We stayed in this hotel in el calafate as a starting point for excursions to the glacier perito moreno. The design of the hotel to the great, very modern, lots of antlers, much skin, simply great. The staff at the hotel was nothing special friendly, in particular at the front desk. The hotel isn't very central on a hill, however you are in 5-10 minute walk away from the 'center' of el calafate. The pool area is really nice, unfortunately there is no gym and the opening hours of the pool are not all day, but only from 17 o'clock. ... - not to understand. read more

Above el calafate located boutique hotel with walking distance of the nice, small, very touristic city center. From the outside rather a little more repulsive construction proves inside and extremely nice designed hotel with lots of great design elements, generous lobby, beautiful bar and food/breakfast room. We had booked a suite, you should definitely to 8 in the lower two floors and not on the attic storey (3. floor) to go back, as this by a slanted roof there clearly smaller and was darker. However on the 2. floor very comfortable, generous living and sleeping area on altogether approximately 50 ... meters², integrated open bathroom with a separate, large, walk-in shower. Magnificent view on the lago argentino. Breakfast buffet sufficient and of good quality. Restaurant recommendation in the city centre: mile rancho! read more

Esplendor calafate is located a little bit out of town from the center (about 10 minutes on foot) on a hillside. The extraordinary, stylish atmosphere same somewhat annoying walk again. Spacious room with a beautiful bathroom made the stay pleasant. There is a good and big breakfast. If you dinner would like, it will be expensive, therefore, the recommendation, stay down in the place to go. There, there are enough choice. read more

During our Argentina trip we are twice at this hotel. The design of the hotel is really fantastic. It is absolutely correct and comfortable. Whether you are traveling in the lounge, the restaurant or in the rooms.
We had once dinner, was absolutely okay, if it wasn't't a culinary highlight. It was somewhat annoying that the service really no spoke English. A butter order could take a quarter of an hour. Then we had a long trip for dinner a Hamburger, it was really good and freshly prepared.
Bad is the breakfast, much too monotonous (once again cheese sausage) absolutely ... nothing fresh such as tomatoes, cucumbers etc. the coffee we found all terrible and changed to tea. Once was even the scrambled eggs partly burnt and remained fully take chairs.
We stayed three nights in this hotel and had a gorgeous room. Large, with a view of the Lago Argentina and El calafate. At the my second visit (1 night) we had no such a nice room. It was very small and you could walk around with the open suitcases barely fit in the room.
We did not repent the visit and would certainly not again at any time check-in. read more
