle are fish and seafood offered, which in turn for a fee in the surrounding restaurants immediately can be prepared.
Travel /excursions
Various possibilities excursions something to do, are offered. Next to the german reiseveranstaltervertretern, the one time per week in the hotel are, there are numerous' travel agencies ' at the beach. We booked our excursions and the rental car over hamish mcturk (however are the excursions only gives and of the subcontractors carried out).
The representatives of hamish mcturk were sitting pretty directly in front of the hotel. In the autumn 2012 it was a stuttgart, with the one in the flowing german converse could.
We have the following basis:
- two boat trips more or less standard, beautiful bays, average food on the ship. Hamish mcturk provides travel on boats, the not so crowded. Quite nice.
- Jeep Safari (tlos, yakapark, gorge scales, xantos and Patara, 50 tl per person). It is a simple fun, all day, mud bath close to scales, schluchtbesichtigung, yakapark (just a trout farming - beware abzockgefahr, it is expected, that you in the local restaurant buy something). A lunch halfway is included (standard touristenfütterung ) with salads and side dishes and before advance reservations chicken or fish, so, as already ten times when such excursions in the mediterranean, Egypt & co. Experienced. Patara-beach – last item of the agenda is worth seeing, 8 kilometer long sandy beach.
At the world heritage site of xantos just passed. Unbelievable. From the old town tlos you can also only a few photos from a longer distance, make, there is at least but paused. In short: to many destinations for an excursion, in the final outcome was disappointing for us. We have a rental car in/out privileges, in all peace all a look, what we really care. Here is also still mentioned it's not easy in Turkey to go, as not so many road signs/signs are available, from the large d400 apart. Thus a current map get!
Also we were horse riding defendendo. We have two deals surveyed.
Of hamish mcturk offered pferdehalter on-site is quite a disaster. We have a walk done to the place, where the horses are kept. Physically they seemed healthy and had apparently enough fodder. The offered horse riding was reasonably priced (2.5 hours ride for 17 Euro). There is however no real stables and infrastructure. The horses are on a free surface in the reeds, none of the horses was condensation (and one rode on amongst others a very rocky beach). Most of the animals seemed mentally broken and behaved hostile the people opposite, bite and entered. For reasons of animal welfare, we have eventually by far.
The other possibility offers the Isa. M turizm -isam horse ranch
In yaniklar to: http://www. Isam atbinicilik. de
It is a professional pferdehaltung. We are Germany in contact and riding tours booked. You will from the hotel picked up, the horses are friendly and healthy, the tours are very nice, beach, mountains, flussritt, however spoke our guide as well as turkish, a bit of english and russian. He is however very hard, competent and extremely friendly. Otherwise rode the owner or its daughter many a time with. It will be however price almost german level requires, 2.5 hours horse riding costs 45 Euro for reasons of animal welfare we advise in any case to this provider. Both for beginners rider, as well as for laymen.
Also in this-for us 2. - stay in turkey we could say, that no sanitary or health problem are to be expected. A lot a bit scruffy and untidy, where it however it arrives cleanliness high. The people are very hospitable and polite, you should also friendly and polite answered. The country and the area in the region wonderful, as well as the climate. The sea is everywhere clean, the only downer is the always disastrous handling of waste. Itself off the beaten track of places there are hardly a müllfreien spot.
Turkey is a country with much story and culture, but sometimes difficult to find are, for a package tourists. read more

The rooms were very small and one had hardly shelf space for the laundry. The safe was a joke.
There is nothing for young people as we are, there. The regular customers are all in the middle age and older.
But it was nevertheless a lovely vacation and the price was also, weather was also great. read more

Absolutely familial, friendly staff, optimal location and the beach (you can ' to spit '), delicious food and... One/woman is just in the 'green'.
I can't wait now to see with the 'friends/regular guests', the tour with Levent, the cake in Carola, the fish market in the place... ;-).
Luckily this area is not so 'crowded' and you can, too in the hotel(by the pool) in peace read a good book. read more

We were again in this hotel. The rooms were partly renovated (new laminate flooring instead of the old carpeting and new walk-in showers). Location, food, etc. are OK for the price. The room cleaning left a lot to be desired and was limited to making the beds. or towels and irregular based beds. The staff was mostly friendly and helpful (especially Hakan), but unfortunately totally understaffed, which of course led to chaos in the high season completely fully booked Hotel.
Structure of the guests was mixed, rather few Germans, some Englishmen and many more Czechs. read more
