The hotel hod is a modern building, which is located directly on the shore of the dead sea is. If you are traveling from north to en bokek in-driven, it is as 2. building on the left hand side. The hotel has 203 room. From the outside awaked the building the appearance of a rectangular box. Inside the atmosphere is fortunately different. The hotel seems in good condition to be. As it actually behind the scenes looks, i cannot judge. The public areas were spotless. The hotel overall a clean and clean impression. Half-board (breakfast and dinner) offered. We have ... these benefits so booked. There is but also the possibility, as a part of a board a mittagsmahlzeit drives. Through our travel agency this was not to book. Offered in this hotel for all guests free worldwide make phone calls from the hotel out. Furthermore are internet portal available, which one free of charge use can.
At the time of our stay was the largest part of the guests from Russia. Next door lived many israeli tourists in this hotel. read more

We were already about 15 times to guest in the hotel Hod. So far we were always very satisfied. The service was super, one was always friendly and always tried, to satisfy the guest.
Before our traveling this year we had in advance some of the questions, we emailed abschickten. This e-mail we sent three times from, we got no response. Of Al we then after our arrival evenings checked in, we were amazed, how unwelcoming we were treated.
After a few days was clear to us: the hotel has a new owner and this tried with all the means ..., the profit increase. Especially we noticed, that on some days many locals, some of their food and drinks the consumption brought, and guests, the only two or three days remained, the swimming pool, the indoor pool and the beach of the dead sea and populated. This guests provided, of course, for a huge commotion, under the regular customers had to suffer. Especially at the time the Pessachfestes you had for example at the swimming pool the impression, it Somewhere in India landed.
For us, the most downside: you had the glorious idea, a so-called ' winter garden' on the wing to plug in. As as only spatial possibility the space on swimming pool came in question, the place around the pool around 'good'. Thus must all the guests together, accordingly it is very tight.
The rooms, the last time in year 2000 renovated, had a repeated renovation urgently necessary. Our room was only cleaned very superficially.
At the end also two very positive things: Phone is the world to landlines free, internet also. read more

Urgently in need of renovation. Staff ( especially at the bar and at the front desk) very poorly trained and rude. We at 15:45 from the pool komplimentiert, the until 16 o'clock is open. The fire stairs are with junk cluttered. The whole facility has its best days and is partially grubby ( armchair in the lounge ). The sea is nice. Positive: access via a bridge with mats (the salt is very sharp ). Luckily we were only 2 days. read more

Nice, clean hotel directly at the beach. We were very satisfied. Could already at 10 o'clock check in. The food is diverse and there is something for everyone. From sushi to ice everything was offered. A cocktail you should at the bar but rather does not order. The staff the own card knew and the taste of the creation is arguing. The location is for a short trip to the dead sea ok., but for a long stay rather 'boring'. Lively streets and bars one looks for in vain. Wi-Fi there was free of charge in the entire hotel. The ... audience is almost only Russian. read more

All in all a very lovely stay and no complaints. However charge you for WiFi for guests in the room expensive charges from. When a cure, where one evening, not too much outside of the hotel undertake many free time and would really be included. I went every day to the neighboring hotel lot free Wi-Fi and went where you even for the guests 1 computer in the lobby, and two in the pool restaurant was placed in the room free of charge. That would but for a hotel hod actually be possible? Well. I didn't think it was so ... good. read more

We had a very enjoyable holiday, everything was very wonderful and calming. The condition of the hotel was very good and the workers are very friendly and nice. The hotel is friendly, almost all tourists signs are in German. The room was clean and with a good smell, the bed was very comfortable, a good air conditioner. The dining room is large and offers Zimmlich Bereichvolles food. The hotel has a private beach, you can go swimming midnight. The spa is large and offers a large salt water pool, a jacuzzi and a sulfur pool. You can dine was not ... so good aussgehen, ( due to being on the area only two bars), but the hotel offers a good entertainment every night. read more

The hotel is like all hotels in Israel a product of 1970 's but enough kept in good condition, simple but in very good value for money. Guests from the age of 16 years, which after the other hotels (mostly five star) and the experiences ( pool is a Playground for the really many children) a delight. They make you feel a bit like in a time warp in the 1970 's before, but all in all thoroughly recommended, direct beach access included. read more

