I spent together with my friend on a city trip in Barcelona overall 3 nights in this hotel.
The location, what public transportation subject, is nothing special, there the next subway station nevertheless some minutes (10) away from the hotel is. Big selling point for the choice this hotel but it was the location at the beach, since i in the evening gladly walks, and the prospect enjoy wanted. The walks are easy alright: once over the street and already is one at the beach (felt 200 metres). The view itself unfortunately leaves to be desired, since there were no ... balconies to be, and also another building the view hidden. (i would recommend the location via Google street view more exactly under the magnifying glass to take).
The staff at the hotel were very nice and were willing to help - a communication in english was possible without a problem.
The biggest criticism was for me the room dar: the floor and the furnishing was not new anymore, but ageing and 'worn' from. Also the bed consists only of a all metal parts, where the mattress is. The room also had a door to a room next door, but was locked, but any noises and voices from the other rooms noisy audible made.
In the bath there was no private shower, but merely a bath with a shower curtain. The radiators in the bathroom rostetet a bit at the interchanges.
Conclusion: the price the hotel was alright, the staff there is nothing to complain about. Also the cleanliness was available, was however not as' spotless' over, as the floor and the furnishing just old. Generally the hotel i would but nevertheless recommend. read more

The hotel has a good location quite close to the beach, beautiful, clean rooms, the subway ( metro) is only 7 minutes away by foot and the beach promenade one is also fast.

The hotel is recommendable for a city tour. Right on the doorstep is located a bus stop with the one into town comes, as well as a short hike of 10 minutes is also the subway to reach.
It offers on a day beach plan (if you in the summer/summer) drives, as in 500 meters to reach is.
I had only booked accommodation and breakfast. The breakfast was consistently good. Unfortunately but there every day the same option, one had thus never a variation in it. read more

A great city tour in Barcelona with a hotel close to the beach, but at the same time good connection to public transportation - so our request was, in large parts been met!
A few details in addition, in particular to the hotel:
* room:
- spacious layout, sufficient space; closets may however more shelves stand.
- furniture and floor covering were rather older, partly worn out; bed/ mattresses were absolutely okay.!
- bathroom was large enough, even with a bidet.
- cleanliness is ok absolutely given; daily change of towels and cleaning spot.
- view is lateral to ... the beach and sea given.
- balcony is unfortunately not available.
- tv available, unfortunately only ZDF than German speaking channels available.
* front desk:
- questions were answered; taxi on demand as desired.
- unfortunately only English and spanish, no German.
* food ( only breakfast; restaurant we didn't visit):
- selection is every day the same, for those on a city break but sufficient.
- cheese, sausage, local ham, roasted bacon, sausage, beans and scrambled egg ( the latter partly not enjoyable, depending on the 'shape' time edible).
- coffee and milk very watery; juices ok.
* location:
- really good, if you want to stay on site with the conditions in.
- hotel lies on the edge of the former workers/ fabrikviertels Poblenou.
- beach and sea within walking distance in 5 to 10 minutes reachable, as green parks.
- ( new) district diagonal mar within walking distance in 15 to 30 minutes reachable.
- traffic connection good ( metro-line 4 approximately 10 minutes out, bus 41-the Placa Catalunya- approximately 3 minutes out, bus touristy front entrance approximately 3 minutes out).
- taxi to the airport costs ( for 2 people with 2 suitcases ) circa 45 Euro.
* environment:
- beach and sea one must exactly such as the city to look at itself; this is part of!
- recommendable is a stroll through the approximately 5 minutes out lying Ramblas del Poblenou, the 'original' Ramblas only inferior, as less central and not at all so crowded; but the restaurants, their quality and price it partly very convincing ( inside tip: ' biennal ' with top tapas)!
To end on a good note:
Wifi is in the hotel available, however at the front desk to register.
Better: the entire beach and in large parts of the city center ( even on the montjuic) is Wi-Fi free of charge available; this is where the city Barcelona free available, excellent! read more

The hotel combined beach- and city break together. It is right on the waterfront from Barcelona. This makes it very quiet. Until to the center it is about half an hour by the metro ( yellow line). The rooms are not the latest in comfort and design, but it was ok. The breakfast was also okay, however nothing special. The service was nice, but sometimes a bit helpless. read more

Who city-and beach vacation in Barcelona connect, you can this hotel take. You go only 5 minutes to the beach Mar Bella. To the center from Barcelona one comes either with the 46 he bus or metro L4, the stop Poblenou is about 900 meters away.
From the outside the hotel makes no large impression, it is part of a residential complex in this new, modern district, the rooms are however reasonable, as well as the breakfast. read more

