The hotel is very modern and captivates with its design. The lobby is large and well organized. The terrace on the ground floor as an extension to the bar is really very nice and large enough with chairs and sun loungers, so many space can find. Probably find pool parties. The pool falls relatively small for such a large hotel (approximately 470 rooms). The view is superb. In all there are 26 floors, whereby in the 26. a bar/disco with house music roared is. For this one arrives with an extra lift. In the elevator you always need the 'key' ... for a floor to be able to set, so that no foreign tourists on the floors around may. Wireless internet should be per day 14 Euro extra costs, which in our eyes an absurdity is, particularly when you McDonald's around the corner this service for free has! read more

    Unfortunately our reservation-wishes not taken into account. We had a 'fabulous room' with the note as far as possible above (!) And a non-smoking (!) -room. We got a room in the 9. floor of 25, the as a non-smoker-room was labeled, but one saw clear cigarettes- verbrennungsspuren on the plastic sink... The glass door to the shower did not completely close, so the water partly into the room and the toilet ran. Super extensive were the kosmetik articles. Next to the usual were even eye makeup remover, washing gel and conditioner available. The hair dryer was perfect (no hotel-hair dryer). Moreover in the closet an ironing board and iron (!). Impressive was beside this fantastic view of the long sandy beach the hotel! A welcome, we have missed, also the usual bonscher on the bed. A flowers in the room (without windows) would have been nice, because in Spain bloom in march flowers and could have been so something natural in the stylish rooms.

    The breakfast buffet was definitely not international and not diverse. (filter-) coffee and orange juice were constantly refilled. Unfortunately, there was the same choice every morning of bread and rolls, cold cuts, ham and cheese. Exactly like 2 sorts of fish (salmon). The fruit selection was excellent and very extensive. Different juices were available, also teas, but unfortunately no wandered. Cereals and cake there was also, but not in crowds. Warm dishes there was no! Eggs had specially ordered and paid for. The restaurant we didn't try it, as we in the town ate very well.

    The staff was friendly, but it seemed very reserved (not conceited to write ) for example the lady, who in the morning the guests the table assigns. Wishes are but, if possible, fulfilled. With english you can communicate very well. Some of the staff also speak a little german. The rooms were cleaned daily and are very clean. Used cosmetics are re-filled accordingly. But we had after the first day no bathrobes more and have no more up to our departure receive. Why also always...

    The pool we would have liked to try it, but it was just waited. On demand this should be only one day, but he was until the departure (5 days) not completed. Unfortunately, this was the only pool (outdoor swimming pool on the terrace) and not heated. In the spa there is a jacuzzi, you however only use, if you at least book a treatment. I would have more service and flexibility of the hotel expected, since a hotel no pool no star hotel can be! The gym was very generous and with all necessary equipment. Jogging at the beach offers and was often perceived.

    The location right on the 5 kilometer long sandy beach is very nice. To the nearby restaurants on foot it is only a couple of minutes, if you don't the strandlokalitäten want to use. Also to the harbor or the bus stop. Enough taxis are always in front of the hotel. The taxis are affordable and easily. The audience is international and from the ages were mixed. Definitely were all well behaved (also the children).

About us, we do in 2-3 city breaks in exceptional hotel. As i with the reservation somewhat cautious am sending i the hotel a hotel-photo and mark which room i wanted. I would not want to kellersuite! Here the top floors-harbour views! Shall confirm. (of course it was not reserved) It took 3 tries and a reference to my starwood- mitgliedkarte to me a price with room number to call. Further i book in hotels which i dont know only times only one night and that was good sunday Maybe my review is somewhat austere, but we are not talking ... about a dschungelhütte in niger for 4 €, but two 00 at this price. You are european, so an e. evaluation. However, it, that the staff in niger certainly friendly and would have been cleaner. Here absolutely unfriendly, unqualified staff without manners. However, according to a majority of the audience. Positive, unbelievable views. The safe on clean windows clear would have been. The rooms would be ok if they have a member of the cleaning staff would frequent. 24 hours on the day you will in the hotel from gruselmusik from blechdosenlautsprechern opposite. Rude the surcharges, but easy to remember, spa 20 €, internet 20 €, disco 20 € It is not even a indoor pool! Breakfast 25 €. But if the breakfast room look at is definitely not on the idea here for breakfast. Queue! 2 people are therefore paying 50 €!. It is cheaper to the center with the taxi and one escapes the rude waiters. Similar in the industriekantine in the basement(says restaurant) In the evening in front of the hotel and disco plenty of black prostitutes and pimps. Who likes it i always something the aids rate in the head. Nothing for an evening walk in front of the hotel. Conclusion, nice view, but a visit is enough. That was a return visit after a year. Simply great when -17°c in Berlin and start with 17 °c in Barcelona to land. We are furthermore absolutely thrilled by the largest pulspunkt of the hotel: the view. The staff of the check in's and in the restaurants was exemplary friendly and helpful. We received a free ugrade from the 'wonderful' to the ' fabulous ' with a view of the town beach from la barceloneta. The food for breakfast and everynight in the w bar was great (as well as the drinks). Only drawback like already with the last attendance ... was not perfect cleanliness on the rooms. It was everything cleaned, however one saw on the frosted glass the shower/toilet the streaks of lappens. We will come next year definitely again read more

