We had 3 days time for the area around Trinidad and no hotel occasion. We wanted to a hotel in sea proximity we are therefore on the ancon come. I would have been better about the hotel research! Because what was available was fantastic! We had a superior room which very small but it was still much larger than the standard room! The interior was old but ok! The dining-hall or as we called it 'the canteen' is huge, carelessly, very noisy and smells like grease! The dishes taste all directly were lukewarm to cold so just what do you ... have! The soft drinks are so with water watered down that i just drinking water have. The alcoholic beverages (cocktails) all with cheap chinese fantastic! The taste of the mojitos is not exactly definable-by the way applies to all drinks! The snack bar is not so bad, i would say! In the evening the two bars were already quite early therefore one is forced outside at the snack bar the drinks to drink and the very loud evening to watch! The beach is normal - the water very unclear-that is however because of the in the shore all full of aquatic plants was! One can with a katameran, pedal boat or paddle boats. Twice a day they drive with a small motor boat to a nearby reef snorkelling. Excursions to Trinidad you can take a bus or taxi the directly from the hotel leave on your own. Where you can very good mojitos at a good price drink! The hotel is a loveless concrete block the already is somewhat older! We were so glad that we only three days in this hotel had to stay! This hotel i can in absolutely no way recommend! There are two hotels on the ancon once this and the brisas directly before! The brisas for me a very good impression made but unfortunately they had no room free! I think that the private accommodation in Trinidad the bulky are available also not worse can be! In any event, they are much cheaper and therefore complains you're not! I want for my hard earned money also a corresponding performance ratio was! In this hotel you want your money, but no anything in return!
Trinidad you easily in a day visited for this reason there is a maximum one night in this area. So since not as dumb as we and makes a large elbow around the hotel!

Great seaside location with clean beach.
We had luckily a room in the main building with a view of the sea.
The room was but so small, that i first a table and 1 chair on the balcony had to put, so that we the luggages somewhere could make.
The restaurant is big and the offer rich, quite tasty and even warm if certain food is fresh cook/bake is.
Internet was 2 days not, there were supposedly no phone cards available. read more

In this 'hotel' are we landed, because the neighboring brisas was fully booked. Fortunately we had to only one night spend here, longer stay i unbearable before. The room is super super small. No chance only a suitcase sheets, the air conditioning-ancient, blowing with massive volume on window sleeping directly on the chest. If you in the morning no pneumonia is to envied. The alternative means sweat at night. The in front of the room, pflanzenbank is a verdörrter unkrauttempel. The entire building frank and garbage. But there are also positive. The beach is right in front of the door ..., even if we as long as available, no shower found. And the sunsets are really good. read more

Worst hotel on the round trip, resembles a down at bunker.
Dining room with the volume of a train station and the food is terrible including cockroaches on the table and unfriendly staff.
Room is run down. Bed had a zigarettenflecken braided cover and hair on the 'fresh' sheets.
Warm water there was only on good luck.
Only the great sea view compensated the other sight. Why this hotel three stars has is beyond me.
Interesting would have, that the hotel for his miserable condition with many tourist guides and a claim. read more

For Cuba a very good three stars all inclusive hotel. We had not about the cleaning in the room and property, still about the food or service a bit to complain about. Quite on the contrary! During our Cuba autorundreise this was without exception the most beautiful hotel with the best food and the friendliest staff! Only the entertainment in the outdoor area was so loud, that we the music also on the 6. floor could hear. It was however very good cuban live music! Also the dishes and the very friendly and attentive service in the restaurant (subject to ... prior reservation usable! ) We really liked. The drinks in the lobby bar are great, as well as the coffee. ( we were even extra to the breakfast buffet served ) very nice the snorkeling tour for 10 cuc to the coral reef. ( at the beach ask.) read more

During a Cuba-round trip we spend 2 days the ancon hotel. Room directly following the baustellenteil of the hotel ( with baustellentür in the room). Strong construction noise from about 07:30 A. M.. No warm water possible. In the room strong color and ausbesserungsreste available.
The dining room was unreasonably loud. Furthermore, plates and mugs or even coffee more a stroke of luck. The staff are friendly however totally overwhelmed.
So please never again! read more

Itself compared to the city hotel in Havanna the difference is enormous!
The rooms dirty (bathroom, laundry, air conditioning) and very noisy. You can hear everything from the hallway and other floors as though the persons in the room are.
The bar under a staircase, drinks soft plastic cups with just sufficient quality.
The food in a dark, dirty dining room. Quality is in a imbissbude much better (canned food, lack of hygiene, possibly vergiftungsgefahr ).
Slightly sloping caribbean sandy beach was the nicest in this hotel. read more

We have 1 night in the Hotel Ancon spent, because of a round trip ' highlights westkubas ).
When we arrived there was to rain, but the entrance area, the hallway were underwater. In the entrance area hard-working one this to remove them but not in the corridor to the room the open is. This was the next morning yet underwater. The room itself was quite small. The air conditioning reminds you of old American movie ( a closet at the window the part hangs and extremely noisy). The bathroom: the washbasin you could almost not touch as it from ... the wall, luckily it had a stand. There was no hair dryer therefore I have my used with travel adapter, as this again disconnect wanted, almost the whole socket afterwards. The shower was OK, the shower head looked new. We had only with the door zukämpfen, left hard to open respectively close.
The hotel is apart from that loud, the buffet restaurant is also in a bad condition. There was no cutlery neither staff watch. Felt with other German informed and asked, where to find what. The tea for breakfast has strongly after chlorine tasty. The food was cold and everything was in English since.
In short: eyes too and through and on the next day guests at the round trip.
Private would I this hotel do not book it was perhaps only 1 star, no 3. read more