We were very pleased with the hotel. We were welcomed very competent and was a pleasant stay. The rooms were clean and nicely decorated with a view of the dead sea. Dinner buffet was rich with some local specialties. The hotel is run Kosher. The bathing area or wellness was clean. The access to the dead sea, you had to use a hotelleigenen access. read more

I blindly chose The Hod because I had previously been there 9 and 6 years ago and was always very satisfied. The hotel is right at the entrance to Ein Bokek, on the beach of the Dead Dea, has 210 rooms, a spa area and a mini meeting room.
In the past, there were very few guests staying there, the service in the spa area was very courteous and it was clean.
Unfortunately, that has changed completely: the hotel was fully booked, I (40) felt like I was in a nursing home, nothing but guests above 65, who all squeezed ... in around the small pool in the spa area and gabbed in such volumes that you couldn't hear yourself think, and completely filled up all the towel racks. That probably has to do with the hotel's new focus, with health events and special conditions for Israeli seniors. When asked, the responsible lifeguard said that the water would never be changed (because you would have to heat it up to almost 20 degrees), but rather filled up a little only when necessary. Accordingly, hair and other particles were visible in it.
It was so horrifying for me that stopped going in. Luckily, it was warm enough to go swimming in the sea on the second day, but I believed the hotel description that the "bad UV" rays were filtered out due to the depth and you virtually couldn't get a sunburn. Wrong! Even three days after my stay, my stomach and cleavage were bright red. (and that after one hour in the morning and one in the afternoon) read more

It is a cozy hotel with its best times a little behind it. The service is impecable and the food typical for the country. Positive is that they have a direct access to the beach, which is a lifeguard on duty. Enough beach chairs, etc. There are available. In the evening, it was a little noisy in the lobby / bar, as there were a lot of tourist groups in this hotel again. Opposite of the hotel you will find a small new shopping mall. For a short stay at the Toden sea I would recommend it. read more

Very nice beach hotel in the dead sea with a large spa area. The private beach is right on your doorstep and easy to reach by a garden, continues to be drinking water is available free of charge. The beach is not crowded, chairs and places in the shade were sufficiently available. The hotel also features a Süßwasserschwimmbad, a Salzwasserhallenbad a whirlpool, a sulfur bath ( additional charge) as well as a sauna ( in the wilderness? ). Massages are very cheap and recommended. The rooms are very large with safe, phone, TV and Föh equipped. Breakfast and dinner was ... varied. A small tourist shopping center with MC Donald is a three-minute walk away. Daily trips to Felsenfestung Massada or to the Catherine's Monastery are offered. read more

The hotel is located on the seaside HOD of the dead sea with direct access to this one. So the location of the hotel could be given the small village EIN bokek very good. The place has of course almost nothing to offer and is surrounded by the desert Negev and mountains and of course, and that is what here, from: Dead Sea. This place with almost minus 500 meters under sea-level and in order to keep the deepest place in the world, this of course a huge advantage: an absolute relaxation. Through the high proportion of oxygen, which also ... has a large proportion of bromine has developed, as well as the dry heat, circa 2 days undertake an absolute "no matter" atmosphere. The head is exempt seduced by its concerns. Having stayed 4 times I stayed there, I was always found out and from other confirmed. Additionally, the depth of the village filtered sun, so that you can almost no sunburn. The best travel time is Clearly April/May and September/October, but then again dark early. These periods are also high season and many Westerners from D, A and I are in the majority, most of the time around also treatments to your offer treatments for respiratory illnesses, as Schuppenflechte, neurodermatitis or Vitilego in manageable. In July/August are over 40 degrees and night in it cooled down also not noticeably from and winds through musically inclined even a annoying Föhneffekt in the evening. At this point, lots of locals with families and Arabs in the majority. Moreover, we could not enjoy the dead sea, then it Badewannencharakter. The hotel is great air-conditioned and it is a hidden treasure, from outside the lobby or up to our room. If you really want to get away from it all, is here for two weeks is the place to go. If you want to have Äktschn or a family vacation, avoid this place. I can recommend the hotel lot. It has made it a regular hotel the German developed and was also the food is a bit more in German. Although it as opposed to the HOD only 3 stars, I think it was simple, but definitely Functional equipped. ( Bars/balcony). Definitely will take you from here to two or three weeks dead sea SUPERRELAXED and free from all Make home, need a bit, but according to get back on your toes. read more
