Truly amazing luxury nestled in beautiful gardens with views to die for across the reef. I felt like I was staying in one of the huge plantation homes that you see on the movies, where life becomes refined, your days slow down and you start to really smell the roses, as it were. The staff do an amazing job of keeping the grounds perfect at all times which an attention to detail not normally seen. read more

The Villas have been personally designed by Luigi & Margaret, your hosts. They are luxurious, spacious and each have their own personality. Large bedroom suites with beauitfully designed ensuite bathrooms, open views across the bay, decks for relaxing on and a small kitchen for guests convenience. They overlook the pool and the breakwater making them perfect for families with older children...Mum & Dad can relax on the deck while keeping an eye on the children at play.

You have to go to understand this service. The food is first rate and they use local produce where possible, which extends your experience of Fiji and it's customs and food. Every meal is an occasion! Wish I lived like this all the time:)

La Dolce Vita is situated about 1/2 hour from Savusavu airport. The drive takes you past small villages, stretches of Fijian bush and around corners with the most breathtaking views of the ocean. Once you are there...everything is at your finger tips..the bay, the reef, two pools, extensive grounds, bushwalking, golf course, trips across the bay to see the water wildlife...the list goes on...

We arrived in Savusavu to discover some problems with our accommodation at another resort. We called Margaret to see whether she could take us (4 adults plus 1 baby) immediately for 6 nights. We are so pleased that she said yes because we had the most amazing week staying at La Dolce Vita! Everything about the resort was 5 star - the people, accommodation, food, scenery, and activities. This resort is a hidden gem and I am already planning my next visit. Highly recommended. read more

Our villas were beautiful and comfortable, and kept clean and tidy by the friendly, attentive staff. All four of the villas have fantastic views.

The chef, Michelle, created wonderful food for us, including teppanyaki in the teppanyaki bar. Every meal was fabulous and we really appreciated the care taken to ensure that baby Rory had suitable food.

The service was exceptional. Margaret and Luigi are wonderful, welcoming hosts with great ideas. We loved hearing about all their projects and can't wait for the tree house to be built. They (and their staff) catered to our every whim - and had usually foreseen what we wanted before we even asked!

We enjoyed relaxing by the pool but particularly enjoyed being able to swim laps in the 80m long lagoon. There were plenty of activities to do (if we chose) including being taken to a fantastic snorkelling site, kayaking to the inland salt lake, walking to the nearby island at low tide, hiking to the top of the hill, playing golf, and visiting Savusavu town. We had massages (out on the point, overlooking the ocean). And we enjoyed our 'singing competition' with the local guys after our kava ceremony.

I chanced upon this hidden paradise and started in a double room villa. It is a getaway to reconnect with oneself ( Mind and Body ) away from the the hassle and bustle of everyday life. The rooms are clean and offer the simple touch of a home away from home. There are only 5 villas which all overlook the waters. Once you are picked up by Margaret and Luigi everything else is taken care for you. You will an open mind of not expecting anything and allow them the opportunity to surprise you. The Rooms are properly stocked with ... sufficient towels and toiletries and the "family" at La Dolce Vita keeps you in mind and always strive to anticipate your needs. You may have your laundry done for you at nominal costs. You can have just the breakfast package or include lunch and dinner. Its totally up to you. I MUST invite you to consider to get your meals there because they have a resident chef - Michele who cooks the most delightful dishes. He surprises me for every meal and the meal i have will be always better than the last! It has been a gastronomic delight!! This hidden paradise focuses on family and age group ranges from all levels. This is a place for a healing of the Body Mind and Soul. I felt my spirit being was uplifted and rejuvenated read more

The room has a homely feel and there is water, coffee, coconut juice and the really nice homemade cookies. There are coffee making facilities and a stove if you need. You can also potentially cook if you like but why bother if Michele can be cooking your meals. There is a decent size of accommodation for 2 people villa or 4 people villa. If you have special requirements check with Margaret and see if she can assist. All you need for a relaxing getaway is available there.

Michele the resident chef is a good cook and you can tailor what you would like to eat on a daily basis. Michele can whip up many types of food and i urge you to try his Authentic Fijian Food. Your meals are prepared in accordance to your timings and delivered to you if you prefer to eat at the villa or at the hut facing the waters. The overall dining areas are clean and they ensure all precautions are taken care of to present the most tantalising foods. Food and drinks are separate charges and this is to provide you flexibility if you choose to move around during the day. The food is a really nice atmosphere. Tipping practises please check with Margaret.

The staff treats everyone like family and will assist with your requests as best as they can. They are friendly helpful and warm. They speak English and clean your rooms everyday or if you prefer only when you ask. You can get laundry done at a fee. If you require any other type of assistance you might also request that from Margaret and Luigi and they can assist you the best that they can. I will be surprised if you have any complaints at all.

You can do water activities like swimming in the pool or at the salt water. there are sun beds which is by the pool or you might be able to request for it to be brought to the edge where the ocean is. Feel free to contact Margaret to check what other leisure activities you can do. I just basically relaxed by the pool and do massages all day. There are basic shower facilities and because the pool is so near the villa you might want to just go back to the villa to shower!

The surrounding is absolutely a quite paradise. There is a salt water pool where you can swim and play on the waterslides and relax on the seats by the water. You can have drinks brought to you and enjoy that. It is about 30mins away from the town because of that you can have a real relaxing time away from the hustle and bustle. You can organise massages at your villas where you hear the waves. This has to be pre booked in advanced so that you can have one local therapists to give you a true Fijian Massage. Just the basics and this will uplift your spirits. There is a swimming pool and spa pool near the main dining area which allows you to enjoy yourself. It is clean so pleasant surprise to be everyday. The best bit is on a cloudless night you can see the stars and in the morning see the amazing sun rise......

I can not begin to tell you how amazing this place is. La Dolce Vita is trully a hidden gem that offers you 5 star luxury with the most wonderful personal touch. The hosts Luigi and Margaret are the most hospitable people I have come across in all my travels. Not only do they look after your every need but best of all they really make you feel like you are part of their extended family. By the time you leave you feel like you have truly made two new friends for life. The accomodation is just fabulous with well ... appointed villas and unbelievable grounds. So much more than you expect. Luigi and Margarets attention to detail can be seen every where you look from the detail in the wood carved verhanda's to the fresh coconut water and biscuits left for you every evening. read more

I was blown away with the level of luxury and the size of my villa. I felt totally spoilt! My villa was very well appointed with all the mod con's including ipod docking station, fridge and kitchenet. The beautiful teak shutters allowed the most wonderful breeze to filtter through my room everynight cooling it right down whilst allowing me to enjoy the ambiance of the area. The large glass doors offered me the security that I needed at night whilst allowing me to enjoy the beautiful view that my balcony had to offer. I just loved it!!!!

The location is quite reomote about a half an hour drive from the local town and 45 minutes to the airport. However don't let that sway you as it is absolute heaven and there is no need to leave La Dolce Vita it has everything you want and more. In fact the remote location only adds to it's appeal.