The w hotel belongs to the most expensive and best hotels Barcelona has to offer. It also has a nice location! What a bit annoying, is however the fact that it is a little 'truncated' is. I had with the taxi the nearest metro station, the w hotel a bit out of the way. Otherwise the rooms are 'wireless-typical ' very stylish, classy and decorated up to date, just my taste! If they experienced a guest of 5 star hotels are, let the hotel left! Unclean, inexperienced (18 to 25 thousand year old staff without much 5-star experience). A breakfast buffet with about 40 tables for 500 rooms! Long queues on a breakfast. Unfriendly made excessive demands of waiters, modest (continental) breakfast, no hot foods, chaos!. As an alternative a restaurant in the basement in the prison look, polluted soil from steel sheets, cheap kantinesühle, it should be 'cool' work. The hallways dark red in the polluted with (staff?), loud music 24 hours on the day. Our room 14 floor with ... a great view, it would be not the dirty windows a blickhinderniss. No rooms-controls on the cleanliness. Not rinsed wine glasses, dust and dirt on the tables, bedlinen after three days on request replaced etc. In the lobby young, überdrehte, distanzlose, very selbsverliebte men with bad manners and little interest in the guests (from the they live). The guests very young and noisy. For breakfast with laptops on the tables. The atmosphere very cool, impersonal. The wine list in the restaurant via iPod! In the lobby many prostitutes with their pimps waiting on the inlet in the night club (for the time being elevator ) on the 24 floor. In front of the hotel (very dark and not harmless) drug dealers with drugs in plastic bags. No hotel staff outside. Your baggage you get to the room only in demand brought. Unfortunately, we were 6 nights in the hotel and tried to another hotel to change, but it was not possible, the hotel is on the money of not happy guests rely on. If you service from Hilton, ritz and co. Are used to, older than 40 years, avoid this establishment, they save much annoyance, disappointment and experience with young people 'cool' staff.     Not very clean, carpet, doors, bathrooms were very worn out. Lights and lamps work not always. No or broken light bulbs. Dirty glasses. No anbendskontrollen the room. Dust and fingerprints of the previous guests.

If you the staff other restaurant in the town questions, they are already overstrained. They are inexperienced and poor, and can nothing good recommend. They are eating just in schülerkantinen. Room very... Clean. Roomservice sleeps until half 8., front desk longer. Long queues before. You say itself ' we are too few', i believe: to inexperienced, too young, maybe still in training.

It didn't disturb me only on the edge but there it is. Upgrade (as spg platinum) to a suite, modern, sylisch. On the 2. view a leather sofa along the edges sharpened, black hair on the bed, so not really ... clean. An open bathroom and toilet, modern. But in using unpleasant. Without any privacy, even if you with his partner on the way is, i am nevertheless somewhat intimacy. Absolute luxury hotel directly at the beach. Very friendly friendly and accommodating staff that gladly fulfilled every wish! The view from the room is of course a dream, there is sleeping for irrelevant! All hotel deals to use, you should have a large budget are provided with or a highly developed Gleichgültigkeitsgefühl what money regards have. Our room left however a lot of cleanliness to be desired, toilet with stains and traces, walls with flaws, sofa with stains... This is for a hotel this price range not acceptable. read more

Unfortunately we had to for a very long time our room wait, even though we arrived in the afternoon arrived. Check in somewhat overburdened. Pros - as always, you will find the W vibe here: trendy ambience, young staff, music everywhere. Whenever, whatever. WOW. - hotel is housed in a modern landmark building (skyscraper) - very large, modern rooms (with all the amenities you want) and very comfortable bed - view from the higher rooms is SPECTACULAR (the best in Barcelona) be sure to ask a higher located room. - staff was very friendly and helpful kudus to them and the management. - location, location, location right on the beach with private beach club (no other hotel in Barcelona can offer you this resort-like ... vibe) Cons - As an SPG platinum member, I was entitled to free internet, and free breakfast, and room upgrade. However, normally you have to pay for the internet and breakfast, so just check that out before you book to avoid disappointment during your stay. - Swimming pool was rather small for a hotel of this size. - both check-in and check-out were not smooth as there was a huge line. - there is loud music everywhere and the vibe is orientated towards a younger clientele (as with all W hotels), so this may not be the kind of place that older couples are looking for. read more

Hotel was really a 'experience', Great view. To be silent completely. Amazing. I/we know many 4 stars hotels, but this hotel has already something 'for young people', I don't know (we were from mid/end 30) found it to be very loud, busy life, there are also lots to see in the hotel. On the top floor is a disco, which is the lobby (lobby and bar area very noisy makes). However in the rooms you get absolutely nothing at all with, course nice and quiet. Rarely so quiet nights sleep! Great, air-conditioner, dark the ' lake view rooms-complete glass' wow. ... All about remote control on bed gate, even a change-mood lighting. Everything was, that you need, mega spacious rooms, sophisticated decor, all details. What bad evaluation of us would the entrance area: for a 5 star hotel is the hall very, very high and large, then echo loud techno music, the whole day! Since you could dezentere music playing, you could hardly talk. However as mentioned, in the rooms they give you nothing with. Is still a very new hotel, the shops, bars etc. Everything is only with long foot march attainable, or rikshaws (bicycle rickshaw service, so we left it). For 15, -€ about the next shopping possibilities, or restaurants to drive. Inside city/old town is (almost) only by taxi distance. Or you have to go far and long walk. Beach, staff (only english speaking), of spanish flair here you get nothing at all with. Thought i am in England. Only young people. Since i myself something spanish can do, i was in Barcelona finally back to know how to speak some spanish. However in the hotel you understand that nothing. Only english i find that somewhat a pity! But apart from that: great, great, great, great beach. (a toilet course on the top floor is worthwhile. Except for the Toilets ☺ is sink etc. All this glass fronted with mega-view. Beautiful. Gladly again, however in the town you can z. luck still to spaniards find! read more
