Short to my person: i have stayed in numerous 4.5 and hotels of a higher category the world to guest! My reviews is always objective and neutral miss! If you my assessment designed, you assess me positive! Typical club hotel the Riu-chain, unfortunately already a bit outdated. The lobby makes a very welcoming, open and warm impression! Unfortunately, there were also some faults, such as the swimming pool. This is tight, the loungers(cushions) are dirty and not welcoming and a horrible floor coating ( straßenflair and risk of injury for the toes!) Decorates the complete klubanlage. Here is clearly ... in need of renovation! Also reserve, what the hotel of course nothing can and only the. Some guests is responsible, always in the morning at about six o'clock the loungers. Hey people, what is that? Relaxed and let the 'normal' guests the chance, in a beautiful spot! However i guess all these unpleasant pool area and avoid the gorgeous beach (enough chairs), as we, always to use! To the rooms later on more accurate. The dishes (surprisingly tasty fish) and evening cocktails are very good, fine 4 *-class. Wifi is every day for 90 minutes free, very good (however only in the lobby). Guest structure is mixed, many canadians, americans but also german and french. The cleaning of the rooms was (after regular tips) average! (forgotten towels, water bottles, filling up that mini bar.). read more

    Tired and worn. Musty smell. Size alright. Air conditioning and fan were available, but a strange layout (mini bar in the bathroom?!). Balcony with plastic chairs available. Bathroom fittings furred up, mirror occur. All in all on the threshold and acceptable, here is urgent action. But were only for sleeping in the room and that was also well sunday

    A main restaurant (besucht) three specialty restaurants: steakhouse (besucht), mexican (besucht), asiate (not used), a pool bar (not used), beach restaurant (besucht).     The hotel is located in 2. series in playacar, a neighborhood. By foot is the beach about minutes, indicated clubcar 3 minutes away. Via taxi is Playa del Carmen (5. ave) for 70 pesos about minutes away (night life, shopping, etc.). In front of the hotel are always two taxis available. For excursions we were always at the lobby of the hotel picked up, distances are ok. Road to the airport: 45-50 minutes.

Great hotel. We would have remained gladly longer. Rooms were clean and large. As for a Riu-hotel usual, an all-inclusive hotel. 90 minutes on the day in the hotel lobby. Staff very pleasant. Spoke partly also german. Entertainment not intrusive. Very many americans, canadians and british in the hotel. From the age everything was represented. TUI-travel agency (Chantal) every day on site and very helpful and decent. read more

    The rooms were large and clean. Beds were ok. Air conditioning good to regulate, perhaps somewhat loud. Balcony we didn't use. This also applies to the existing television. Safe available. Mini bar every two days filled for free (water, soft drinks, but also different alcoholic beverages). Telephone in the room didn't use it. Large shower with lovely soft water. Bathroom and toilet clean. Eddy has good services out. Have every day different animals from the towels on the bed (elephants, etc.) Found. Staff was very friendly. In the sports bar you can 24 hours the day snacks such as pizza, hot dogs, sandwiches or fruit get. And, of course, tortillas. There were also numerous bars and a disco, which we however not test. The buffets were varied. There was a lot of mexican food, but also pizza and hamburgers for many americans. Also a wide choice of salads, fruits and desserts. Breakfast was also delicious.     The staff was very nice and courteous. Spoke both spanish as well as english. Partially even german. The rooms were cleaned daily and were very clean. The mini bar (inclusive) was refilled every two days. In the hotel there was an area for children. In the RIU Yucatan (neighboring hotel), whose facilities you could use, there is a doctor with 24 hours willingness. Not recommendable is however unfortunately the diving center scuba caribe. Here you need no tauchärztliche certificate, that you ever diving must, but, if you got sick and obviously not diving.

    Beach/pool were very good. Beach chairs at the beach were somewhat scarce, were on demand but organized. Umbrellas at the beach no. The entertainment we hardly used, was also not intrusive.     Close to the playacar -Plaza. On foot half hour until Playa del Carmen. With the taxi in around 5 to 10 minutes for about 70 pesos. Beach was on the other side of the street behind the RIU Yucatan. It drives however a very nice hotel employee with a sort of golf-cart all 5 minutes to the beach and back (from 9a 13 o'clock and from 15 to 18 hours). Was however on foot also not a problem. Hotel lies very quiet in playacar. Hotel zone. Taxis are constantly available. Excursions in the hotel many offered (some tour operator). TUI had good excursions for offer. Unfortunately no useful diving center nearby. Scuba caribe in the hotel not recommendable.

