The hotel was as a part of a round trip included. Of course we got us prior to when Holidaycheck we inquired and were over the recent negative reviews concerned. An attempt the hotel to change the organizers of the trip confounded. So make the best of it, we also managed.
To our assessment:
The bungalows (buren) are already somewhat older. But all were clean and with all the necessary ( safe, kettle, hair dryer) equipped. Tv does not exist. A ceiling fan ensures that the cooling. All bures you have a wonderful view over the complex and the sea. ... See pictures.
The staff seems to here and there somewhat surly and not übermotiviert. Our tip here, on the people and talk. Fast you get nice contact.
Unfortunately is the complex far away from other places. Also in the area gives merely another resort, the a few hundred meters away. At the hotel is a village of the locals. It is a small walk on the beach with spontaneous contemplation in a bar or restaurant excluded. For some guests this was however crucial precisely this resort to book.
Price: for us inappropriate. Example the breakfast, the included was. The buffet is not straight sumptuous and basically consists of toast, coffee, tea and fruits. You can then egg dishes, like pancakes, omelet or fried egg order. The egg is however naked, would you onions costs the 2 f $and ham again 2 F $. All self-service except the egg. A lunch or dinner costs on average 24 F $and for the preserved performance too expensive.
Beach
At the beach are loungers free of charge available. One gets bath-towels every day fresh at the front desk. The beach chair mattresses you had to get yourself. The beach is flat into the water and snorkelers in the proximity to the beach a few colorful fish and sea star see. At the beach there is a diving center, from the daily tours are offered.
Animation
In the afternoon a free coffee with cakes offered. This is a beautiful opportunity other guests to meet. After the dinner the program of the next day announced. And then there was every evening a small entertainment program. We found that very pleasant, also, because our small crab in the crab race won and 30 F $had tabled. The guests of course too many from Australia and new Zealand. But also europeans and americans were there.
Due to the good contact within our travel group and the other guests we had a great time in this resort. If we again Fiji should book we would however this hotel not again visit. We had, as already mentioned, made the best of it. read more

In the next larger town to arrive, one must Tourenmanager effort. Everything very inconvenient

Never again! Staff more than unfriendly and unmotivated. Food and drinks outrageous overpriced. The breakfast with toast, jams, egg, Bacon and fruit reflects the bad impression again.

The atmosphere with a little feeling the imprisonment searches, excessive price loves, for example Wi-Fi 10F $for three hours, when it did work, and unfriendly staff ( except Anna and tour manager) for rainy day of vacation needs, there is in my opinion certainly in the right place. In the hotel management - a gray-haired lady from New Zealand, identified as a line in the landscape with especially unfriendly character and negative computational properties, they trucked 20% under current rate. It is the mentality of the residents of, that everything was a bit slower went. Through the remote location( 1 hour drive to next city) to the hotel bound. Excursions are offered, however relatively expensive. The food itself had mostly in the hotel to be taken, since it other opportunities not offered. In addition it was then also quite expensive.

The hotel is in a large tropical garden built. The rooms are clean and well maintained. The breakfast buffet a dream and it wasn't missing anything. The staff are so friendly and authentic, that one not at all want to. The prices in the restaurant I have not considered overpriced considered. My son, 17 year old, and I spent two weeks in Crusoe's retreat and had an unbelievably beautiful time. If you are planning a trip to the south, for you due to the expensive flights (1700 €per person with us) very easy on the wallet, then a plague but some concern. Is it really so much more beautiful than, for example, in Thailand, it is worth it to spend so much money? Which hotel is the best? Where is the nicest beaches? I have for a long time with around such issues, and I thank God for the South Seas ... and the island of Viti Levu and Thank goodness for the Crusoe's retreat decided. My son loved it, and so it was relatively spontaneously in the South Seas. The location and the hotel in general was really great for us. All, from the management to the service, were very nice. We had an ocean view bungalow, which was only about two minutes walk from the beach. The spacious and well appointed for them. The second shower outside was very nice and especially the terrace, from where we had a wonderful view of the garden and sea enjoyed. The food was great. A hot breakfast is already included in the price of the bungalows and the chef knows, as you have to boil eggs, so that they are in the same way, as we want it to be! At noon and in the evening there were also two à la carte, three or four course meals, which were very reasonably priced. The hallways were very well prepared, a big compliment to pop in the kitchen. The portions were not huge, but plenty of. In my opinion correctly. You will get even my son and this may mean a bit. The resort is a small school, with the we took four dives. What you get to see at the diving, depends on the accident together, but what we saw, may not be much of a chance. In three of the four dives, we saw turtles, on our second dive even a huge whale shark, the snorkeling instructor only very rarely or even some even never got to see. Don is a very good snorkeling instructor and dives are very well cared for. Despite the second diving Okay omen all process, I will never forget the with Mesake (another snorkeling instructor), showed us the splendor of the kids the creatures, who alone would probably not notice. My son and I often go jogging (of course only as far as ways and condition permitted, most of the time we began with jogging and then went on to our hiking), often on the beach, at the end of a few times through the interior. What we experienced, we would not want to miss: stunning landscapes, beaches (as the previous bounty advertising), meeting with monkeys and Leguanen in the jungle, as well as with the locals, the could have not have been nicer. By a local family with seven! Children we were spontaneously, with hands and feet or less by chance across the monkeys had invited talk, for lunch. For us one of the nicest experiences of our trip. The warmth of the inhabitants, the little at the tourism deserve, has surprised us a lot. My son and the 16-year-old Tapuari, the oldest son of the family, are thick became friends, and, although the two cultures may be different. This one-time impressions and the resort Crusoe's retreat have contributed, that this vacation, maybe even the last common vacation with my son, in a wonderful be remembered. For me as an experienced traveler veteran, this was the best trip of my life, the next year I, together with my wife then repeat it. read more

It was a great vacation. The hotel is located with its 29 Buren (divided into three room category) very remote and quiet on the beach, which you had to walk over a four kilometer long bumpy road.
Our room was above the hotel area and was simple but functional installed, with a view of the palm trees and the South Seas is much nicer (a change to a different room in town).
The food in the hotel was good and varied (some à la carte, partly theme buffets).
By a notice at the front desk of possible activities during the ... day and in the evening.
However, there was also a book of various excursions possible, which for a longer stay was to be recommended.
In addition to beach chairs at the beach and by the pool is also the possibility to dives on the reef. Or you will find at the nature on the ground by a walk on the beach.
