Our 2. stay in the old forester's house in Braunlage. Harzhaft good! This time we had a 3- bedroom ( room 12).
Size and equipment are in accordance with the specified category of the hotel ( three stars). The bathroom was updated, so everything ok. Cleanliness and service also okay. We had no reason for a complaint.
The most important is a sincere thank you at the friendly, competent and helpful staff.
We have our 3. stay in old forester's house for february 2014 already its entirety.
Until then, we wish the old forester's house and his team many happy ... guests.

The 3. time in the forester's house and as always a lovely stay.
Had this time a room with renovated bathroom where you had to say it must be a bathroom are compliments to the craftsmen and the management good work.
The hotel is very dog friendly (free of charge) and they are gladly seen.
We felt very good and would gladly come again. read more

We were on a short break spontaneously in the forester's house (main building) and pleasantly surprised; friendly staff, toboggans free of charge for a deposit, nice, clean room and a great modern bathroom. Value for money more than very good.
The inkludierte breakfast was delicious; now we know why it constantly is full... , we will be back, promised! read more

For families perfect with children from about one and a half years, as it is very lots of stairs and with baby carriage a bit complicated. The check in was somewhat herruntergerattert and left no air around and felt very rehearsed. The family room very nice and spacious with separate bedroom for the kids and new bath.
The restaurant nice, the food delicious but one waits sometimes a bit going to. The children's menus are also really great. The breakfast buffet is ok, but could anwechslingsreicher are.
There is also a kid's corner in the restaurant.
The location is perfect. ... Exactly opposite is the ice rink, 500 meters further the valley station the wurmbergseilbahn cable car. Where you sledge, skiing (if enough snow) or nice hiking can.
In the other direction is within walking distance the ski slope on Rathaus. On the tobogganing, without lift with a small drag lift the first skischwünge exercise can. In the town also walking distance there are a pool, which included is available. (with nonswimmer pools) in exactly the same street there are countless cafes, restaurants and shop's. unfortunately there is always empty walls the picture braunlages somewhat diminish. So the hotel is as mentioned perfect for families, however guests their peace would look for i alone because of the kinderlautstärke advise you not to go there. Everything else fits! read more

Planned was a winter skiing, the because of the lack of snow in an active holiday ended. But all not at all that bad. The resin offers beside the winter sports lots of interesting and nice alternatives, in combination with the harz card clear advantages and expenditure for activities relatively narrow stops.
Hauptentscheidungskriterium for forsthaus, was the central location to the ski-and rodelpiste, as well as the direct location on the shopping street, dining and other activities the with a child taken into account will (swimming, ice skating, etc.). Everything is within walking distance in less than 5 minutes ... walking distance.
Now to the hotel. A bit skeptical due to some bad reviews especially in relation to the gastronomy we were then more than positive surprised. We travel a lot and are depending on the resort with the criteria of three to 5 star buildings intimately. The rooms are reasonable renovated and corresponds to the standard (booked directly in the hotel and not in the guesthouse usual) and well equipped. It wasn't missing anything. The cleanliness was very good. Consistently friendly staff, from the reception over the gastronomy to the cleaning staff. The children- or family friendliness is again particularly praiseworthy!
Also the gastronomy in our experience positively surprised. At the breakfast buffet it wasn't missing anything. We were the first two days in the place to evening food, the subsequent three days then in the hotel. The restaurant was always well-attended and the not only of hotel guests. The kitchen was good, the food came quickly and it was always very good care of us.
All in all we are with this three stars hotel in a central location very satisfied and happily recommend it. read more

We were there at the beginning of december for a christmas short break in this hotel. Very positive we noticed the very prudent, friendly staff, rapid service, clean rooms and the kind pre-christmas design of the whole hotels. To point out are besides the fine cuisine, the delicious breakfast buffet (especially for the price tea lovers-a large selection!) And also here everything very clean! Wellness-and other offers we didn't use, so we cannot rate. All together for us a romantic stay - gladly again! read more

Was great for families is. The luxury rooms, the a with a connecting door closed room integrated and very well decorated. So children could move freely. You feel with children not 'disturbing'. By taking into consideration the age of the building the rooms are very modernly furnished and clean. The hotel is very cozy and not so large. The service is very good! In the restaurant also very pleasant opposite the children! We booked half board and what really great was, that we were from a menu our half board (starter, main course, dessert) collect and during the opening hours ... of the restaurant (11.30 hours until 22:00 o'clock) could take. The breakfast as a buffet was always plenty and diverse. read more

Prior to short excursion with full family and dog. I had at the book mentioned only once we wedding anniversary and then a family room booked ( the bed from the child with in the room the parents) and upon arrival we were upgraded to a family suite for the same price, because the child with such an occasion not in the room the parents with sleep could. Brilliant, extra toilet and bathroom with a shower and a tub ( everything brand new and stylish) huge living room with double bed and sofa. Everywhere rose petals and red heart! Everything ... was very clean and comfortable! In the morning a coffee to the room in/out privileges and we were given a whole pot! Breakfast buffet very good and everything was clean. There were all really very friendly and nice been. So we can only recommend it! Definitely times swingolf the kurpark try. Power super have fun! read more

We have a group of 22 people in september a weekend in old forester's lodge spent. Attractive house with a cosy restaurant.
The hallways in the main building were a bit dark and on the gästehaus could from the outside also some work, but it is now time, not all at once. The rooms were very good. read more