The RIU Tequila is a very well maintained hotel. In the hotel looks you constantly staff the whole day are industrious and area in spotless condition is. Also in of the lobby was always someone to sweep or otherwise which work to do. Wi-fi is available free of charge in of the lobby available (90 minutes/day), otherwise there was in the sports bar, internet, surcharge. There are all sorts of guests there, there were older couples to find but also many families during our stay, there were guests in the Tequila. read more

    The food was always good and diverse.     The hotel is located in playacar a 'neighborhood'. To the beach it is on foot about 5 minutes, but there is also from the hotel a shuttle to the beach, very pleasant. But also on foot go is definitely doable. ☺ to the airport to Cancun one drives about 45 minutes. To Playa del Carmen in the 5. ave. One arrives about minutes walk. One runs by many villas and other hotels past, really worth seeing, if you at the beach walk, you can also in the 5. ave. At the hotel you can but also a taxi to the 5. ave. Take.

First class staff-super care by TUI. An evening agenda of the finest quality we were 3 weeks and would have liked again 2 refilled. Generally accessible toilets always well maintained and okay. We spend a dream vacation in Playa del Carmen in the RIU Tequilla. The Tequila is located in playacar, a hotelsektor in several hotels are. Of which the Riu hotels: Riu Palace Mexico, Riu Palace Riviera Maya, Club Hotel Riu Tequila, hotel RIU Yucatan, hotel RIU Playacar, hotel RIU Lupita. Except for the palace buildings, all units. The Tequila is very tidy and clean. All around everything green spaces between palms and bushes are the zimmerkomplexe, bars and restaurants. The all-inclusive offer in the Tequila is great! Of high quality, varied and delicious food at all times. Best drinks the ... shuttle from the airport to the hotel is about 1 hour. On arrival everything goes very quickly, since the organization is great. The beach one reaches comfortably in 5 minutes walk through a nice hotel. No matter when you arrives, are always chairs available. For shopping one is in 10 minutes by cab in Playa del Carmen, on foot it was about 30 minutes at the beach along. And a small tip: with pesos you get much better and cheaper by, as with Dollar! And also only there money change, the exchange rate is much better. Generally in all prices recommendable! Briefly said: it was a magnificent vacation. To the (wonderful) beach there is 5 minutes on foot, however goes from 9:00 to 13:00 and from 15:00 to 18:00 a shuttle bus (golf cart) to of the lobby direct to the beach. The staff are very attentive, accommodating really friendly however not too obtrusive. For the food is really something for everyone there & we had at no time the hygiene to complain about. The shoppingstrasse to Playa del Carmen one drives with the taxi about 5 minutes you can however also directly at the beach until ... to Playa del Carmen walk (around 30 to 40 minutes). The shuttle from the airport has problem-free folded. On the way there we were directly with nameplate on exit and with the home journey was a bus already in the background reserved for us was at 2:30 o'clock in front of the hotel ready as we unfortunately already at 7 o'clock in Cancun flew. This hotel we could really recommend and will definitely come again! read more

This hotel is not recommendable. The rooms are old and stopped comparing. A decent closet is not available. The food is - apart from the salads-little tasty, badly peppered and prepared. The designated kids club is non existent, a care of children does not take place. The children's playground has scrap value. Also the available additional crib was ancient and partly broken. Positive was the free wi-fi-use. The beverages at the beach are from the machines and are barely edible. Overall very badly, we will not come again and advise in any case. We can many positive feedback only confirm. Very nice, friendly staff. Room service very clean, a daily nice hand-made small insects on towels on ' m bed. Kitchen really very good and tasted great. The bamboo and the steakhouse also very recommendable. Delicious good drinks, despite good and proper stress for the staff get you everything with a smile served. Unfortunately was with us the weather not so great otherwise it would have been perfect, well no one can. The connection to Playa del Carmen with the taxi 70 Peso (circa 4,40 Euro), for 4 people also no problem. ... The trip after chizen itza we have TUI made, not cheap but the guide Joop a cologne young, has the money puts. Entertainment in the evening- show, was mostly right great. Would come again. read more

