A hotel, which definitely for families, hikers or those seeking relaxation is very recommendable. You will be from the first minute welcomed friendly and well taken care of. Families with children can be sure, that their children here no long time have.
The area invites even wandermuffel to nature to a walk.
The beautiful conservatory is a the rays with a view of the deep snow and on the air Ilse.

The hotel makes a very friendly impression.
Unfortunately we had a very tiny room. The bathroom was large enough after showering to handing without somewhere against zustossen ☺
Would be nice if more storage space for toiletries would be.
The rooms were cleaned daily.
We booked half board. The breakfast buffet was good,there were enough selection of sausage, cheese, jam, muesli, cereals, etc.
The coffee was in airpots on the table and it tasted very good and was nice and hot. (in another review it was written, that the coffee not hot enough, i cannot confirm this!)
What i ... did not like was, that one evening only under 2 menus could, for everyone on the first two days was always one dish with fish. I didn't eat fish, but without grumbling i got on request a schnitzel with fries, which however on the first evening very unpleasant on the plate was clapping. On 2. evening was the Schnitzel then but very nice presented with the salad was, because finally the eye eat with.-)
On 3. evening i had already again to fish on the menu adjusted and therefore renewed schnitzel with fries, but since on this evening a large celebration in the house was, where a buffet was, we were half board guests us erlaben and it was really megalecker!
What i did not like found, was the fact, that we the next morning for breakfast in the conference room ausquatiert were, probably due to of the guests from the celebration from the night before. The conference room was clearly too small for all and lots of guests were 'queue', because not enough space for all was, the buffet was partially emptied and it was from the staff not controlled, if everything is. First on demand came 2 staff member from the service and filled the buffet on. read more

It is a matter of taste, but the hotel didn't appeal to me too much. Somehow a little dark. The room was very small, and the bathroom also. There except in front of the mirror a winzablage nothing, where you are reasonably sensible its gear if i can. The mattresses were unacceptable. Rather bad gästebettqualität. The cleanliness in room and bathroom was okay. We had took a smoking room, and it is possible that it therefore, everything small side, because these rooms, if at all available, often the worst are.
The breakfast was not so the hit, rather everything is ... a bit simple and inexpensive prepared.
The staff is overall very friendly and helpful.
The food in the restaurant was great, good selection and absolutely delicious and to get full food. We had ate there, but not as half board.
The view in the sauna and the pool was humbling from time to time. Everything very stark, small and very uncomfortable.
The environment of the hotel is very nice. We had tiefverschneite paths through the middle of the forest and the small waterfalls. This is definitely worth a visit. read more

Cozy hotel below the brocken mountain
The hotel is in an idyllic waldgegend, on the edge the town of Ilsenburg, directly on the foot of the brocken mountain.
In the hotel itself there is a very relaxed, friendly atmosphere. You feel immediately in good hands.
The staff, starting at the front desk to the housekeeping is efficient, nice, friendly and very accommodating.
The rooms ( not so very big) feel but due to the large window friendly and are very clean.
The furnishing is more than adequate ( big built-in cupboard, tv, internet connection amongst others)
The bathroom looked through ... the bright tiles friendly and also in a very clean state.
A house parking is right on the hotel. You get at the front desk parking, apart from that it could happen, that you have a ticket to mate.
Restaurant and the winter garden are also very appealingly designed. The staff are friendly and always looking out for the wellbeing of the guests. The breakfast and dinner buffet is very recommendable. On the tagesspeisenkarte you will find in adequate tasty, reasonably priced dishes.
In the house are also a sauna area, a fitness room and a small swimming pool.
Who would like gladly into sizes hike, are the so-called 'donkey tours' (with three right donkeys), chaired by the hotel boss especially recommendable. They are very informative and also for 'plain-tyrolean' good to manage.
For hard gesottene hikers starts behind the hotel the climb to the brocken mountain (circa 9 kilometer).
Very recommendable the festtagspakete. Non-routine everything is the best organized.
Nothing was missing, like for instance, christmas with santa claus and giving, weihnachtsmenü and subsequent weihnachtstanz and of course, all christmas flair.
In conclusion you could say, if you this hotel bay, has a completely sorgenlospaket booked. read more

We were completely satisfied: rooms good condition, half board food both buffet, as well as with menu always something good to find, great breakfast, everything very clean (excluding the walking area of the small pool, but probably from some guests lag), sauna was perfect, eselführerschein also, staff very friendly and helpful, rather older people and families with children for hiking. read more

We are a family from the ruhrpott (Oberhausen) 41,47,69,70. hotel is surrounding by trees and surrounded by rocks. Pure nature. There is a very relaxed atmosphere and you immediately feel at home. Room are very friendly and clean. Recommendable is the breakfast/dinner in the generous has landscaped conservatory. read more

