Good hotel as a part of a round trip

Hotel lies in a 'hotel-settlement'. A few kilometres away to the airport. Nearby there are shopping possibilities. Best with a car to reach. The hotel offers a tennis court and swimming pool in. There is an indian restaurant (but currently closed) food in the lobby bar was possible. Lots of guests had dinner via ordered room service. Breakfast is offered- fullbreakfast costs $27 per person but good. Hotel was clean and tidy. Iron, water digester, mini bar, safety deposit box is available. Wi-fi for 30 minutes in the lobby for every free of charge. Parking free. Laundry available. Was as ... a part of our trip good. read more

For an overnight stay the crown Plaza is a good choice, especially with a nice view direction mountains at dawn in connection with a great Vogelkonzert, if the Australian red centre the day begins.
The general State of the hotel, the room and the furniture is however rather with the words. ' ageing'. To describe. The breakfast buffet was reasonable.
Value for money we would be okay to classify, if you consider, everything on so many kilometres transported there must be.
The hotel pool was however many not guests of the hotel used, what you are a paying guest not ... really fair finds.
For a nice view over Alice springs and the MAC Donnell mountains is worthwhile the drive to the Anzac hill with Anzac Memorial, in sunset especially. read more

Getting old

The hotel is altogether already getting a bit old, this can be especially at the pool and the plastic. The towels by the pool could also be replaced. The rooms were very big and reasonable. The breakfast was really good, compared to other 4 star hotels on the trip. At least times ordinary coffee -but beware there are 2 machines! To the restaurants you should light the temperatures( 40 degrees) better with the taxi drive, on foot is it up to the overlander steakhouse good 15 minutes
In short: for one night really good and hardly alternative in Alice springs. read more

Here you can stay thoroughly, but it is compared to other Crowne Plaza hotels much worse. We must receive a letter in the hotel, this was from the front desk but not found. First after repeated back and forth and with pressure from the tour operator the letter went back on. Foreign language skills were non-existent. Breakfast was expensive unverschähnt, of poor quality and little choice. Sorry, but canned jam is in such a hotel. The room is used well equipped and is reasonably clean. The pool area is nice, but only a few well maintained. The hotel lies on ... the outskirts of Alice spring, so you should have a car to to the center to come. Around the hotel there are no restaurants, supermarkets or similar read more

Dated, leaky Hotel archived

The hotel is a little out of the way, you definitely need a car, but for excursions outside Alice Springs anyway recommended would be. The reception area was large and clean. The hotel room was dated and leaky. During our stay as it was raining heavily, had to be placed several bucket, to catch the water. By the damp decor did not muffle the whole course area. The room was okay, but the carpet should be replaced. There is also a pool, which we didn't use. The balcony was available, but due to a plague could not be used. Hotel ... renovation is needed. read more

A wonderful place to relax after a busy day in the desert. The hotel is quite spread out, the cockatoos would fly in and perch in sit in front of the balcony on the trees, the rooms are very large and clean. Breakfast can be described as very good. We have enjoyed our brief stay anyway. read more

First choice for Alice Springs archived

We stayed for 2 days at the Crown Plaza Alice Springs - we booked it at the Holiday Inn website for 149 AUD plus breakfast (21 AUD/person). This is really cheap for a hotel of this category. And the hotel has good impression on the pictures and adventures just confirmed. We were upgraded to a two-room suite with about 50 sqm, fairly large bathroom and balcony. The pool is quite large, a small pool for kids and a spa tub are also available. Plenty of chairs and tables and a small pool bar with drinks and snacks are also available. ... The breakfast was the only negative--everything presented quite carelessly, the choice left a little to be desired. As the hotel is a bit away from the center, but no alternative. Yet it is a little Foreign location not a drawback - the hotel is conveniently located in a very quiet area and in the evening a journey cost by taxi from the city center just 10 AUD (approx. 6 Euro). The staff is professional and quick to help with any questions and uncomplicated - so life should be. The hotel is absolutely the first choice in Alice Springs !! read more