We were now already for the 2'. In the RIU Tequila and are still as enthusiastic as a first time. I can't understand as some write here they are at 10 o'clock to the beach and got no chairs more that is just stupid yap, we are usually always only after 11 o'clock to the beach and loungers received. The food is also very tasty something for everyone. The hotel is located about 500 meters away from beach. The rooms (double room) are very spacious and absolutely clean. The double beds are very big and the mattresses very comfortable (not too soft). Lobby and dining room are very attractive and in the typical Riu-style. The dinner can also outside on of the terrace to be taken. The dining room is air-conditioned. The dinner in buffet form was attractively presented, more than enough (fish, seafood, meat, various side dishes, pasta, vegetables and so on.) And very good quality. Curiously, only the mexican specialities always poor. The lunch we ... only in the RIU Yucatan in the beach bar restaurant. For us for lunch adequate-mostly snacks and neatly arranged selection with little variation. In the restaurant larger selection, however only in the air-conditioned dining room possible, as the terrace lunch is not opened. Lunch in the RIU Tequila there is also only of the pool bar – not in the restaurant. Quality of the drinks and tasty. The complex in the Tequila is very cramped. By the pool a few pool chairs, right next to it Volleyball- and basketball court. The entertainment plays right around the cramped pool area instead. But since we anyway the entire day at the beach were and facilities for disabled guests RIU Yucatan use it, it didn't bother us. Beach very fully (from about 10:00 a. m. no chairs longer available), as the beach section of the hotels Tequila and Yucatan used.     For my taste somewhat small room, but overall adequate. Large king-size bed and plenty of furniture for the accommodation of the clothes. Balcony and air conditioning and large bathroom. Everything quite well in shot, normal usage. The tv did not go first, but within the time, which we the food were, jagged replaced... As mentioned, the service was excellent. Unfortunately a bit poorly soundproofed to the corridor, but i have always on vacation ear plugs for everyone, so that also here actually nothing to complain about is.

    There are two big pools and a small children's swimming pool. Everything in good condition and clean. The animation was thank god not intrusive and limited menu. I have not taken part in it, felt however also not disturbed by. Sport can be seen from all the surrounding Riu-hotels use. At the beach there is a large diving center (quite expensive, but good care 1 tl + 2-4 divers, small groups, good facilities). Evenings there was daily events, not so my case, but partly also quite funny. All in all, you can do.

    The hotel is located in 'ortsteil' playacar. Surrounded from other hotels the upscale segment. As already described above, it is in 2. number. That leads however not to the devaluation, but very on the contrary... Thereby it was a bit quiet, relaxing and above all were all facilities spotlessly clean. On foot you can get in a bit more than 30 minutes to Playa del Carmen. In the other direction one reaches really on foot secluded beaches. It is a rental car (in the hotel for rent). Herewith you can Yucatan great to explore. Taxis were also very cheap. So you can just minutes from mini markets to the shopping mall reach everything. Also for excursions or to the diving optimal location.

The vacation was a real success, the hotel also well chosen. Especially are all people so extremely friendly and we were with every question immediately and happy to help us! Rooms are large, shower especially, and are every day cleaned. The beach is really well very nice. Unfortunately there was no beach bar more, the in 2012 was diminished. So you had to still to the pool walk, around drinks to get. We mostly missed that. The buffet was very big, at any time of the day. Were always delicious things %blank%! I personally a bit too much on the ... americans designed with burger, fries, pizza and so on a lot did not taste, but one could do enough other then select. Altogether delicious. Especially the steak house and the asian are recommendable. And a small tip: with pesos you get much better and cheaper by, as with Dollar! And also only there money change, the exchange rate is much better. Generally in all prices recommendable! Have fun! read more

It was our first time in Playa del Carmen of at the end of november 2012 - christmas 2012. Hotel, room, and service were reasonable. Food was varied and very good. All in all, it was the value for money more than reasonable. (for the price paid by us) Definitely again. read more