We were as a part of a round trip for one night in the Hotel Ancon accommodated. Because of strong rain stood at arrival already the whole hotel ( lobby, Hallways and our rooms) underwater. US assigned room was uninhabitable, it smelled like a train station toilets. Thanks to our guide we were in a larger room change, the actually only the tour operators reserved is. The blankets were stained, the bathroom dirty. There was just cold water and our washbasin was only half on the wall attached. The shower and the bed to use required clear overcome. The service ... in the restaurant was very bad. After we 10 minutes with stocked plates at the place sat, we got cutlery. The was however not further bad, since the food anyway not enjoyable was. Our travel group fed only of stale bread. The offered all inclusive wanted no more use, as it amongst others only water from the water tap to drink. read more

We were as a part of a round trip for one night there, unfortunately, a disaster!
For one night oK, longer I would advise against!
The food was not enjoyable, even the coffee for breakfast tasted very strong like chlorine, so this after the first Gulp stopped. The staff were quite 'unmotivated'. The rooms are Outdated, which for Cuba normally not a problem is, however clean none was ( cockroaches in the bathroom, Thick dust bottom bed, Mold ). I recommend Taking a huts- Schlafsackes! The complex and the entrance area well-maintained and are the beach is also really very ... nice!
Tip of me: for adventure with little hunger exactly the right, all other the choice should avoid. read more

The hotel complex was well manageable, so not too big however also not too small. We have one of the 8 huge room received. The other room i can unfortunately not evaluate, because i have not seen. Our room was almost for a whole family made for. Every room is placed so, that one into the sea can see.
In the all inclusive offer there was really a lot, that it used could. You could get free rent a pedal boat or with the catamaran go.
In the hotel are really many modern represented, from Canada until Russia everything was ... there. There was the average age however often at 60, but there were also often young couple. read more

We were very surprised about the state of the hotel, since we didn't the first time were there.
Mold on the walls, dirty mattresses and a very unfriendly Neckermann staff were hitherto unknown. With complaints bypass he did not, we have in the 1. week 3 time the room changed, no water pressure, no warm water, cockroaches en masse, sorry.
The vacation alone was great, the hotel never again and so a tour guide needed not a soul, the the staff from the canadian society sunwings more worried than Neckermann i found quite a strong piece. But we were grateful. read more

We stayed in the context of a tour 2 nights in this hotel spent. We had a room with a balcony on the seventh floor -both guests elevators were because of renovation however except business (in the peak season!)-the suitcases could at least be transported with the staff elevator. The rooms (with balcony) are really very small, however therefor with direct view of the see, beautiful beach! Service( front desk, Bell boys) very hard-working, the food I would describe as' country '. For 2 nights it was OK, a vacation I would not want to spend. read more

The hotel is situated on a playa Ancon beautiful Caribbean sand beach. It is however a real all inclusive-Bunker, in which you really don't longer stay the way to go. We were there for a night during a tour.
the food was OK and varied. The room was with a view of the sea, sufficiently equipped and clean. ( however you should eighth a room in the main building to get, we were given initially a room in the side wings and where we wanted to stay with all due respect not. We had to complain twice, before we had ... a room in the main building got).
tip: we had a flexi-drive-trip. Initially we have before in the hotel called for a room to reserve, as we were told, that the hotel was fully booked. As a result, we are right there and asked for two rooms. Suddenly was free! When we said we flexi-drive customers are, the front desk lady only had to ask once their boss. This told us then, that we were only there for a night stay.! read more

a horror hotel!
on arrival, roof we are still, OK it wasn't so nice, as long it was clean, OK.
Then started at, the the rooms on the first floor pool chairs and there is no elevator, but only the tray, the delivered with a sofa, that you are not into falls. So suitcase drag.
were fortunately only 1 night, the US handed.
the room very small, very old decor and musty and especially very brightly hörig, could neighbors snoring. The bathroom was disgusting and there was no warm water.
Neither the dinner still the breakfast were to enjoy, also ... the bread was not edible.
the only thing what very nice was, was the sea, also at 4 o'clock morning!

For one night almost an impertinence. It is in the whole hotel didn't have a single room in the black mold on the walls depends. Our appointment to about 36 degrees and we had on our first walk into the sea we did not know what was warmer. The beach area is the nicest of the whole hotel area. At this time of the Year include minimum 20 bites to the all inclusive offer. The rather bad prepared beverages, save a about the day. read more

Staff motivated, so what I have never seen anything like it. The food was bad... And if you are seen as has the chefs have prepared the, was a also bad. Ate there early in the morning and in the evening nothing.

Positive was the location right on the sea.
The room were very small, with the suit-cases where? The decor was very old and worn. The air conditioning was directly on the bed. The room had a connecting door to a room and we could hear other conversations etc. without the. The restaurant was extremely crowded, you had to wait in line for at least 20 minutes for something freshly grilled. Quality of the meals were Alright but the bread selection was very limited. The hotel is very far from Trinidad away. Positive were all inclusive, 220 volts for the plug ... and the evening shows. two days were then also enough. read more