That was unfortunately my first letdown ( in Germany): I had a single room ( explicit non-smoking) booked. When I late evenings arrived, I got a very small room which was totally Smoky was! On my complaint they said, that this unfortunately the only room is what it would completely ausgbucht and the night previously you could have been the bus driver a travel group quartered the chain smokers is. NA great! My request, you could at least one anti- Geruchsspray find. The half but practically nothing. The opening window no significant relief. On the contrary: since before my side ... you will have a from (on the back) a small river with Wasserstufen runs, an extreme level of noise generated by the sound in. I am what the regards not sensitive-am otherwise on vacation if I in the room the sound hear-but here I had the feeling next to the falls in the Nikotinnebel to sleep! I didn't sleep-that was my worst hotel Accomm! With the smoke-filled non-smoking rooms may bad luck be - on the other hand but you should such a announced room not smokers assigned without on compliance to exist. I felt with my problem in any case alone left.
The winter garden is evenings by the way for non-smoking also unusable there itself here all smokers gather!
Breakfast was plentiful and good, could my hardly sleep night however also not good. The hotel radiates GDR -charm from (Einrichtung/flair), is ideal for hikers at the end the street directly on the forest. On foot in the town, it is quite far away (about 20 minutes). read more

We had a short trip (3 nights, romantic candle light dinner) to relaxation in the resin booked. The reception in the hotel was very good, but when we went up to our room, we had to walk through a Küchengeruchswolke, the always directly in front of our room hung. Very unpleasant! And the room was an impertinence! Rather a hole with bed. Much too small for today's standard, no mini bar as the website is described and the according to the Receptionist in any the room. Why it is on the half board? The candle light dinner was rather a ... Katinenessen without flair. We were told not even before, what there is. Only a few Candles lacked storage space, it is not the romantic dinner. The appetizer tasted tütensuppe, the Hauptmahl consisted of a few Frozen Herzoginnenkartoffeln, Pilzpampe and two Ministücken pork. The dessert probably came rather from the Supermarktregal. Very disappointing! In the room: the bed sheet also had better Times, certainly without Löche and my bedding was, as it appeared, Blood Droplet. No night LONGER! After not even 24 hours we were again on the way home. All together: not recommendable! read more

For hikers and resin-enjoyers the hotel is very suitable. The staff are extremely friendly, the atmosphere in the dining room very familiar. Who wellness and best kitchen expected, is perhaps (NOR) a bit disappointed. The hotel should further ausgebaur will. We had a coupon, the official value for money uS abgescheckt. read more

The hotel is wonderfully located right at the start of the hiking trails in green surroundings. We had a room at the back. Was booked a double room, we got apparently a family room. It had at least two big room with 4 roosts. Everything was clean, the mattresses however way too soft. Somewhat annoying was the disabled people bathroom. In the shower you could unfortunately not reasonable showers, without the whole bathroom underwater state. For two nights we wanted to now but also not change and the swimming pool shower. The swimming pool area was okay, unfortunately there was ... only the sauna in use. The breakfast was really good and delicious. With us was the dinner with choice of the menus already inclusive. We would definitely not still time for 14,00 euros to book. It is actually not worth. Apart from that the hotel can be only recommend. read more

Luck in unluck we had, as we from the hotel in the old town, which right on the main street is located, because of from frost damage had been moved are. The hotel lies idyllically situated on the however quite loud roaring Ilse. The rooms to the parking are accordingly loud, with a constant noise is, what we at night only slightly while having the windows open disturbed. The breakfast what was very good and diverse, delicious rolls and on request included coffee. The half board was unfortunately very good prepared meals ( for example the mashed potatoes ). The ... hotel employees are extremely friendly. The pretty place Ilsenburg is in about 1 kilometer on a little busy street by the forest to reach. There and on the way there there are lots of restaurants. The atmosphere the Nagelschmiede (think, it was called the ) is great, very recommendable. You should definitely on the Ilsestein hiking. There are a great view on the hotel, Ilsenburg and the Brocken. Even my 83-year-old grandpa managed! Goslar is a must. read more

Planned was a wellness and hiking vacation. We had a suite booked, this was however after the guy in front of us tidy. The other room was OK, but the napkins on the bedside table, on the table, on the dresser and the table was not exchanged (water/grease spots from the guests before us), the coffee table from glass was at the corners reduced (risk for small children!), under the heating there was a bucket, because the heating dripped and was on the side of rust. In short: no beautiful Insight! Unfortunately also wellness area we didn't convinced: steam bath ... was broken. No choice service strength far and wide. For help or to order something, you had to in the bathrobe from the waiters, where the wellness area is, by the front desk in the hotel restaurant run, the receptionist to find. This was furthermore in the role of the service in the restaurant active and was easily annoyed, if one questions to the infrared-cabin had. In the sauna area was a lack of cleanliness, the ceiling was moldy and the artificial Flowers were full of dust. There was no beautiful experience. After 30 minutes I had a sauna, we have this anti-wellness area leave. The area is perfect to the hiking, but the hotel would not recommend. read more