The breakfast -service was great, as to small extra wishes was received. The doors were the opening and closing a bit noisy, otherwise very quiet hotel. The proximity to the beach - excellent! A Lidl nearby the subway - great! A large city map, we free of charge from the reception got - great! In August is time of vacation in Barcelona for the locals, therefore the city was a bit quiet ( traffic wise) - pleasant! read more

Already our third trip to Barcelona, for the first time in this hotel. We wanted this time a city break with swimming connect, which this hotel is ideal.
Check in and-out ran smoothly, city map was automatically presented. The room 610 in the 6th floor had lateral view of the sea, the location to a calm inner courtyard. Air conditioning radios. Gorgeous. Bathroom was big enough, bath with a shower curtain. Cleanliness and change the towels were reasonable, although the room late in the afternoon only had been cleaned. Breakfast was mediocre, crumbly scrambled eggs, good Spanish Jamon, cheese and ... on offer, the juices were watered down and tasted not to define, the coffee deserved its name. Subway and bus connection, as well as distance to the beach are prima, on the way to metro lots of bars and very good food ( Paella fresh for 8,50 Euro, beer San Miguel well chilled 0.33 litre for 1 euro), good Indian food. Many shops ( Supermercado ) on the way to the subway. Ideal for us was the T-10 ticket for the ride to the airport. Definitely reputation: gothic quarter in day and night, Castillo de montjuic, port Vell, Barcoleneta, Parc de la Ciutadella, Ramblas up and down, mercat La Boqueria and, and, and, and
The beach in the Hotel Mar Bella is nudist beach, bathing suit is but also card accepted, showers available.

The hotel is ideal location, if you to the beach would, which is very nice. Bus connection is also good and drives regularly. One is quite fast in the town. The lady at the reception was very nice and polite. Only had once bad luck with a slightly younger man, the somewhat Moody worked. I had only booked accommodation and breakfast. We enjoyed the breakfast not so good, since it is very sparse anymore and not too fresh and lovingly daherkam. There is a sort of cheese and sausage, artificial scrambled egg and fat soaking Bacon. A little fruit, which ... partly served, and much cakes. It served its purpose, but the taste was not so the hit.

Found it by the value for money really recommendable!
10 minutes on foot to the great beach, almost right on the doorstep a bus connection to the center! Is really good for a city trip and beach vacation!
Staff were always friendly and always information gave as one where comes, linguistically super understandable!
Breakfast was in my opinion super much offer and fresh fruit!
The hotel is actually located at a large street, we however nothing received. Only loud was the room service every morning!
Rooms were okay, everything was clean. The air conditioning with the temperature super, however very ... noisy.
Free Wi-Fi there were unfortunately only in the lobby!
All together however really recommendable, if you are the day only! read more

For a city break great value for money in July.
A bit too far off the beaten path, about 15 minutes to to Metro station and then about 30 minutes drive to the center from Barcelona.
To the beach it are about 15 walking minutes. The beach is clean and everything necessary such as cafés, showers and toilet' s available.
Unfortunately there is no free Wi-Fi. The public free internet computer in the lobby was always occupied.
The intern at the front desk was however so nice online for our flight einzucheken and tickets to print.
The hotel lies directly ... at a busy street, as well as also highway, accordingly the noise level is very high. The airco in the room is pleasant but way too loud. The Chambermaids, as well as Neighbors were not also the slightest. From in the morning at 7 o'clock was a permanent doors bangings to hear.
The breakfast buffet had everything you need. The staff stock too many from trainees which is not particularly motivated and capable were. The table only half-hearted wiped/cleaned and everything ended up on the chairs and floor.
In short: we would not again book this hotel. But if you are a lot on the way and cheap sleep and the time for long ways card accepted the hotel is okay. read more

For people like us, after a Stadtbesichtigungstour a break want to a few hours at the beach to relax was the location of the hotel optimal. To a few hundred meters you had achieved his goal. On the other hand is the center with public transport easy to reach. The bus station for the sightseeing is immediate Nights ( very recommendable). If you are looking for a strenuous day hecticness would like to avoid, visit the localown center ( Rambla). 5 minutes from the hotel away, you will find there nice restaurants and bars.

Various employee at the front desk, but not everybody was competent.
Rooms okay., but towels were only on request changed.

To the metro somewhat to walk, but the hop on hop off -bus stops directly left next to the hotel.
Good proximity to the beach, the first beach Bistro-which comes, is good and staff nice and attentive.

Beautiful promenade, clean, until port olimpic and furthermore to Barceloneta walking.
